10/07/2026: First time in the Queyras region and the last day of our trip. While searching for a good restaurant online, we came across this one, whose excellent Google reviews convinced us. Before heading there, we called ahead because we were traveling with a large dog. We always ask if dogs are allowed to avoid any misunderstandings. We were assured that there were no problems, including eating inside. So, we set off with complete confidence. Upon arrival, the welcome was unfortunately very cold. The manager (I assume) informed us in a rather unfriendly tone that she would be seating us on the terrace because some people don't like dogs. We then asked if it would be possible to have a table inside, away from the crowd, so as not to disturb anyone. Finally, seemingly reluctantly, she agreed and seated us next to some customers who were absolutely lovely. Fortunately, the rest of the experience more than made up for it. The young waitress spontaneously brought water for our dog, and the cook even came over to pet him. The meal itself was excellent. However, our waitress seemed rather uninterested, and the manager's attitude remained cold throughout the entire service. In short, I recommend this restaurant for the quality of its food and for the kindness of the cook and the young waitress. Unfortunately, the manager's poor reception marred what could have been a perfect experience.

04/07/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Boizé! The seared salmon was delicious, as was the duck... everything was very well prepared and the staff were very welcoming.

29/04/2026: We went there for lunch as a couple on a Wednesday. The atmosphere was great, the setting pleasant with soothing decor. The service was mainly provided by trainees. They did their best and were very pleasant. For our meal, we opted for the lunchtime set menu. We had gravlax salmon as a starter and flank steak with fries as a main course. The dishes were delicious, well-seasoned, and full of flavor! However, the dessert left much to be desired… a tiramisu without biscuits. And a chocolate pistachio fondant that was dry with a very artificial pistachio "coulis." Avoid this place for dessert. At the end of service, the manager was unpleasant. He didn't ask how the meal went and had a haughty air about him.

26/05/2026: A wonderful discovery with Mediterranean flavors! The dishes are delicious, generous, and prepared with care, using fresh ingredients that shine through in every plate. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, ideal for sharing a good meal in a friendly setting. The service is welcoming and attentive, with a smiling team that takes great care of its customers. A charming place that I happily recommend!

11/04/2026: I went to their shop for a simple brake adjustment: my bike brakes were terrible, a real safety issue. I arrived politely and kindly, offering to pay a small fee, of course, because I understand that work deserves compensation. But then they asked me for €20 for "a quick adjustment" – nothing more. No diagnosis, no parts, just tightening a brake cable. For an organization supposedly promoting cycling and helping people, I was stunned. The worst part? They let me leave with my brakes still dangerous, without any safety precautions, no advice, no compensation. Zero empathy. For an organization, they are unscrupulous, merciless, and devoid of humanity. You're disgusting; all they care about is money. And on top of that, they asked for €20 just to line their own pockets. If you don't have money, you can die. They put me in a dangerous situation on the road; it's shameful. Even for free, you'd expect a helping hand, but I was prepared to pay… but not €20 for a 20-second fix. Frankly, it's pathetic. The person there gave me the impression of a con artist preying on cyclists' distress. At this point, the shop might as well close down or the people in charge should find another line of work. An association that doesn't help, doesn't provide information, and leaves people feeling unsafe… it's no longer an association, it's a scam. They should stop calling it "La Maison du Vélo" (The Bike House), it's truly disgusting. I'm disgusted. Avoid this "La Maison du Vélo." In response to my comment, La Maison du Vélo: You tell me it was a €20 monthly fee, but I asked for a service and to pay you, which is normal. And you didn't tell me it was a paid service. With the Gold package, all I wanted was to get my brakes fixed so I could get home. You persist and insist that I accept your €20 conditions. So, in your opinion, is €20 worth more than a human life? You put me in danger. I am deeply outraged by your attitude. Your lack of transparency and your contempt are revolting. You show total indifference towards cyclists. Well, let me tell you: you are inhumane. Close your shop and open a sandwich shop or a bakery instead; it would be better. I have never seen such coldness. You should be ashamed.

28/04/2026: If you are ever spat on in the face (literally) by a taxi driver outside this restaurant, the waiters who witnessed the incident will refuse to testify if you file a complaint. I recommend avoiding this establishment.

26/07/2026: A very nice, small restaurant with excellent quality food. Friendly service and a varied menu offering galettes, pizzas, and meat and fish dishes. All the dishes we ordered looked great and, most importantly, were very tasty. Good value for money.

18/06/2026: A warm welcome, a fairly well-stocked all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet, but a little under-seasoned. However, my main course was truly disappointing in both quality and quantity; the homemade fries were quite pleasant, but the pork stir-fry was inedible, tough, and had an unpleasant taste. The dessert buffet was adequately stocked, the service was rather unfriendly, and the atmosphere was very noisy. A very reasonable price: €16.

10/05/2026: Reasonable price and friendly service. However, on Saturday at lunchtime, the couscous was reheated, clearly from last Thursday, and contained canned vegetables – a disgrace for a restaurant. I was sick all afternoon afterwards. Disappointed.

21/07/2026: We came here after a bad experience at the restaurant next door. The service was efficient and the welcome was great. The menu and value for money offered something for everyone. The dining room was clean and well-maintained, and the servers were friendly. A perfect end to our family outing. It's worth noting that the atmosphere is very welcoming.

20/07/2026: First visit to this restaurant and the first impression wasn't great: we arrived and waited to be seated (it was noon, the restaurant was empty), all the staff were eyeing each other out of the corner of their eyes, pretending not to have seen us, trying to decide who would take our table before someone finally "sacrificed" themselves five minutes later. I know the restaurant business is tough, but it's not very inviting when you feel like you're bothering them, especially since they've been open for half an hour. Of course, this is just a personal experience and doesn't define the entire service and atmosphere, but it doesn't make me want to come back, unfortunately.

19/07/2026: Waited 45 minutes before ordering. We ordered drinks and the main courses arrived at the same time. Several mistakes were made when taking our order, and we returned multiple times. Avoid at all costs. The waiter was grumpy and sighed throughout the service.

04/04/2026: We would have liked to leave a positive review. We made a reservation on your website for 7:45 pm, it was confirmed, and we received a reminder by email a few hours beforehand. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. It's a shame; we weren't the only disappointed customers waiting outside. Please check if the restaurant is open before making the trip.

04/04/2026: You book for 5, you arrive and everything is closed! Unprofessional, shameful, I'll never trust them again!

26/05/2026: How can I express our disappointment? On Monday, May 25th, we received confirmation of our reservation around 5:00 PM, stating that we were expected at 8:30 PM. What a nasty surprise to arrive at Café Émile and find it closed. I am extremely disappointed and will not be recommending this establishment. And they offered no apology whatsoever.
