21/06/2026: If you're coming from Italy and looking for a restaurant just after the Fréjus tunnel, I highly recommend this one in Modane. A very warm welcome despite the late hour (1:45 pm), simple but delicious cuisine made with fresh, market-sourced ingredients (everything is homemade), and a family atmosphere, all at a very good price-quality ratio, are key points I noted and found very appealing. I'll definitely be back as soon as I can; keep up the good work!

09/06/2026: This hotel was recommended to us by two different friends so we were very excited to try it. We were completely underwhelmed, surprisingly. There appears to be two parts to the hotel and our room was in the part where you had to take the stairs to an elevator and then more stairs after you got off the elevator. The room is advertised as 29 square meters, or about 300 square feet but it is chopped up so much that it felt like 150 square feet. The decor was very dark and depressing , more reminiscent of a funeral parlor. The bathroom had been nicely updated but the shower was incredibly small, while there was a full bathtub - bad use of space, as the bathtub could have been a nice sized, normal shower. Had to sit sideways on the toilet, due to the angled walls. Breakfast was good, service was touchy depending upon the mood of the person working that day. I’m guessing our friends had different/better rooms, as I could never recommend this based on our experience.

30/04/2026: Beautiful boutique hotel in ideal location. Helpful attentive staff available 24hr. Rooms much larger than typical Paris hotels. Room feels very comfortable and historic. The restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast and our dinner was our best meal in Paris.

16/05/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! Without a doubt, the best cassoulet I've ever tasted. The welcome is exceptionally warm, with genuine attention paid to the customers. You immediately feel at ease in a warm and authentic atmosphere. A truly delightful experience of gastronomy and conviviality, just the way we like it. And ideally located near the "Aux Portes du Sidobre" bed and breakfast, where the welcome is equally attentive. An address to remember!

03/05/2026: Excellent meal at the Hôtel de France in Sainte-Orse! The €30 set menu was delicious from start to finish: homemade soup, gizzard tart, trout with almonds, cheeses, and a perfect strawberry cake. Everything was a delight, quality home cooking in a simple and authentic setting!

02/06/2026: Passing through Pornic, we had lunch at Le Grand Bleu on the recommendation of a local after being turned away from another restaurant at 1:35 pm. We arrived at 1:50 pm: Excellent: price, choice of dishes, quality, quantity, and homemade. Simple and friendly service. No complaints, and we highly recommend it.

23/03/2026: I stopped for lunch today. Absolutely nothing to complain about, very good. Simple and efficient. The meat was delicious. And what's more, excellent value for money, well done boss! 👌👌👌👌

27/06/2026: We went to the restaurant for lunch today without a reservation. We ordered the fish platter for two as a starter and found it very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient. We were able to sit in the shade on the terrace, and our dog was no problem at all.

03/07/2026: The crepes are delicious and the welcome very warm. Our first time at this creperie, and certainly not our last! See you next Saturday at lunchtime!

I hesitated to order a second one 😅 The super friendly waiter who puts your phone on charge because your battery is dead 👍 And who helps you choose your dish 👍 Perfect timing between the aperitif and the arrival of the dishes, who regularly changes the water bottle, even if it's not empty, so there's always fresh water 🧐🙏 We had a great time.
