16/11/2025: We arrived twice right after opening, at 2:45 PM for a 3:00 PM opening. Both times we were told to expect a wait of over an hour, even though reservations aren't possible. The staff was quickly overwhelmed and almost rude. So both times we ended up going across the street to the laser tag arena.

15/01/2026: Although the food was good, none of the wines by the glass were decent. In fact, they tasted terribly bad. We tried all the reds and one white. It’s amazing that this is possible at a restaurant that is located in an excellent wine region. The wines by the bottle are priced too high to easily switch to one of those (of which I now also doubt of their quality). In conclusion: Not one of my recommendations

07/11/2025: An inn...so, food and sleep! We had a wonderful night, and the soup was just like home...so delicious! Very friendly staff.

22/12/2025: I agree with all the positive reviews. HOWEVER, on a weekday, we arrived at 12:20 PM: 1. Of the two daily specials, only one remained, namely white pudding. The guinea fowl had been replaced with pork stir-fry. 2. The crumble for dessert was gone! Fortunately, the other dishes were very good. 3. Finally, the bill did not match the menu we were served. Thank you for the warm welcome and service. We stop at roadside and workers' restaurants, so we can make objective comparisons.

20/12/2025: We were disappointed by the seafood gratin, which was very difficult to digest; the sauce was thick and strange (pre-packaged?). The buffet was certainly well-stocked but lacked flavor. The red fruit dessert was odd and tasteless. The menu was inexpensive but left a bad impression and didn't encourage us to return!

10/09/2025: We came across it by chance, excellent quality food, excellent ham in apple cider, excellent potatoes with cheese, good beer, excellent cheese selection, they even bring you a cheese board with cheeses on it and the price is excellent, excellent service, locals eat there, non-touristy environment, highly recommended, we will return

08/02/2026: The hotel parking is a great advantage. However, our room faced the road, so we could hear the cars all night and had to leave the TV on to try and get a decent night's sleep. The breakfast price is very high for a basic meal; next time, it's better to go to the bakery, which is three times cheaper and has a much wider selection. The staff was friendly.

03/02/2026: The hotel is very well located with attentive staff. I needed a double bed, but my reservation specified two single beds; the receptionist resolved the issue in minutes by offering me an upgrade. The room was spotless and the service was very personal. 30/01/2025: The old Lille institution pubstore is a real journey through time, as much for its decor as for the music or the play on words that name the dishes (I love it)!!! The cuisine is tasty, based on fresh, quality products, we had a great time 😋. The only downside was that the waitress was particularly unpleasant and apparently annoyed at serving our group on this weekday evening when the restaurant was almost empty… She gets the bill wrong and angrily asks us: we're going to have to pay the difference!! It’s completely normal, but there are ways to say it, especially when the mistake is on your part… I still recommend the establishment, but the service is part of the service, pay attention 😉
