25/06/2026: It really wasn't to my liking... because when I went there were many foreign homeless people, the establishment was unclean and the service was very slow, and for all these reasons I left the place.

24/06/2026: Boulangerie Pâtisserie Dardonville is exactly the kind of small French bakery that makes Fontainebleau feel quietly special. It is not flashy or over-designed, but the quality comes through in the basics: good bread, proper viennoiserie, and pastries that feel classic rather than gimmicky. The croissant and pain au chocolat are the obvious starting points — flaky, buttery, light, and very easy to eat with a coffee before walking around town or heading to the château. What stood out to me is that Dardonville feels like a real neighbourhood bakery rather than a tourist stop. The baguettes are well regarded, but the sweeter items are worth looking at too, especially the tarte aux poires, éclairs, macarons, and canelés. It is the sort of place where you can buy one thing, then immediately regret not buying two or three more. Simple, affordable, very French, and a strong Fontainebleau stop if you like bakeries more than generic cafés.

15/05/2026: We booked this guesthouse during our Canal du Midi cycling trip. We received a very warm welcome and a friendly, family atmosphere. Our e-bikes were safely stored and recharged. A luxurious room with a sitting area and a spa bath! It's a shame we only stayed one night.

19/07/2026: I've been to this restaurant a couple of times and it's always met our expectations. This Thursday, I had a reservation for two, and at 9:30 pm we were told the restaurant was closing. The windows and shutters were closed, and the bill was brought to us. For an evening out with friends, being told to close at 9:30 pm... it's a bit surprising and not very pleasant... a restaurant closing at that hour, I've never seen that before. You should write it on the door so customers aren't surprised...

06/07/2026: Upon arrival, the waitress, clearly wanting to limit the number of customers, told us they had space and we could sit down. However, she wouldn't take any orders, not even a glass of water to tide us over for 25 minutes. Unheard of! She must have been trying to scare away customers to finish earlier. Well done, she succeeded.

The waiter was unpleasant, the frogs' legs were burnt, and the chocolate mousse in the deep fryer came in a pre-packaged bag. Pathetic! Organizing a frogs' leg party for 200 people requires professionalism, and this place clearly isn't. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

05/07/2026: Delicious pizza! I don't understand how anyone could criticize the quality. Yes, the crust is very thin, but that makes it easier to digest—a lighter pizza! And the toppings are generous. The service is friendly, and the ice cream is very good for a very reasonable price. You should go and enjoy this little village bar/restaurant.

26/04/2026: Seeing the 4 stars, I was tempted. Unfortunately, you shouldn't trust all the reviews… The mussels with Roquefort sauce were way overcooked, with no Roquefort flavor (definitely a store-bought sauce), and the fries were good at first but sickening by the second. Otherwise, the view is better than the food.

25/03/2026: Friendly service, excellent crepes and galettes!!! The galette with goat cheese and sausage with caramelized onions was a real treat.
