10/06/2026: What a delightful experience. Our host was so welcoming. The dauphinois was superb and the mousse au chocolat the best I've had to date. We'll be back.

29/04/2026: The best ribeye steak in Paris. And that's saying something, after having tried a great many! The owner is super friendly, the food is delicious, the service is fast...in short, nothing to complain about. And the prices are unbeatable!

20/04/2026: We were drawn in by the quaint atmosphere and the friendly staff. Unfortunately, I can't rate the food as highly; it was truly subpar. Not recommended.

20/04/2026: Sexually harassed by the cook. Not only is it overpriced and average at best, but as we left the restaurant the greasy cook felt the urge to shout sexually explicit nonsense at the women in our group, while the rest of the male staff (all of them smoking) did absolutely nothing. STAY AWAY

02/07/2026: This is paradise if you're a meat lover. The buffet has tons of options: beef, poultry, cold cuts, terrines, pork, wild game. Anything you want. Same for the kids. Service is ok. The atmosphere is not amazing cause it feels a bit shabby and dated

17/05/2026: We came to this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday evening. The setting is very pleasant and welcoming. However, we opted for the €42 set menu, which included a starter, main course, cheese, and dessert, all served in a mere 1 hour and 15 minutes, including an aperitif. The main course was very generous, but the presentation needs improvement (the potato was wrapped in rather rough foil, and the cheese was cut on a completely unsuitable platter). The chocolate fondant wasn't really a fondant at all, but rather a very hard chocolate tart that was difficult to cut.

24/05/2026: Warning: the crooked-faced waiter helps himself to the tips from the larger tables. Tipping isn't mandatory in France, especially when the service is poor. If it weren't for the location, this café would be deserted...

19/05/2026: A small restaurant on Place de la Sorbonne. The tables are clean, and they clear away after guests. At first, they mixed up the drink, but then apologized and changed everything. The portions are very large. Prices are about the same as anywhere else in Paris.

20/04/2026: Swiss bread/Brownie: good puff pastry, but the rest... Flan: pleasant vanilla flavor, but I've had better; the texture is really not good. Pear/tonka creation, or rather croissant dough with a tiny piece of pear on top. Quite disappointing in terms of pastries; the bread remains to be seen.

18/04/2026: Quick service, well-buttered and flaky croissant, chocolate éclair with a chocolate insert rather than pastry cream, but this is respectable and results in something more chocolatey/indulgent (be careful to eat it cold otherwise it probably wouldn't work).

10/07/2026: I advise against going there in the morning if you just want to have a drink and wait; the guy won't let you sit down for less than €4.50, which is unheard of. Normally, no matter what drink you have, even a coffee, you're supposed to be able to sit down, especially since it's not for long and nobody's in the restaurant, but the service asks you to move or stay at the bar. Really very poor quality, I don't recommend it.

07/07/2026: Lunch on the terrace with a magnificent view of Lake Bourget. We ate very well and the waitress was very friendly.

15/06/2026: I checked the reviews before coming, and I was pleasantly surprised. I knew the old Cantarelle, and the new one isn't bad either. Excellent value for money, a good selection—exactly what you're looking for at lunchtime. A very warm and friendly welcome...highly recommended.

The welcome is the highlight of this establishment: the service is exemplary, combining great professionalism with a warmth and friendliness that makes all the difference. You can tell the team loves hosting. As for the food, it's flawless. The menu is 100% homemade and offers perfectly executed Lyonnaise classics, as well as varied daily specials that ensure you'll never get bored. The dishes are presented tastefully, without unnecessary frills: it's beautiful, it's delicious, and the balance of flavors is always perfect. The little detail that makes all the difference? At the end of service, the chef takes the time to visit each table to greet the guests and make sure everything went well. A rare and genuine gesture that wonderfully concludes the meal. Whether it's for the quality of the food or the friendliness of the staff, this is a place you'll return to with immense pleasure. A must-try!

28/05/2026: The problem with this establishment: the service. The orange juice was good. The terrace is nice. The fact that credit cards aren't accepted below a certain amount is clearly displayed before ordering. But one waiter (unfortunately for me, the others seemed professional) was far too intrusive. He claimed he was joking. Personally, and I'm far from the only one who feels this way, I call it a series of completely inappropriate remarks and insistence.
