I don’t want to place a bad review on insta or google because you’re just started. But I want to help and give some advise. The service was top and helpfull. Food; croque monsieur; cheese not totally melted and way too much for appitizer , bread with tomato no taste at all. The tamatos nor dressing. Meat cold, rare and sent back to the kitchen. Same piece back on table,better cooked but average quality . Drinks; 4 of the 5 request wines were not available. No problem but hand over the menu with the wines you do have. 02/07/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ I didn't even get a chance to set foot in the place, the experience was so disastrous… over the phone. I called to reserve a table to watch Saturday's match with friends. From the start of the call, I was polite and courteous: hello, how are you, etc. In return, I was greeted with a cold and unpleasant tone. I simply asked if, with our reservation, it would be possible to be seated in front of the screen. I was then asked if we were going to eat there. I honestly replied that I couldn't guarantee it yet, as I didn't want to promise something I wasn't sure about. Immediately, I was told that the reservation would be canceled, on the pretext that all the customers had to have dinner. When I explained that it wasn't a problem and that we could certainly eat in, the person remained extremely curt, interrupted me several times, and ultimately canceled the reservation anyway, saying they already had many tables booked. I remained calm and respectful throughout the conversation, but received no courtesy in return. It wasn't so much the cancellation itself that bothered me, but rather the way I was treated. A little politeness and respect towards potential customers costs nothing.

30/06/2026: I went for lunch with my son yesterday on a friend's recommendation. Their lunch menu was perfect. Excellent meat cooked to order. We also really enjoyed the pineapple carpaccio with vanilla ice cream. It has the atmosphere of a true Parisian bistro, which is becoming increasingly rare. Very good service. We'll be back.

29/06/2026: Amazing meal, one of the best bourguignons I’ve ever eaten. Loved the cheese chariot too and the waiters were so friendly!

26/06/2026: The waiters were very friendly and even taught us how to pronounce the French names of the dishes. The food was also delicious.

31/03/2026: Everything was perfect from the food to the service and from the starter to the dessert, and what can I say about the price? 22 euros for a homemade menu is unbeatable, we will certainly return...a good place for lunch.

30/06/2026: A very nice little inn. The owner is very friendly. I didn't see the chef, but dinner was very good. It's a shame there were no pizzas that evening. The rooms are a bit dated, but perfect for an overnight stay. Overall, I recommend this little inn. I will definitely stop by again if I'm ever in the area. Looking forward to it!

26/06/2026: I come here from time to time, but I have to say I was disappointed with lunch...usually the menu board offers two choices for starters, main courses, and desserts, but this time there were no choices! The portions were much smaller than usual (has there been a change of ownership?) but it was still very good nonetheless, thankfully.... My friends ordered the vegetarian plate, and there was practically nothing on it! They were disappointed too.

01/07/2026: I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but I was very disappointed with the quality of the restaurant. The prices are excessive for dishes that are far too salty and not very flavorful. There's no vegetarian option on the menu, and you get the feeling you practically have to negotiate to get a special dish and explain that, no, vegetarians don't eat fish either. €66 for two people, including an aperitif and a main course (plus an unsolicited amuse-bouche that was barely touched). The quality of the food is really questionable. However, a special mention to the waitress who does her best to cope with the pressure from rude customers and the kitchen (you're great and I wish you all the best! 🫶🏻)

30/03/2026: We're so glad we ignored the negative reviews before booking. We spent four nights there exploring the surrounding area. The initial welcome was a little cold, but within ten minutes, we were in good spirits. The rooms aren't huge, but they were perfectly adequate. Our dog was very welcome (at no extra charge). And the restaurant... We don't usually eat at the hotel every night to try out the local restaurants, but we enjoyed excellent food there all four evenings. Very reasonable prices. Excellent and friendly service. With a few degrees warmer, it would have been lovely to be able to enjoy the terrace. So, no regrets about this booking. We'd gladly return with friends.

11/06/2026: A very pleasant stay at this establishment almost a year ago (2025). The room was lovely with a river view, the welcome was excellent, and the food was 10/10, all homemade. The quiche was excellent, the slice of grilled ham was delicious, the desserts were pretty and tasty, and the breakfast buffet was great. I highly recommend this establishment in Haybes-sur-Meuse. If you love nature, you'll fall under the spell of Haybes-sur-Meuse.
