08/07/2026: A magnificent spot, especially for summer evenings. The view over the Bresse plain and the Beaujolais region opposite is breathtaking, with the added bonus of a stunning sunset. The cuisine is homemade and seasonal, with a limited menu, which clearly demonstrates that everything is prepared on-site from scratch. The building, a former school, has been tastefully renovated and retains the old-fashioned charm of the schools of our childhood. In short, nestled under the fairy lights and plane trees, this is an address not to be missed!

27/06/2026: Hello, we went to eat there for Father's Day. Disappointed. The Caesar salad with foie gras was almost liquid; it was certainly hot, but refrigerators exist, and they could have taken the foie gras out before serving. The tataki was very basic and without sauce. The main course, beef with vegetables, was good, but there were too few vegetables. The desserts were okay. I don't think we'll go back.

The children's menu is based on the regular menu. The service was quick, and the food arrived piping hot. The staff was friendly and courteous. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful. All this at a very reasonable price for a tourist area.

The food is first class (both vegetarian and meat-based dishes) as is the service which is unobtrusive but always attentive. Pound for pound or, more accurately, euro for euro, Racines punches above its weight. Thank you for a great experience.

My friend and I came and loved it: the couscous was delicious, and we also really enjoyed the orange salad with cinnamon and orange blossom, and the pine nut tea. All this in a very pretty setting, with very pleasant service; the waitress was lovely. We highly recommend it and we will be back!

Beautiful setting, lovely patio in good weather, a super welcome, and of course, consistently inventive cuisine featuring mostly seasonal and local produce. All this at an unbeatable price for the lunch menu.
