09/12/2025: How to share our experience? It's complicated for a supposedly "premium" establishment. To begin with, parking access is reserved based on the price of your car... That's already a bad start. The place could use a refresh and a cleaning. There were clearly visible cobwebs on the knick-knacks. The service is subpar, certainly not what you'd expect from a supposedly premium establishment that offers Petrus, for example. We waited an hour between the appetizer and the main course. As for the food, it's nothing to write home about. This establishment is vastly overrated. The service also seems to differ between regulars and walk-ins. In the end, there's nothing particularly interesting about this restaurant unless you want a splitting headache after your meal from the noise. Not to mention the waiters arguing amongst themselves in front of the customers...

08/12/2025: I wanted to reserve a table at La Maison, but the welcome I received was very disappointing. The person on the phone was so unfriendly that it made me hesitate to come. A little courtesy would have been appreciated, especially for a first contact. It's a shame, because it gives a bad impression of the restaurant before you even set foot inside.

20/11/2025: By the grace of heaven and the nobility of my mission, I rode swiftly to Saint-Hilaire-de-Briouze, seeking sustenance for my valiant body and loyal spirit, for I was bound to serve His Majesty with vigor and promptness. My steed, a noble and faithful companion, panted with the strain of the journey, and I halted at a place called La Pommeraie, demanding to be served a meal without delay, for my duty called. From the moment I entered the hall, I demanded the largest portion available, for a knight on a mission for the king could not be satisfied with a meager ration. The lady of the house, with her firm and decisive manner, presented the dishes to me diligently. I was first astonished by the plates, as clear as the water of Norman streams: never in all my travels had I seen such a miracle, and my knightly eye lingered upon them, convinced they were made of enchanting crystal. The beverage that accompanied my feast was so exquisite that, seized by ardor and boldness, I offered to buy the entire cask for my long rides across the kingdom. But the lady, wise and tenacious, refused to yield to my gold coins, thus preserving the secret of her culinary art for future generations. Each bite, each sip, was a source of delight and invigoration for me. The cooking of the meats, the aroma of the herbs, and the care lavished on each dish testified to a mastery worthy of the finest kitchens in the kingdom, comparable to the banquets served at the court of Philip Augustus and the feasts of the city of Rouen. I left La Pommeraie with a full heart and a joyful soul, vowing to myself that I would speak of this establishment to His Majesty and to all the lords of the Court, so that the lady might be honored and, perhaps, called upon to serve at the castle, so perfect is her art and so worthy is her hospitality of a noble knight.

26/01/2026: I'm sorry, but as a long-time customer, I've noticed a clear decline in quality at your establishment. Recently, your staff were unable to serve dark chocolates upon request, even though this was previously possible. The response given was: -Not available! -Not possible! Or go to the Capitole! What a shame. But I'm ready to return, hoping for a likely improvement. Sincerely… A response has been provided. I am revising my rating to 5 stars. Thank you.

10/01/2026: Very disappointed. Having been a regular customer of the shop's exquisite flans, I just ate a raw flan with a runny filling... The slice was smaller than before, and the price... obviously higher. €4.00 for a runny slice of flan... I won't be going back.

Insider tip: Gourmet Cafe for dessert—a small selection of desserts on a plate with coffee ;) Perfect!!

10/02/2026: My wife and I tried one of the best waffles ever, it was fresh, very soft, and the chocolate tasted amazing.. on top of that the lady serving the waffles was so kind and sweet.. and made our experience even better, wish them all the best!

31/12/2025: Kids loved their waffles and it tasted as good as one in Belgium! Service could be better - the server didn’t seem happy - and they didn’t seem to open till noon.

27/11/2025: I paid €10.50 extra for my latte. I ordered a large latte, which is €7, a price I already find outrageous, but so far so good. Then I realized there was more foam than milk and more milk than coffee—in short, no flavor, and my cup was practically empty for a large latte. I went back and asked for more coffee because there wasn't any! And they charged me an extra €3.50 for it! Unbelievable! No attempt at compensation whatsoever. In another coffee shop, they would have done it again! And I wouldn't have had to pay! I'm a regular at coffee shops, and personally, I find it shameful to ignore such a request without charging the customer extra! I don't recommend it.

10/10/2025: The pizza dough was too hard. We couldn't even cut it with a knife; we had to tear off small pieces by hand. Gloomy terrace. The lighting was too bright and white, and the decor was lacking. It's important to create a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to come in. Very friendly service from one of the three sisters who own the restaurant.

08/10/2025: Great food in this restaurant in the small village of Biot, in the 06 region. Authentic, generous cuisine. Really good value for money. Friendly service. Two-star atmosphere, as it's the end of the season... Not too crowded.

01/01/2026: This is our third time at this brasserie, and we were very disappointed. The ribeye steak was inedible; the meat was gamey—the smell and taste were off. The waitress should have taken it back to the chef so he could at least taste or smell it. Her response was quite arrogant. As former restaurant owners, we didn't want to push the issue. We understand that mistakes happen, but we should at least verify the customer's claims.

19/09/2025: Lunch menu of the day for only 16 euros!! Salad with volants, choice of 5 main courses, and 5 desserts. Lots of drivers inside, so fast service.
