10/05/2026: Unfortunately, there's not much positive to say about this establishment… very, very disappointed and very expensive for what's offered. The food: Two set menus are offered, one at €30 and the other at €50 for a starter, main course, and dessert. €5 less if you order a starter and main course or a main course and dessert. We chose the €30 menu and the €50 menu. The foie gras starter on the €50 menu was practically nonexistent: three tiny pieces barely vying for attention on the plate, and the quality was barely acceptable. The main course on the €50 menu, a beef Rossini, featured a mediocre cut of beef—tasteless, tough, and full of gristle. The foie gras on top was probably not foie gras. The side dishes were shameful in terms of quantity and lacked any special character. The €30 menu is unfortunately no better. You have to search for the cheese and potatoes in the starter, and the quality of the chicken in the main course is deplorable. We decided to order just one dessert, to savor every last bite and try to salvage the experience. The "café gourmand" (a selection of small pastries served with coffee) consisted of petit fours. We've never eaten anything so bad… it makes you wonder if the ingredients were even good anymore. The shortbread was definitely several days old and made with rancid butter. The atmosphere: Rather frosty when we were coldly informed that there was no children's menu and that "here, children eat like adults." At four years old, whether it's lemon chicken or beef Rossini, no, children don't eat that. And certainly not at the menu prices. They agreed to prepare half a plate of salmon crumble, which was simply placed on a plate, without sauce, without any flavor… It cost €10. From our perspective, children are not welcome. Nothing serious, but it needs to be said. In terms of comfort, many of the tables have a bar at shin level. This makes it impossible to pull up a chair and put your legs under the table. The owners may never have realized this, but it's a shame to eat in such an awkward position. Another minor drawback was the very noisy dining room. When it came time to pay, the bill was very expensive for what we received on our plates and the service. This was especially true when we were charged for a full menu when it was supposed to be a starter and main course. Unfortunately, we can't give this experience more than one star and will not be returning to this establishment. In response to the establishment's review: The response unfortunately demonstrates the establishment's lack of self-reflection. What is described above is factual. When something is good, you say so, and when it isn't, you say so too. Spending such a large sum in a restaurant only to have a bad experience is truly a shame and should be mentioned. We're not competitors, not even from the restaurant industry. However, we are bon vivants, good eaters, and appreciate fresh produce. Unfortunately, no one asked us how the meal went; we would have been happy to share our opinion with you in person.

12/05/2026: The setting is nice. Very welcoming. However, the food doesn't live up to the welcome and the ambiance. Admittedly, we opted for the €25 set menu, but it was barely acceptable. The starter and main course were uninteresting, the dessert was good. (Excellent wheelchair access)

04/03/2026: ​Great food and experience. The raclette was served with delicious sides, and the burgers were absolutely excellent with very creative combinations. The staff was helpful and assisted us in making the right choices. We highly recommend this place.

23/05/2026: Delicious meal! I had a pulled pork burger with homemade fries. Fast service, and even though the restaurant is quite small, it wasn't too noisy inside. 🙂 A lovely patio is available for sunny days.

22/05/2026: Two stars for the friendly staff. However, the food wasn't to our liking... A mediocre "Toulouse" sausage, served on a sauce with overcooked fries and a small salad. The bread was dry. In short, for 32 euros, two main courses and half a bottle of Badoit water... Well, the terrace was full, so there's something for everyone...

06/04/2026: Excellent boulangerie making breads and pastrie - really enjoyed torte de blettes with home made quality. Kind and friendly staff are attentive and fast. I have finally discovered my favourite boulangerie in Canges-sur-mer!

17/03/2026: We hired Mr. Jamais to create a tiered cake for our son's 20th birthday. He created a true masterpiece, as beautiful as it was delicious. All the guests were delighted. It was absolutely divine. The service at the pastry shop was excellent. Mr. Jamais is a very kind person. He was attentive, welcoming, and offered great advice. Everything was perfect. We highly recommend this establishment.

12/04/2026: A huge disappointment. I absolutely do not recommend this place. The salesperson promised a dream when we ordered the daily special (porcini mushroom ravioli with a slice of pan-seared foie gras and duck breast). In reality, the duck breast was nothing more than a smoked, reconstituted duck breast, and the pan-seared foie gras was bloody and unpresentable. The dish cost €31 and was nowhere near worth the price.

20/05/2026: A very good lunch with excellent value for money. The staff are very pleasant and the atmosphere is welcoming. Ideally located on a quiet square near the tower.

20/05/2026: Beautiful hotel, perfect location for exploring the city on foot. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The park-facing rooms are lovely and spacious with a terrace; be aware that the frogs' calls are quite impressive. High-quality linens, excellent bedding, a wide selection at breakfast with good quality products, and eggs cooked to order. The spa in the basement could be a little warmer, but it's pleasant with a hammam, sauna, and pool. Excellent treatments were provided. We were very satisfied with our stay.
