28/07/2026: First experience was great. Second experience was terrible. We were two adults and two children. The service was very slow, they lost our order, and we waited 45 minutes between courses with children aged two and four. Not good at all. The owner was unfriendly when we complained. We won't be going back.

The welcome was warm and genuinely kind, and the meal was excellent. The salad was generous, and the mixed meats were perfect. The blueberry tart was delicious. 5 stars with our thanks! 😄

20/01/2026: An absolute top recommendation! Superb hospitality and outstanding, personalized service in all areas. Modern Basque ambiance. Quiet location on the edge of the picturesque village, with numerous impressive hikes accessible both directly from the hotel and within easy driving distance. The Atlantic coast (St.-Jean-de-Luz!) is also reachable in about 30-40 minutes. Large pool. Excellent cuisine (vegetarian menus with fish instead of meat are available; purely vegetarian or vegan options are difficult).

25/05/2026: A truly exceptional lunch. We opted for the four-course menu, and the entire meal was beautiful, delicious, and expertly executed, with inventive petit fours. Special mention goes to the service, which exceeded the expectations of a one-Michelin-starred restaurant. The dining room was a delightful surprise, opening onto the garden and offering the option of enjoying aperitifs and coffee outdoors. A fine selection of wines is available in the cellar for those who wish to indulge.

A superb hotel in a beautiful setting overlooking the Brèche de Roland – peaceful and serene. 20/04/2026: I highly recommend Domaine de Presle. We booked the entire estate for our wedding. The venue is truly magical: a charming little château in a lovely flower-filled courtyard, surrounded by a delightful park with a pond where you'll find ponies, goats, ducks, and ducklings. The château's bedrooms are very cute, the decor is exquisite, and the bridal suite is perfect for taking beautiful photos during the bride's preparations and for the wedding night. The other rooms outside the château were also a big hit with our guests, and we appreciated the convenience of being able to accommodate up to 70 people on-site. The reception hall is full of charm with its white stone walls and exposed beams. From a service perspective, we received exceptional support: we were given excellent advice on finding competent vendors, and the team welcomed us and managed the logistics with all the vendors involved in our wedding. They had a solution for every problem and were very accommodating. Getting married in the spring, with no guarantee of good weather, we had planned an indoor cocktail reception, but given the glorious sunshine, the team adapted and offered us an outdoor reception, decided that very morning. The Domaine's restaurant prepared a delicious meal for our guests, and the service was impeccable, always delivered with a smile and in a cheerful atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team at Domaine de Presle for contributing so much to making our wedding the moment we had dreamed of.

We received excellent service, the waiters were pleasant, the food was exquisite, and the setting was lovely (a small garden with an aviary and a well-maintained fish pond).
