18/07/2026: A gorgeous Saturday late lunch after an energetic morning exploring all the vintage fashion shops in the area. Very welcoming waiter (from Greece, not Paris). The food was outstanding, especially the grilled beef marrow which was to die for, followed by super-tender Beef Bourginon and a large vol au vent of Ris de Veau and then a proper Tarte Tartine for desert. The outside tables are on a busy narrow pedestrian pavement but that just adds to the vibe. Excellent.

15/07/2026: We chose La Bourgogne for our very first dinner in Paris, and its location on the beautiful Place des Vosges made it a wonderful place to begin out trip as we were staying in le marais. As visitors with very limited French, we were a little nervous, but the maître d' and servers were kind, welcoming, and patient, making us feel comfortable right away. The atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for...warm, classic, we sat outside with a view of the park. We especially enjoyed the wine selection and quality, and ordered one of the chef specials for our first course, both were excellent. My partner ordered the steak au poivre and it was cooked beautifully. I ordered the faux filet with bearnaise, but unfortunately my steak was significantly overcooked, charred on the outside and quite dry. One note for fellow steak lovers: we were not asked how we would like our steaks cooked and we generally trust the chef's judgement and would never volunteer a preferred doneness unless asked. For that reason I was quite surprised when it arrived well beyond medium, It may have been a simple off night, but it was the one part of an otherwise pleasent evening that was a bit disappointing. With my limited French, I wasn't comfortable asking to send it back, so I simply ate it. Overall it was a pleasent evening and we appreciated the restaurant's historic setting and Burgandy inspired menu. That said in a neighborhood with so many exceptional little bistros, this meal didn't quite become the memorable dining experience we had hoped for. I would still recommend it for it's location, atmosphere, and welcoming service.

10/03/2026: The establishment, although small, offers a dining room, two alcoves, and a small terrace; the daily menu is elaborate and generous, at reasonable prices; the cuisine: sophisticated and easy to digest, prepared with expertise (for connoisseurs: a platter of fine cheeses, offering a beautiful variety and quality). The decor is pleasant and original; the service: uniformed, jovial, convivial, and efficient; the furniture (banquettes) is comfortable.

09/05/2026: Huge disappointment. The price is outrageous considering the lack of flavor. The steak tartare becomes sickening after the third bite… The toilets are disgusting 🤢 In short, far too expensive for what it is! Only the friendliness of the staff redeems the experience.

18/07/2026: We came for dinner on a Friday evening as a couple. The evening began very pleasantly with an aperitif that lived up to our expectations. The view is beautiful, and the overall ambiance and setting are truly delightful! However, we were disappointed by the service and the meal as a whole. Firstly, the menus differed between the online menu and the menu in the restaurant. Specifically, the foie gras was extremely sinewy and very bland, and the chocolate mousse was runny and warm. The service was disorganized, with a very long wait (25 minutes for the bill, which we asked for three times, with staff present but chatting amongst themselves, plus coffee served after the bill was paid), and poorly organized for the restaurant's stated positioning. There was a musician playing, but the volume made conversation impossible at the table (a shame). In the end, despite a high-quality salmon gravlax and beef fillet, we left disappointed and without any desire to return.

21/07/2026: The car with flowers next to the restaurant adds a romantic and touristy touch. The place is spacious, clean, and welcoming. The waiters speak several languages. The chairs with heart-shaped backs are a nice touch at the sidewalk tables. The food was good, and the house wine was delicious. The food was good overall… for us, the best thing was the onion soup 🧅

21/07/2026: Café Fleurus was an excellent choice for a pleasant evening in Paris. We went to share some beers with friends and had a delicious pizza with the traditional French onion soup; everything was great, and the atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely chat. At night, the restaurant has a very bohemian and cozy vibe, with beautiful decor that adds a lot of charm. Paying with the Sunday app was also very convenient: we were able to split the bill and pay quickly and easily, without any hassle. I highly recommend it for a casual dinner with friends, drinks, and enjoying a pleasant Parisian atmosphere.

26/06/2026: The inn reopened on June 15th with new management. Two experienced young people are now at the helm. We came for lunch on the terrace one Wednesday and returned on Sunday with friends for coffee. Once comfortably seated, we continued with a mixed platter and drinks. A very good place; it's a real pleasure to see a local. Best of luck and see you soon.

19/06/2026: Opened 15 june visited 18 june 2026. New gérants.. Young couple. Efficient. Pleasant atmosphere. Tables attractive. Even canapés outside on shady side. Menu du Jour simple but good. Small a la carte which includes foie gras. Prices generally normal. Worth a visit.
