11/11/2025: Excellent restaurant. The food is superb and the atmosphere is pleasant. The owner is very friendly. The only downside is the long wait for service. The advantage is that you have time to digest between courses. You don't leave feeling heavy. I recommend it if you have the time.

29/06/2026: The staff were very unpleasant, especially the owner. He wouldn't let my friend have just a glass of water while the rest of the group was ordering very expensive drinks. He said that if she didn't order anything, she'd have to leave. This is incredibly disrespectful and a very inappropriate attitude towards customers.

29/06/2026: Last night, I was deeply shocked by a scene I witnessed at this establishment. From where I was sitting, my friends and I saw an absolutely shocking scene. We saw the manager perform what clearly appeared to be a Nazi salute toward a young Black woman while her back was turned. We were all speechless. Several other customers and servers also seemed to witness the scene, so palpable was the discomfort. Shortly after, I saw the manager bring her a drink. From a distance, I assumed it was lemonade. Later, after the young woman left the bar, I spoke with her. She explained that she felt extremely embarrassed and told me that the manager had tried to downplay the situation, claiming it was a "joke" and that "no one should imagine he shared those kinds of ideas." She also told me that he offered her a drink immediately afterward as a kind of compensation. I want to emphasize that I am speaking with her consent. Whether it was a supposed joke or not, a gesture associated with Nazi ideology, directed at a Black person, is far from innocuous. This symbol is inextricably linked to crimes against humanity and a history of racial hatred. To trivialize it or use it for laughs is deeply revolting and has no place in a public establishment. I did not feel safe in that establishment after witnessing such a scene. For my part, I will never set foot in that place again.

11/06/2026: The terrace is too crowded, the food isn't bad but far from great, but apart from the price it's acceptable. The terrace is noisy, which is to be expected given its location... however, the waiters are very unpleasant and haughty. There are better places just across the street, at Jean Bart, or L'Iguana, or formerly Café Dad... in short, I've been there three times, once for a drink, twice to eat... the waiters and waitresses need to come down a few floors. It's a shame, I won't be going back.

03/07/2026: Excellent traditional cuisine. Much of it is homemade. The daily specials are varied. Special mention goes to the vegetable omelet and the hamburger. The homemade fries are excellent, but most importantly, they very regularly offer vegetables to accompany the dishes – a big thank you for that! I highly recommend this place and its warm welcome.

12/04/2026: A tasting of three different champagnes is highly recommended. The staff are welcoming, and the overall experience—on a calm Friday in April—feels pleasantly intimate. It should be noted that the wines served here do not originate from the village itself, but from a champagne house a few kilometres away. Nevertheless, the Blanc de Blancs is delightful and certainly worth recommending.

30/06/2026: This is an excellent crêperie. Passing through Baud, looking for a restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by this little crêperie. The service is quick and efficient. And the crêpes are delicious. The cider is perfect and the bill isn't too steep. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area again.

29/06/2026: Came for lunch on our last day in the Bastides and couldn’t have wished for a better place. Yes, the view is amazing and we were sat right next to it, but the food was great, with nice wines and the staff were excellent. You can get good food in lots of places today and good wine is widely available. Its customer service and the attitude of the staff which mark places out. Le Jardin de Lys hit that spot really well!

21/06/2026: We had dinner at the winstub tonight and were very disappointed with the service. The waiter didn't crack a smile, and after ordering two cocktails, we asked for a carafe of water, which never arrived! The food wasn't anything special either! Very disappointed with this experience!

21/06/2026: Extremely noisy! The terrace isn't enclosed, offering a view of the city garden where men are urinating in full view! Not a very pleasant sight while you're having dinner. Perhaps it could be enclosed with screens to make it more private?
