11/01/2026: I had booked two nights at this hotel, but I was unable to keep my reservation due to the cancellation of all trains (Storm Goretti). Despite this unforeseen circumstance, the hotel refused any free or reduced-fee cancellation and charged me for the entire stay, completely oblivious to the reality (that everyone was unable to come!). I find this customer service deplorable, hence this review… It's a shame, the hotel looked nice, but the service was lacking.

30/12/2025: A simple dinner; excellent products, suppliers, and a variety of dishes. I highly recommend it.

15/01/2026: Beef cheek dish: 3 small potatoes and a carrot with shredded beef cheek. For €26 per person, I expected a more substantial portion. Deconstructed lemon tart: really not much on the plate and €9. Have a good day.

For dessert, don't miss the French toast-style brioche—it's to die for! Unpretentious, yet with the professional touch of a good baker, you'll have a great time, even if the bill isn't too steep!

02/02/2026: I discovered Guinness in Irish pubs near Parisian universities. They knew how to pour a proper Guinness. At the Galways, which is Galways in name only, this is the second and last time I'll ever set foot in. Every single bubble is poured vertically (unbelievable!), and to pay by card, I ordered a charcuterie board with the plastic separating the slices of cured ham. Unbelievable. I never waste my time leaving reviews, but I had no choice this time. Avoid this place if you want to drink Guinness and enjoy a decent charcuterie board. Go to 420 Franck Lainé instead.

26/12/2025: Twelve euros… very good, generous portions, quick. Where else can you find that? Friendly chef, waiter, and owner. We'll be back! Just passing through from the Ardèche region…

18/01/2026: We went there for lunch today, somewhat by chance. Two very good calzone pizzas, generously topped with excellent crust. Very family-friendly atmosphere and extremely nice service. I recommend it.

05/02/2026: I regularly come for a cappuccino and I am always very well received by the staff. Professionalism, efficiency and a smile.

04/02/2026: The staff were very friendly and spoke fluent English. They provided a separate English menu. The food was overall very fresh, clean, and delicious.

08/02/2026: Things have changed. The welcome is icy; the only people interested in the place are tourists eating at tables of 30-40. Let's hope it lasts! The coffee was good.

04/02/2026: The service is catastrophic; I ask for a glass of water to go with my coffee, and I am publicly reprimanded by the waiter (who believes I should have asked him beforehand?).

27/01/2026: my experience at jy’s was very disappointing, to say the least. let me start by saying that this was my introduction to french fine dining, so there may be a knowledge gap here. the food was cooked with precision and technique, and was all plated beautifully. unfortunately though, each dish lacked one major component: salt! i found most of the dishes to be extraordinarily bland, and i can say it was my first time that i simply couldn’t finish some of the dishes in a michelin starred meal. my least favorites were the scallop course and the chicken course, both were extremely bland. although, salt could be found in the broth served with the scallop, but it was way too much! it was almost like salt water. another bite that i couldn’t finish was the chef’s interpretation of a salad during the amuse bouche. i found it to have an unpleasant, slimy texture and a bitter taste. any vegetables served with the courses were just simply steamed, and still lacked and seasoning. i can safely say that each course could’ve been saved if it was all just seasoned better. the highlight of the meal for me was dessert, wonderfully plated and delightful flavors. in the end still, i can only say that i regret my experience at jy’s. while the service was helpful, the ambiance was nice, and each dish definitely proved technique and precision, the lack of flavor more or less completely ruined the meal for me.

28/12/2025: An experience not to be missed due to the dedication from the service team and culinary execution by the chefs. From the aperitif to the dessert, familiar flavors yet coming together refreshing and pleasantly surprising. This fine establishment accommodated our child with kindness and graciousness which is rare in fine dining. Very thankful to the chef and his team who are prepared to accommodate my child so that my wife and I can enjoy this experience.
