04/09/2026: Disappointing. We were regulars at this restaurant, but with the new management... no little biscuits with the aperitif, the bare minimum with the meal, no light in the restrooms, the hand dryer was broken. Another restaurant to forget. It's a shame, it used to be a good place, but that was THEN. I'd like to point out that your response is irrelevant. We had two bottles of port, wine, two pizzas, a waffle, and coffee for 44 euros. I can understand being out of fresh produce, but not dry goods with a long expiration date...

21/10/2026: It was a one-minute emergency call, and it was raining. The staff and owner were incredibly rude. As soon as I took shelter under the awning, they asked me if I wanted to come inside and eat, or if I should leave. It was a shame because there was no one else to go inside, and the sidewalk is a public space. That's why my rating would be -10 if I could, and that's why I'm giving them a 1.

22/09/2026: You eat at the table, you die when you leave, they are totally infected, I'm not talking about the "edible" dishes if you can call them that, diarrhea guaranteed.

24/09/2026: There are good and bad points at the Latin American restaurant. The good points? The ribeye steak was very good, the other dishes were perfectly acceptable, as were the prices. The garden is lovely. The service is decent. The bad points? Very, very slow, so don't be in a hurry, and the wine list is rather limited. Finally, the dining room decor is so-so, but I suppose that's a matter of taste.

23/08/2026: Yes, it's a bar, but also and especially for local workers, a high-end lunch spot at unbeatable prices. The dishes are carefully prepared, original, constantly evolving, and seasonal. A resounding yes.

23/08/2026: A lovely terrace and a superb atmosphere. A warm welcome and quick, friendly service. We were lucky enough to discover this restaurant during a SBK (Salsa, Baccarat, and Bakata) night; the DJ was fantastic, and the level of the salsa and bachata dancers was impressive. We'd gladly return.

02/11/2026: A romantic dinner this evening, November 2nd, 2026, to celebrate the end of our vacation. A real treat for the taste buds: a more than generous roasted Camembert, an absolutely excellent Welsh rarebit, and a cream puff with real Chantilly cream (increasingly rare in restaurants)... all served by Micka, a charming young Corsican waiter. A must-try.

29/10/2026: A pleasant place for a drink, a very friendly waitress, but avoid the flammekueche – it's not really a flammekueche at all! €13 for something inedible is really expensive. The cook should review their recipe if they're truly homemade. But I seriously doubt it.

08/09/2026: I first knew Café Noir several decades ago when we used to come here every summer for our holidays. It was a well-maintained place. Attentive staff, a piano that often resonated when a customer played it... the welcome was excellent, and the service was too. It was the place to be on the island! What a disappointment now. The prices, the service, the welcome, and the overcrowded terrace... a lot of work needs to be done in every area. We left after a long wait that only gave us time to look at the menu... the prices are unjustified. I really don't recommend it.

08/09/2026: We made le cafe noir our daily stop off when cycling from our campsite to Noirmoutier. The atmosphers is very relaxed and peefect to unwind a d take in the surroundings. The food is varied and delicious. The service is excellent and the staff understood english as our french is poor.

16/03/2026: I've never been there, but I've always heard great things about it. I wanted to eat there for lunch today, but apparently it's been permanently closed since Saturday. What a shame!

07/03/2026: A wonderful discovery in Venette! Le Méga is a restaurant that pleasantly surprises. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in the ambiance of a Savoyard chalet, with plenty of wood, warm decor, and intimate spaces reminiscent of mountain inns. The atmosphere is friendly and truly refreshing, especially considering it's so close to Compiègne. The dining room is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with tables equally suited to group meals and quieter dinners. The menu offers generous and delicious French cuisine: beautiful cuts of meat, cheese specialties, regional dishes, and a few perfectly executed classics. You can tell the food is made for pleasure, simple yet satisfying. Special mention goes to the exceptionally friendly and attentive service. It's the kind of place where you quickly feel at ease. A welcoming spot where you can have a wonderful time, and where you'll naturally want to return.

26/08/2026: Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The mussels were cold and extremely salty. And the fries were even worse—undercooked and cold. A true kitchen nightmare!

25/08/2026: The waitresses were very welcoming and deserve 5 stars. We also had a very good meal for the price. I highly recommend it.

16/04/2026: I paid €5.90 for a ham and Emmental sandwich made with baguette bread (and not even a traditional baguette)! The Franprix 50 meters away sells vacuum-packed sandwiches, and that's actually a better deal...

16/03/2026: The baguette curled up like wet cardboard. Disappointing choice. The storefront leaves much to be desired. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of several reviews…

01/10/2026: A nice spot for a village :) The staff is very friendly, but I think they should have one more person in the kitchen and dining room, as the wait is quite long. Personal opinion: Having a TV showing BFM or other channels isn't ideal in a restaurant (it makes it feel like a bar). The music is also a bit too loud. Overall, it's still decent :)

05/08/2026: I came with friends and we were not disappointed!! The pizzas were excellent and the carbonara recipe was authentically Italian, the welcome was also warm, I recommend it.

25/10/2026: This cafe is lovely! It had a really nice atmosphere, very Parisian and a great cafe stop if you are near rue de Rivoli. I ordered a chai latte, and it was very delicious; a very spicy chia, definitely brewed in house and not a teabag, however this may have been a mistake but it was not strained! At all! This made it very grainy and I got bits of cardamon and nutmeg which was not super pleasant but I luckily strained it later. Other than that it was a lovely stop. I also tried their coffee and it was quite nice, so I recommend that- If you go my only tip is to make sure your chai is strained.
