22/05/2026: Based on the photos, we were expecting a less dated interior. But anyway, that's not the most important thing. The service was absolutely impeccable, professional, perfect. However, the problems started: We arrived at 7:30 pm at 3 pm. There were two tables for two, one of which had already had its appetizers finished. We ordered cocktails. And then: foie gras! The menu listed foie gras, side dishes, etc. It was PAN-SEARED foie gras, and this wasn't mentioned at all!!! We don't particularly like it, so it was a huge disappointment. THIS SHOULD BE INDICATED! And then what? In total, we had an aperitif and a starter in 2 hours. The small restaurant filled up. They served starters to everyone. And we didn't get our main course until 9:30 PM. TWO HOURS for the main course! Not exceptional, okay, in short, nothing special. Dessert: cheese, obviously that goes quickly. So, 7:30 PM / 10:20 PM, almost 3 hours, that's way too long. If you come with children, even 8 or 9 years old, for Grandma's birthday, it would be hell. So, for us, disappointed, LOOOOOOONG, and in the end, meh. For €220 for 3 people, no thanks.

03/07/2026: Exorbitant prices for mediocre quality. At this price, you'd expect good service, but there wasn't any. The tables and benches were filthy. A panini for €4.80 with three measly pieces of chicken. A small bottle of Volvic strawberry water for €2.80.

10/07/2026: Imagine… It’s noon… it’s 38°C… Steeve seats me at a table on the terrace… and starts by telling me the story of the place and its owner… Fascinating! My mouth is already watering. The dish of the day? Beef bourguignon? Uh, it’s a heatwave… Not even scared! From the very first bite, I melt like the meat melts in my mouth. It’s simply DIVINE. A special mention for Steeve, who knows how to pique your curiosity and offers a sincere, professional, and incredibly kind welcome. Don’t change a thing! It suits you so well! PS: I almost licked my plate clean (see photo)

15/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! This restaurant is charming. The dining room is small, lovely, and the dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money with a set menu at €24.50. The welcome and service were top-notch. The waiter was very pleasant and smiling. Highly recommended!

26/02/2026: I ordered a Caesar salad, and the dressing came in a tiny pot that didn't even cover half the salad. The chicken was at least three days old and very tough, the croutons were soggy and half-baked, and they forgot the drink… too expensive and not good… I don't recommend it.

28/04/2026: Rather disappointed for a 4-star hotel ✨. My mother, who used to come here regularly, noticed a real change. Upon arrival, there was no restaurant, even though after a long journey we just wanted to shower, relax, and have a quiet meal at the hotel. We had to go out again to get food. No Wi-Fi, no pool table... When we arrived in the room, there was only a sliver of toilet paper and three tissues. As for the service, there was very little empathy from the reception staff. At breakfast, there weren't enough plates; all the guests complained, and we had to use bowls because no one came to help. It's a shame they reheated the crepes, which were more like potato chips, and the pancakes, which were hard around the edges. This needs improvement for a 4-star hotel.

01/07/2026: The waiter was quite rude. Asking me whether I was going to lunch or not (at 11 in the morning, I know it's France but omg, at 11 a.m). What bothered me was how harshly he said it. Then he gave me the wrong change and kept part of it. I found it so pathetic that I didn't say anything. Honestly, wouldn't go back. The coffee was average, and the views are nothing special...

24/06/2026: Beautiful café with retro-inspired decor. Inside, the lighting is dim and the music is just the right volume; outside, numerous tables are a bit too close together. The service is absolutely courteous and friendly, but a bit slow. Overall, a lovely historic place to visit and sit down. I prefer the inside.

06/06/2026: Since I was 10 years old, I've always ordered from Au Moment Gourmand. The owner is friendly, and the quality of the food is excellent—paninis, hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, cakes, and more... the prices are quite low, and the pizzas are amazing! I order every week 🤣 because we love them so much—they're the best in Château, in my opinion.
