18/08/2026: We ate at Comptoir de l’Océan today, a party of five adults and four children. 🌊 We received a wonderful welcome, with a warm greeting and really friendly servers. The food was delicious and everyone had a great time. A fantastic place that I highly recommend! 👍

09/08/2026: One star because zero is not an option. At 12:56 PM, we arrived as a family—two adults and one child—at this "restaurant," which states on its Google page that it's open from 12 PM to 3 PM. The manager opened the door only to tell us, "I'm full, I'm not taking anyone else," and then slammed the door in our faces without hesitation, even though several tables appeared to be free both inside and outside the restaurant. There was absolutely no sense of hospitality. Beyond the refusal, we didn't hear a "hello," "sorry," or "goodbye." Being able to serve meals doesn't make you a restaurateur. You clearly lack some fundamental skills, or perhaps they're only known to a select few regulars. I don't usually leave negative reviews on Google, but this refusal, both in substance and in form, deserves to be highlighted.

02/08/2026: Without any prior arrangement, we discovered this little restaurant thanks to our son. A wonderful find! A small, unassuming restaurant, but as soon as you step inside, you receive a very warm welcome from a friendly owner and generous, delicious dishes. Everyone who enters greets you with "hello" and wishes you a pleasant meal; the atmosphere is family-run, which is so refreshing these days. Please don't change a thing. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for everything.

07/07/2026: It's good, but smaller than before and expensive for what it is. €3 for a cabbage...outrageous!

03/07/2026: A rather mixed experience, as I found the cream puffs quite dry. I think they'd been sitting in the display case for several days, maybe even a week. They were extremely dry, but the cream fillings inside were smooth. I still tried to salvage them.

14/08/2026: The staff were welcoming and attentive – that was a real pleasure! The food was good and generous, which is important, especially these days when portions are getting smaller and smaller elsewhere while prices keep rising! The location is lovely, shaded by trees along the river. In short, I'll definitely be back! See you soon 😉

12/08/2026: I'm a huge fan of the riverbanks, and this spot is just a 5-minute walk from the train station. I settled down along the canal and ordered from the bar – the atmosphere was so cool, with soft background music and a beautiful view. For those passing through Nantes, I recommend doing this as soon as you leave, because it will leave you with an unforgettable memory.

31/05/2026: 68 euros for a four-course menu. This included three elaborate amuse-bouches, delicious bread (refilled regularly), sorbet before the main course, and sweets after dessert. Everything seemed homemade and handcrafted. Beautifully presented. Taste-wise, it was perfect! Only the asparagus with the liver was a bit bland. Beautifully set tables, cloth napkins, and tablecloths were a given. The service was discreet and attentive. However, not all staff members were professionals or fluent in the local language. The guests were German, which is hardly surprising. For that price, you could get a mediocre three-course meal in Germany; if you're lucky, you might even get a dry roll left over from breakfast. Bravo for this menu! For this level of effort at this price point! Our expectations were far exceeded! Thank you!

28/05/2026: We've been to this restaurant twice for colleagues' retirement parties held there. The food and service were of very high quality. The staff were pleasant and smiling. The restaurant's decor is refined. No complaints whatsoever. Well done! 👍👏

07/08/2026: This restaurant aims for a high standard: amuse-bouche, crumb sweeper, service, and presentation. The food is very good, with fresh, well-presented ingredients. Unfortunately, a few things detract from this impressive impression, hence the 4-star rating. First, the dishes are far too generous! The portions could almost be halved. Then, unpleasant surprises at the end of the meal: the doggy bag is charged at €1.50 (quite surprising, really, to encourage food waste...), and a half-bottle of water is charged at €4.50! Luckily, the waiter offered a carafe of water midway through the meal, otherwise we would have paid €15 for water! In conclusion, I recommend this restaurant. The food is good, the waiters are attentive without being intrusive, and the setting is very pleasant. Just be prepared for the large portions and remember to ask for a carafe of water.

20/08/2026: After a beautiful hike, we waited 20 minutes for a drink. We went somewhere else. This is a problem we've encountered before in this valley.

18/08/2026: Excellent value for money compared to similar establishments in the area. Special mention for the whole duck breast at €26 (flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth tender, French origin 🙌🏻). Also worth noting is their excellent selection of 33cl bottled beers at very reasonable prices (and €6 for Paix Dieu, Duvel, Chouffe, etc.). Highly recommended! 🙌🏻

29/07/2026: Attentive service, decent food, but the quality/price ratio is completely unbalanced. The menu prices are far too high for what you get on your plate.
