13/08/2026: The experience was pleasant overall in this small Montpellier square, a lovely spot to enjoy some small dishes paired with good wines. The tapas portions are relatively small, but never mind. The waitress who served us was very friendly and offered helpful advice... and here comes the BUT... what could have been a pleasant evening ended with the manager's (?) rather unpleasant behavior at the time of payment... clearly tired of dealing with tourists dining in his establishment... we concluded that it wasn't the right time... probably too early or too late ;)

12/08/2026: Home-style cooking with fresh ingredients, which is much appreciated. A warm welcome, a small but lovely local wine list, all located on the very pretty Place de la Chapelle Neuve.

21/08/2026: Extremely long wait to be served: 1 hour and 30 minutes for a meal (even though we had a reservation). They forgot to serve us dessert. We gave up... No reason for it, as there were few customers. The quality of the food was mediocre. The dishes were far too overcooked [they must have been left in the warm for a long time]. The price is excessive for what is served: quantity, quality, preparation, and presentation. Avoid at all costs!!!

04/07/2026: Here, we love: Rachelle's cooking and her delicious dishes. Eating local. Arnaud's good humor and wit. We also love lingering after our meal to chat with them. The restaurant is a must-visit in town. You can no longer fill up your car here, but you can fill up on good times. 5 stars, and if I could have given more, I would have been delighted.

30/05/2026: A very fine establishment, expertly run by the owner, with a sharp wit, just the way I like it. Recommended by the wine merchant, whose neighbor is Monsieur Jean's wine shop. Simple, regional cuisine, very flavorful, served in a 60s/70s setting, reminding me of my youth. Very clean establishment. Also boasts a lovely terrace. It's a shame we were only passing through... I highly recommend it and I will return...

26/05/2026: If you're passing through Gevrey-Chambertin, you absolutely must stop at this charming little restaurant. It boasts a fantastic vintage decor inside and a lovely terrace out front. The menu is concise, featuring fresh, local ingredients: snails, parsley ham, baked eggs with Époisses cheese, beef bourguignon... And, as expected in the region, a nice wine list. The small adjoining shop is full of all sorts of lovely items.

02/08/2026: We had lunch at Le Loup de Mer restaurant. There were two adults and a three-year-old child in our party, and what can I say? The service was top-notch, with waiters who were incredibly attentive to our requests, especially considering we had a three-year-old with us. They were very accommodating and caring. The food was excellent.

22/05/2026: A lovely little brasserie where the food is excellent, a special mention for the spiced pork spider steak – absolutely divine! The service was very welcoming, even for wheelchair users. Go there if you're in the area, but be warned, it fills up quickly, especially at lunchtime; booking is definitely recommended! I'll definitely be back and I'll recommend it to all my friends.

01/08/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! The setting is simply exceptional, with magnificent late 19th-century frescoes that give the place a unique atmosphere. This restaurant, housed in a historic building, is worth the trip alone. As for the food, everything was excellent: homemade dishes, flavorful and prepared with care. The service was also impeccable, with smiling, attentive, and very pleasant staff. A big thank you to the entire team! If you're ever in Mens, don't hesitate for a second; you'll have a fantastic time.

30/07/2026: We had lunch in a beautiful setting. The meal was visually stunning and, above all, delicious. One small hiccup: the use of AI on the syrup menu—please, AI doesn't create beautiful images. We also waited an hour for our food to arrive. Aside from that, go for it! The atmosphere is fantastic, and Jo and his two friends were hilarious.

16/08/2026: A bit disappointed with our first experience at Ernest's. It was certainly very hot that evening, but the welcome wasn't very warm, and we were really let down by the €50 set menu. The food was rather bland, which is a shame because the ingredients were of good quality. The dessert was just two scoops of ice cream in a glass, not even enhanced by a small cake or a dollop of whipped cream! The set menu is still expensive for our taste! A very disappointing experience.

14/08/2026: We had lunch under a lovely pergola, facing a magnificent fig tree which, I confess, almost made me want to climb it… I hope you'll be picking the figs! We were seated in the back, far from the kitchens, in perfect peace and quiet—which is no small thing when you know that, in busy and proactive teams, a few passionate shouts can sometimes accompany the service. 😄 So it's decided, Ernest: you deserve your five stars, especially when we eat in the back! And above all, we want to come back. Your rib of beef was fantastic, cooked exactly as it should be and incredibly tender. Even Maël, 4 years old—almost 5!—found it very tender. And that, for me, is an undeniable gastronomic benchmark. Next time, we'll come and enjoy your lovely terrace. If it's sunny, we'll ask for a parasol… even if it means a bit more arguing about where to put it! And if everything goes this well next time, we promise we'll even try to cultivate a sixth star. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌱 See you very soon!

28/07/2026: A very good restaurant where we had lunch. We were able to try different dishes and desserts from the menu thanks to a 50% discount when booking with The Fork. You can also book to guarantee a table and get 2000 bonus Yums (equivalent to €50) with this code 84DC1247 (enter it at the end of the booking process when you confirm). The service is quick and efficient. A nice spot in the Passage des Panoramas, with outdoor seating in the passage. A good bistro menu with quality ingredients. The dishes are well-prepared, with fairly normal portions, which is perfect if you also have a dessert or starter. I recommend the desserts! The value for money is a little less appealing, however, if you eat without the booking discount. We ordered (with the 50% discount): - Cantal burger and homemade fries: brioche bun and a perfectly cooked patty. There wasn't much Cantal cheese; I think a regular burger would be a better choice. The homemade sauce, on the other hand, is amazing!! (€7.95) - Trio of tartares (Salers / Bleu d'Auvergne / Duck foie gras): a lovely combination, the fries are really good (€10.45) - Butcher's cut, when we were there: rump steak heart: perfectly cooked, small portion, a bit like a cafeteria, but for the discount, I don't find it too bad (€9.45) - Thin apple tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream: excellent!! Served still warm and goes perfectly with the ice cream. A little sweet treat to finish! (€4.25) - Crème brûlée: a classic, also great for finishing the meal (€4.25)

27/07/2026: I received a very warm welcome from Bouchra, and the desserts were delicious. I had a red fruit cheesecake, and my companion had a chocolate fondant. I highly recommend it; it's a really lovely experience.

11/07/2026: Extremely good food for a nice price. The buffet is really good and a single dish has a very good amount of food. Strongly recommend.

22/06/2026: I came before the administrative closure – I was sick with my colleague in January…two more colleagues were sick later in February…it's outrageous! Even though the buffet was well-stocked, I no longer trust them, and what about the origin of the meat? What can I say? Read the article in Le Progrès.

27/03/2026: We spent one night here on our way back from Spain to Germany. The town itself didn't impress us, but the hotel certainly did! Everything is very clean and newly renovated, and the staff is extremely friendly. We were able to park our car in a beautifully restored barn. The food in the restaurant was also delicious, and the staff was exceptionally attentive. If we're ever in this area again, we'll definitely stay here again.

21/06/2026: Don't hesitate to stop by; this inn has a great capacity. The staff is lovely and eager to please. We enjoyed some spring rolls and other delicious specialties that weren't too spicy. The rump steak was good, and a special mention goes to the homemade sautéed potatoes! A very pleasant little dessert to finish, at very reasonable prices for the portion sizes. We'll definitely be back...
