This restaurant, nestled in the heart of the SNUC, is a real gem.
You can also organize parties there and enjoy the large terrace.

20/08/2025: First of all, it's not much, but a small ramekin of peanuts accompanies the appetizers.
It's not an extensive menu like in some restaurants; it's simple and good.
Good value for money.

28/12/2025: The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The service was very quick and excellent. The vegetarian pizza was absolutely delicious. The bottom of the crust got a little burnt during cooking, which left a slightly burnt taste, but that's a minor detail. Thank you for the warm welcome.

17/09/2024: The staff were really nice but our tuna and beef steaks were seriously underwhelming. The mashroom soup and desert were very nice though.

04/12/2024: Had WiFi issues at home and worked from this coffee shop for a couple of hours without any problem. Had an amazing salmon croque with salad and a nice mint tea.
03/12/2024: First of all I liked the setting, warm, comfortable, I feel good there. Then I liked the welcome, the smile, the simple and kind exchanges. Then I liked my salmon croque, fresh, with a "mesclun", seeds, and I loved the "Key lime pie", lemony and light. Finally, I really enjoyed my macchiato with the little cloud of milk foam, perfect. The price was light, and it became my base when I come down from my mountain in Montpellier.

01/12/2025: I'm leaving out the fifth star for the food, which I haven't had a chance to try yet, but the steak frites with mushroom sauce whetted my appetite this weekend.
I stuck to coffee and the PMU (betting shop), and it was really great.
These bars/brasseries/PMUs should be listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage!
Unfortunately, they tend to disappear in favor of cold, phony concepts. Strong support to the Café du Château.

Meal announcements are made at the table, without a menu.
Much has been written about the frog legs, and they simply remain unsurpassed!
The other great classic, the poussin, is also always excellent.
Something would be missing without Jean-Claude.
03/11/2025: Nothing has changed here in the last 40 years…and that's a good thing.
There's no room for pretension here; things are down-to-earth, which hasn't diminished the quality for decades.
Friendly service with a heart of gold. Frog legs and manure scraper, just the way they should be.

27/12/2025: It's always a pleasure to eat Papy Ly's cheese platters. We thoroughly enjoyed the cheese platter again (I love the 30-month Comté), the truffle ham, the candied orange peel, the oysters... Never disappointed. Happy New Year to the team!

07/08/2025: A warm welcome awaited me; I spent the night there. The facilities were clean and functional. The view of Menton was breathtaking – in short, a little slice of paradise. I highly recommend it, especially since the meal was so delicious! 😊

10/11/2025: It was good not long ago, but the service has deteriorated drastically. The worst part is that the owner chose this moment to be arrogant and dismissive, surely to amuse his friends who are replacing the former waitress, whom many people must miss.
