The quality of the products is excellent (bread from the baker and meat from the butcher). If you have the chance to pass through Aups, stop by Santa's (ask for the "naughty sauce," yum yum!) 🥰☀️

The madeleine cocktail was a delightful discovery. For my starter, I had plump, pearly scallops cooked to a perfect pearly sheen—simply superb, especially with the vermouth reduction. My main course was monkfish tail risotto with carrots and thyme. Dessert was a generous pistachio crème brûlée—a true delight. Never two without three!

Everything is perfect: the setting, the atmosphere, the warm welcome, and above all, the delicious, generous, and flavorful cuisine. You can feel their passion, hard work, and desire to please in every detail. It's rare to see young people so dedicated and talented. This is an address that truly deserves to be known and recognized. We will definitely be back!

29/05/2026: A lovely, leafy spot in the heart of Angoulême. The welcome was warm, and our hostess provided clear explanations. The ingredients were very fresh, the meat incredibly tender, and the fries were amazing. Excellent from start to finish. We'll be back as soon as possible.

10/05/2026: The waiter lacked a smile; we asked for ketchup for the child's meal and we're still waiting. Arrived at 12:15 PM and left at 2:45 PM. The wait between the main course and dessert was very long, 45 minutes. The excuse given was that it was very busy. Tables that finished after us were served dessert before us. I think it's a lack of competence, even though we know recruitment is difficult. Luckily, not all restaurants operate this way. Furthermore, there was a €52 error on the bill. After a flat apology, the difference was refunded, but there was no gesture of goodwill. It's shameful.

10/05/2026: Review posted live. Table of six, one hour wait to be served. When the food arrived, two waits: one burger ordered without sauce arrived with sauce, and a second one ordered with rice arrived with fries. When the food was returned, the meat had been ordered rare, but the first bite was well-done. The second dish was sent back for about ten minutes. When the next dish was returned, there was no change in cooking; I was given the same burger with the same ground beef patty, but with the missing piece. Unacceptable. I do not recommend this restaurant, and certainly not their burgers. If you can't manage this many tables, you need to reconsider your seating capacity.

12/12/2025: Update December 2025: Same as before, but on a Friday at lunchtime. May 2024: I had lunch there on a Sunday and the place is pleasant. The meal went well; the dishes were good, generous, and well-presented. The service was discreet, and the atmosphere was calm. Perfect for me.

11/12/2025: It's a shame, I used to come here regularly for a meal or a drink on my train... My last three visits had annoyed me with the nonchalant and slow service. Today, after about fifteen minutes of no one paying any attention to me, and "acknowledging" the waiter's efforts to look away and avoid disturbing his boredom by taking my order, I left without ordering anything. This will be my last visit, which is a real shame because the place is quite pleasant and the food is decent. The manager really needs to shake things up!
