16/07/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped at this restaurant. The food was simple but very good, and the portions were generous. Excellent value for money; the set menu (starter, main course, and dessert) was €15.90. A warm welcome. I recommend it.

01/05/2026: Nice roadside diner, a marquee in the back, plenty of seating. Decent meal, (good) set menu: (starter, main course, dessert) less than 18 euros. With a quarter-liter of wine. Small starter buffet... (only one serving per person) The waitstaff lacked focus at times (perhaps a little hard of hearing) but remained very friendly nonetheless. (Please don't overlook this!) At the end of the meal... I recommend the (house) dessert, a pure delight which, for me, is by far the best of all those I have had the opportunity to taste to date. Good value for money. 29/04/2026: Le Vauban restaurant is a wonderful discovery in Normandy. It offers simple yet delicious home-style cooking, with well-prepared and flavorful dishes. It's the perfect place to share a lovely time with family, especially since the restaurant is very child-friendly. The setting is also a real plus: located on the harbor, the place is charming and pleasant, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

24/03/2026: The price did not reflect what was served on the plate: the scallops had rings in the scallop meat that hadn't been removed and were overcooked.

03/12/2025: I go to the drive-thru in the morning. A real ham and butter sandwich with good butter and good ham (and of course, good bread). That's becoming increasingly rare!

08/08/2026: I visited because I wanted to eat pho. The store is clean and has an outdoor terrace, so the atmosphere is great. The Gong coffee you recommended is perfect for Korean taste buds.

14/09/2026: The service was terrible! We waited a very long time for a waiter to come. We had only ordered the daily starter five times and a Coke, as we just wanted a light meal. After 10 minutes, the Coke arrived. The waiter brought us the menus and said the dish wasn't available for us. We should choose something else. We assumed the dish was already sold out. A shame for us. Unfortunately, we were pressed for time and decided to leave. We still wanted to pay for the Coke. At the register, it turned out that the five dishes were still listed on the system. The bartender who tried to ring us up was very upset, since the dish was indeed available, but his colleague had told us otherwise. It seems our order simply wasn't profitable enough, and the bartender prioritized good service. He was very sorry about his colleague's actions and gave us the Cokes free of charge. Of course, he couldn't hide his displeasure with his colleague. Getting €70 for food and a drink in an hour, or just the price of a Coke, makes a big difference. The atmosphere is great. I can't comment on the food. The prices on the menu were a bit high, but I can't say whether they were justified since I never actually ate there and never will. If I ever come back to the area, I'll definitely avoid it, because first impressions are what count.

17/10/2026: A very warm welcome, a magnificent setting, and a pleasant stay. Well located for exploring the surrounding area. We planned to have dinner at the hotel but had difficulty finding a good evening meal nearby. We were disappointed with the breakfasts, which were rather ordinary for the price. Nevertheless, we have fond memories, particularly of our interactions with the receptionist, who did her job perfectly. A good base for anyone who enjoys exploring the charms of the Cotentin peninsula. Sincerely
