21/01/2026: Excellent bakery, friendly service. The pastries and viennoiseries are excellent (King Cake, Easter pastries). The only downside is the limited selection of takeaway items. The wraps are presented in a way that makes them look full, but they are practically empty and dry.

04/07/2026: This will go down as the most disappointing dining experiences I have ever had. Quite literally every detail was sub par. Walking in to the restaurant felt like walking in to a poorly decorated cafeteria. Our IKEA styled vaneer table wobbled. It took 40 minutes to get out first drink (there were only 12 people in the restaurant). The waiter had no apologies for the tardy service and in fact actually said it was normal. We were having a 7 course set menu. After two and a half hours we had eaten three underwhelming courses (the fourth was bread). Then we left, paying the full price for the 7 courses. They tried to make the food look pretty by putting a lot of flowers and decorations on the dishes but failed to make the actual flavours special. I could overlook the hideous restaurant styling (and the broken toilet). I could even slightly overlook the slow service (albeit still frustrating for a two Michelin star restaurant) but I can’t overlook underwhelming food. Please don’t think putting flowers on something bland and creamy is going to be enough.

25/05/2026: We deliberately avoided tourist hotspots in Alsace, seeking something authentic. A place with genuine Alsatian atmosphere, nature, tranquility, and honest cuisine. We discovered the Auberge Lindenhof in Hohwald through ChatGPT—and it was an absolute stroke of luck. We planned our bike tour specifically to include a stop there and were thrilled to even get a table. Almost exclusively locals—that says it all. The food was outstanding. Add to that the special atmosphere amidst nature: pure idyll. It was also wonderful to see the joy and warmth with which the owner and the entire team work. You can immediately sense the passion they have for this place. For us, it was a truly special break on a beautiful bike tour in a stunning region. Thank you for this experience.

24/05/2026: The surprise: chance and hunger led us to this roadside restaurant! What a wonderful surprise! Despite the late hour and without a reservation, the chef agreed to welcome us and cook for us! The ingredients were incredibly fresh, cooked with so much love. My husband even recommended a second dessert! The wife was in the kitchen, the husband in the dining room: a truly delightful character. You chat with him like an old friend! And if you love coffee, we made an unexpected discovery: the opportunity to taste one of the most expensive coffees in the world at an unbelievable price compared to other establishments!!! Shhh, I won't tell you any more; just ask the husband, he'll tell you all about the "BLUE MOUNTAIN"... Thank you so much for this timeless experience, and be sure to book before you come! 07/05/2026: A country restaurant just the way we like them. A set menu (main course and dessert) for €15, featuring only local ingredients, beautifully presented dishes. An excellent artisanal andouillette sausage, superb farm-fresh fromage blanc! A very good, unpretentious restaurant, simple, with fresh, local produce.

14/07/2026: I went here and asked the server if it was happy hour. He said yes they have happy hour and pointed at the menu and we ordered off of it. We then tried to order from what seemed the manager or owner and he said it wasn’t happy hour today. He wasn’t willing to correct it or talk to the server about the confusion. He was hysterical and not happy with us after trying to explain our miss service.

28/05/2026: Neither the setting nor the food justifies the prices: €72.00 per person, plus the €12.00 surcharge not mentioned when ordering. It is indeed listed on the menu, but in tiny print, of course! The portions are stingy considering the prices! As for the decor, it's untidy. We were crammed into a corner of the room surrounded by a large pile of boxes, while the same table next to us remained empty! The overall experience left us with a very unpleasant feeling of disappointment and overcharging.

12/07/2026: The service left much to be desired… The elderly, bald man with glasses was clearly jaded with his job; he was incredibly unpleasant. When I went to pay, I approached the register, and my waiter saw me and yelled at me, saying he thought I'd left without paying. When I replied that I'd come precisely to pay, he retorted aggressively that I should have stayed at the table to pay. In short, the food was very good, but I won't be back.

12/07/2026: This was our second visit in four years. The menu had completely changed, notably with some very suggestive wordplay, but without being heavy-handed—it was really well done! The food is more than delicious, never disappointed! Great atmosphere with all the servers, and a big shout-out to Martin, who is a fantastic server!!!

14/07/2026: French version below. : I arrived 2 hours before departure, yet still couldn’t reach the boat because the entire area around the Eiffel Tower was blocked by police barriers for Bastille Day. Every time I got close, I was told to walk all the way around again. I ended up walking 10.7 miles (17.2 km) just trying to reach the boarding point and now have severe leg pain. The company provided no meaningful guidance despite knowing the security restrictions. I repeatedly called and messaged them, shared my live location, and even sent videos showing the blocked routes. They simply kept replying, “You can get through,” without explaining how. After I sent the videos, they stopped answering my calls. There were no company representatives at any of the police barriers to assist confused customers or direct people to the correct access route. I’ve attached a map showing the security perimeter I encountered and the long detour I was forced to take. This completely ruined what should have been one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. Save yourself the stress, disappointment, and wasted money; book with another company. I arrived two hours before departure, but I still couldn't reach the boat because the entire area around the Eiffel Tower was blocked off by police barricades for Bastille Day. 05/07/2026: Best sauerkraut I've ever had in a restaurant, according to my sweetheart! Cooked exactly as I requested, impeccable service, and sumptuous decor in a historic, tree-lined square... all for a very reasonable price. A sure bet in Clermont-Ferrand. 😊😊

04/07/2026: The decor was quite nice, we were well received, the aperitifs arrived quickly, the order for the dishes was taken quickly too, just the downside was the wait for the dishes…about 40 minutes, you shouldn't be in a hurry.
