Lake fish take center stage, and each dish is a delightful surprise. Bravo for the skill, the techniques employed, and the refined sauces: we loved everything. The wine pairing perfectly complemented the experience. A must-try!
22/02/2026: A magical experience at this Michelin-starred establishment, where we also took advantage of the weekend to spend the night in the hotel located just a few minutes from the restaurant. We dined there for a special occasion and appreciated both the warm welcome and the cuisine. Technically prepared dishes, sublime sauces and jus, local produce expertly showcased, all accompanied by a wine pairing that delighted us. Breakfast was equally delicious, featuring vanilla flan and homemade braided brioche. It was perfect, thank you for this wonderful experience.

13/01/2026: I share with many others the intense pleasure of lunch at the Apple Garden Café! The setting is as simple as the menu: English potatoes cooked the traditional way (crispy, charred skin, tender, sweet interior) accompanied by sauces that perfectly complement them. And of course, the desserts! I'll be back to enjoy the garden as soon as the local weather permits. I promise! Note: Given its central location and proximity to schools, reservations are recommended.

15/02/2026: We had a wonderful time enjoying the Valentine's Day menu. The dishes were refined and perfectly executed! Special mention goes to the Jerusalem artichoke mousse with puffed rice! The welcome was fantastic, the atmosphere cozy and homey. They have a very good selection of local wines! And the desserts sounded daring on paper—chocolate-rose and saffron-ginger—but they were absolutely delicious! 😄 And I loved it! 👏 Well done! We'll be back to enjoy the terrace.

27/02/2026: A great atmosphere at this restaurant. We came for drinks and then dinner. €5 for a pint is reasonable. The all-you-can-eat menu is also reasonably priced (€15). The quality of the flammekueche was okay, which is what you expect from this type of restaurant. There were six of us with board games, and we weren't asked to leave the table or anything.

16/02/2026: What a wonderful discovery! 😍 Passing through Nîmes for the day, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and what a stroke of luck it was! We received a wonderfully warm welcome with smiles and genuine kindness. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and superbly cooked. A place to remember, and we promise we'll be back! Special mention to the gratinéed Rocamadour cheese with its rosemary sorbet 👌

26/02/2026: We had an overall very enjoyable experience at Bistro Saint Georges. For starters, we tried the foie gras. The idea of pairing it with a coffee sauce was interesting and creative. However, I personally felt that the foie gras itself lacked some of the rich depth and intensity you usually expect from a more classic preparation. For the mains, we had the lamb and the beef. The lamb was absolutely amazing — a beautiful combination of flavors, and the meat was incredibly tender, practically melting in the mouth. The beef was also excellent in terms of taste and quality. I ordered it medium, but it arrived closer to medium-well, almost well done. It was still very good, but when you order medium at a restaurant, you expect it to be cooked accordingly. The main downside of the evening was the waiting time. There appears to be only one cook and one waitress, and it took more than an hour for our main courses to arrive. The staff was doing their best, but the service was understandably slow. I think the owner should consider hiring additional staff to improve the overall experience.
26/02/2026: We arrived at 7:00 for our booking there were no dinners yet. The decor is a little bleak, but the reviews had been great and we had walked by previously and seen it busy. We ordered and were very pleased with the food, the server gave our dogs some attention and water, The beef was excellent - best I have had in a while, and the Sea Bass was reported as excellent as well. By the time we left at 8:15 the place was almost full and the resto much more ambiance. Great place, but don't go too early like us!

22/02/2026: We were disappointed by the service this time. Very little attention was paid, nothing like our previous experiences at this restaurant. We had to ask for water several times. We had ordered two bottles: one sparkling and one still, and they were still half full when we left.
22/02/2026: One star for a Michelin-starred restaurant A disastrous experience! The service was completely inadequate for a Michelin-starred establishment, making the whole experience very unpleasant. There were four of us, but we arrived two at a time and were seated at separate tables. It took us 20 minutes to realize we were all there, and the waiter simply said, "Oops, a little hiccup." The rest of the dinner was much the same: aperitifs were served very slowly, and our order was taken at the same time as the aperitif—you can't be expected to think. Mineral water was served like mint tea, and it was difficult to set the plates down properly. The time between courses was very long (we ate for four hours! Luckily, we only ordered the four-course menu and not the six-course one). Crumbs were poorly cleared. Empty glasses were left on the table. And there was this unpleasant feeling of being a nuisance to the service! This isn't how it's supposed to work. Service should be discreet. The sommelier's service was reminiscent of a neighborhood bar, completely out of sync with the dishes, and there was no explanation of what the wine paired with each course (one glass for both appetizers, which was a shame, as they'd have to know!). The wines served were unusual, perhaps too unusual? The food fared a little better, thankfully, although the bread was overcooked and not at all practical for the dishes served. We were disappointed by the John Dory, which was very salty. The appetizers and desserts, however, were very good and refined. In short, a very, very big disappointment, with no attempt at self-reflection from the staff and no attempt to compensate for the minor issues!
