28/09/2025: We started with Tataki de Thon. Tasted very good. Then Supreme de Volaille which was also perfect. We finished with Assiette de Fromages and Millefeuille aux Fraises. Really nice too. Everything was perfect. We´ll be back.

20/07/2026: Our order was mishandled, and when we pointed it out after the wrong crepe arrived, we were told the problem was ours and received no compensation whatsoever... Furthermore, the crepe was far too overcooked. Expensive and of very average quality, in addition to the aggressive service.

15/05/2026: While visiting the fortified churches of Thiérache, we discovered this charming inn where we enjoyed an excellent meal. The dishes are exquisitely prepared with seasonal produce, and the wine list is impressive... We will gladly return on our next visit to the region!

29/04/2026: Unfortunately, not a friendly welcome! Before we were even properly inside, it was made clear to us that there was no room! Not even for a drink! We were on bikes! There is nothing to be found in the entire area! The way we were spoken to was very inhospitable!

First, the young team gave us a very warm welcome, the service was top-notch and always with a smile, the local and homemade dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, and the prices were very reasonable! The restaurant overlooks the bay, has a shaded terrace, and is a peaceful spot. Just so you know, we're the couple in our fifties who, thanks to your generosity and kindness, had a fantastic evening filled with laughter. What's more, we even made a new connection, thanks to the lovely atmosphere and everyone's friendliness! Thank you to the amazing waitstaff – keep up the great work, you're wonderful! 22/06/2026: I can't judge the quality of this bar/tabac/brasserie since at 11:20 am they refused to serve us coffee, even though they had reserved the dining room and terrace (empty at that hour) for lunch.

11/04/2026: The food is quite good but the bathroom are very dirty and old. I hope they will make a renovation and keep the bathroom clean.

08/06/2026: We had a lovely time at this restaurant. The dishes were as beautiful as they were delicious, with elegant presentation and excellent flavors. However, a few things could be improved. The decor could perhaps use a refresh to create a warmer atmosphere. I also found the cheese rather bland, and the dessert was served very lukewarm, which made it less enjoyable. Finally, the staff is professional and friendly, although a smile would add an extra touch of warmth. Overall, a good experience, with a few tweaks that could make all the difference.

23/05/2026: The welcome was normal, nothing to report, but the service was mediocre. They practically jumped on us, not even giving us time to look at the appetizer menu. They brought us rock-hard croutons to spread with tuna rillettes? Hello, dentures! We asked the waitress why the bread was so hard, and she replied, "It's all I have," before giving us slices of bread. She came back to take our order without waiting for us to finish our appetizers. Unhappy and not very friendly, she returned later. The menu wasn't worth the price, the young waiters were too attentive at the table, in short, a bad experience at this express restaurant, "Le Lion d'Or," which wasn't very welcoming. A sad end, or perhaps just plain hungry? 😂🤣

21/02/2026: DECEMBER 2025: Stopped for a break on the road. I simply enjoyed an excellent Americano coffee, a large pot of hot water, and a pastry. BRAVO! Here, newspapers are available for customers in the bar. WELCOME: Warm. ATMOGRAPHY: You immediately feel at ease here. It's even hard to get moving to get back on the road.

09/07/2026: The restaurant is tastefully and simply decorated, and very welcoming. The owner is very friendly and warm. The free-range chicken in cider sauce was a delightful culinary discovery, and the mashed potatoes were amazing! Excellent value for money! The restrooms were impeccably clean (which is often indicative of the state of the rest of the establishment).
