16/06/2026: I'm not giving it 5 stars because perfection doesn't exist... but it was still a most enjoyable experience. Periwinkles, brown shrimp, langoustines, clams, and spider crab were all top-notch! The service was unpretentious, in true Cancale style, without being sloppy. Thank you.

15/05/2026: I'm a regular at this place, and I've never had a bad experience. The servers are great, the service is generally fast even when it's busy, and the atmosphere on special evenings is fantastic. But to my surprise today, I came to eat at 4 pm, and the restaurant was empty. There were only acquaintances or friends of the staff/owner. The meal was served quickly, but no one came to ask if we were alright. They walked right past us several times. I ordered dessert, and the people around us were being served while we waited. Finally, after 30 minutes, someone came to ask if we had received our desserts. I love this restaurant, and I can't give it a bad rating, but after all, that's what Google reviews are for, and I really think it's a shame to prioritize acquaintances over real customers who pay for their meals.

06/07/2026: It requires a lot of walking, starting from where you have to park your car, which is a shame for the food: I didn't taste it, so for the service and the atmosphere I can't give it a rating.

19/06/2026: We like the menu was in English and French. The server also spoke English. And the had gluten free options. The plates were simple for fill of flavors. We all ordered chicken, we had nachos and guacamole, and ice cream. They have a basement where it is cool when the fist floor is way hot.

08/06/2026: Good local cuisine, a shaded terrace, and a welcoming team, even for motorcyclists who arrived later than expected due to a mountain pass closure. I really enjoyed my Morteau sausage skewer with cancoillotte cheese and creamed potatoes!

07/06/2026: False advertising Refused service at 8:40 PM even though the message said we could come until 9 PM. Avoid at all costs. They shouldn't complain about struggling to make ends meet! P.S.: The cook is pleasant.

08/06/2026: We came to eat with friends for a birthday. Between a hair in one of our dishes and a burnt, totally inedible pizza, it was a bit of a letdown (they remade it, but we still had to wait ages while everyone else was almost finished...). It was cold anyway, so we had no choice but to eat. There was no compensation for this, no apology, just a waiter telling me, "Here's your dish now with twice as many hairs!" Luckily, the waitresses were able to spot it, lol! Otherwise, the atmosphere was great, even though we should have been in the smaller room next door as originally planned!

01/07/2026: The food was quite good for such a popular tourist spot. However, as is often the case, the awning needs to be replaced as it can't withstand even the slightest breeze. Customers can't be left in the blazing sun at lunchtime during service!

01/07/2026: A surreal experience at L'Armoric. While we were still comfortably seated at our table, finishing our dinner, we were firmly refused access to the restaurant's restrooms. The reason? The restaurant had just been cleaned. Priorities, you know! As a solution, the waitress "kindly" directed me to the men's restroom by the bar. The bar was, of course, packed on a French national team match night, already teeming with an army of women sent there for their "refreshment break." A truly awkward and logistical experience. The icing on the cake (or rather, the final nail in the coffin): seeing my astonishment, the waitress felt compelled to put things in perspective by pointing out that she finished at 2 a.m., and that I therefore had no right to complain. Dear Madam, I certainly don't mean to underestimate the difficulty of your job, but if cleaning the toilets excuses you from letting customers use them, perhaps you should consider changing your schedule... or even your career path. We pay for a full service, not to adapt our bladders to your end-of-service schedule! A word to the wise. P.S.: This doesn't detract from the friendliness of the very smiling staff (all the others) and the quality of the food.

11/06/2026: A wonderful discovery last night! A truly authentic bistro, just the way we like them, with its warm atmosphere, small checkered tablecloths, and simple, friendly charm. We enjoyed absolutely delicious bone marrow and suckling pig: flavorful and generous dishes. A place where you feel comfortable and want to return!

11/06/2026: This is a French restaurant that's supposedly impossible to get a reservation at. A friend of a friend made a reservation for us, and we went. They don't have a children's menu, but they're incredibly accommodating; if you tell them what you want to eat, they'll prepare it for you. The staff are friendly and kind, and they're incredibly attentive to children. The portions are huge; an appetizer, main course, and dessert will leave you absolutely stuffed. Even adding dessert to the main course is a struggle. Everything was delicious, and I ended up eating too much.

18/07/2026: Unfortunately, Le Grain de Sel lives up to its name... We had a pleasant time during the aperitif, but afterwards we felt forgotten. The wait between the aperitif and the arrival of the main courses was particularly long, with no real information provided. When our dishes finally arrived, some weren't very hot and the cooking wasn't up to our expectations. It's a shame, as it spoiled part of the experience.

18/07/2026: Just passing through for one evening, we checked the rating and reviews. It's a really lovely place, the staff is superb, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the value for money is incredible! Don't hesitate!

23/06/2026: If I could put less than 1 star for the service I would, the waitress took the order of 2 tables who came after us and didn’t even look at our side although we were waiting to order for more than 15mins so we just left. Don’t come there if you don’t want to be treated like badly if you’re not white.

21/06/2026: A wonderful evening at Vin & Marée, which I highly recommend. Cozy atmosphere, charming welcome. Special mention to Nina who served us with delicacy and professionalism 💜 The oysters were delicious, the mussels and fries were excellent, and the mango soup was exceptional. We will gladly return!

08/06/2026: Came here with my boyfriend for a date night in Colmar. Great food, pork cheek was melting in my mouth, and the cream of asparagus, I could drink a whole bowl! Old man serving us was very polite and friendly, he recommended a great golden Gewurtztraminer wine! Service was a bit slow, that’s the only thing I’ll say!

03/06/2026: The Michelin Green Guide recommended this establishment, and the menu looked quite tempting, so I headed to Maison Rouge for dinner (it's best to book, especially during peak season). The salmon was delicious, accompanied by a sauce that perfectly complemented it. The wine, a Gamay, recommended by a smiling and humorous woman, was also an excellent choice. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and the time I spent in this restaurant, despite the heatwave.
