13/06/2026: A very bad experience. We came with friends simply to have a drink and a good time, but everything went very wrong. The waitress was unfriendly and came back four or five times to ask for our order again, as if she hadn't even written it down. Furthermore, on three separate occasions, she told us that some of the cocktails or spirits we ordered weren't available, even though they were listed on the menu. The most disappointing part was the wait: after 40 minutes, we still hadn't been served. Faced with this lack of organization and consideration for customers, we finally decided to leave.

02/04/2026: A warm welcome, a maximum of 5 minutes to receive our order, and for around €20 per person, the value for money is excellent. I highly recommend the butcher's cut, which is truly superb. The service was top-notch (special mention to Gaëtan), I had a wonderful time. Regarding the atmosphere, the reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is some traffic outside, etc., but honestly, it wasn't bothersome at all. Thank you, and I will definitely be back! 😉

01/08/2026: I booked a table for two by email about a month before the desired date... when I arrived at 8:30 pm with my partner, I was told that the table we'd booked on the terrace wasn't available because it threatened to rain (the wind had picked up and dark clouds were approaching threateningly), and I understand that... but knowing my reservation and knowing the possibility of storms, they should have kept a table for the two of us in the dining room, but that wasn't the case... the dining room was full of people who surely all, or almost all, booked after me, and they placed us at a lame table in front of the bar, a table we had to pass through to use the bathroom... we asked to move and they gave us a table a little further forward in the corner of the bar, which at least was a little more secluded and not a walk-through table. From there I heard the waiter joking with the owner about us, calling me "Indiana Jones"... they also went to the next table to ask if everything was okay at least three times, something they never did (who knows why?)... we no longer felt like dining there, so we ordered a French-style beef tartare, which I must honestly say was really good and well-seasoned... the bread they brought me, however, was awful (it looked like stale bread left over from another table by other customers)... and with the tartare, anyway, I expected warm, toasted bread... based on the experience I had, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I'm giving it two stars instead of one only because of the excellent tartare... too bad... the hotel where we're staying, the Terra Vinum, recommends it to all its guests, but they should recommend others in the town of Gueberschwihr (there are two that I tried last year that are absolutely better)...

25/07/2026: A very nice outdoor café, the service is cool and available, the small terrace under the trees is very pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed the platters and the BBQ!

23/07/2026: Birthday celebration on Monday evening. Calm atmosphere but no wait to order. Varied platters to share. Decent selection of drinks. Pleasant and welcoming staff. Very pleasant setting under the trees.

20/07/2026: The full menu isn't on the website yet... The octopus was excellent. And the (seasonal) tartare was very well prepared.

26/06/2026: Unfortunately, the taste doesn't justify the price. I'm disappointed; I ordered three pizzas and there was more dough than topping. At €17 a pizza, I don't think the price is justified at all, quite the opposite.

27/07/2026: A very pleasant time at the Casino de Challes-les-Eaux. The establishment is welcoming, clean, and well-maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful, and contribute to a convivial atmosphere. The machines are varied, and the setting is truly pleasant, whether you're looking to gamble or simply enjoy a nice evening. A great place in Savoie that I happily recommend!

15/07/2026: Excellent welcome, very good quality products, pleasant and attentive staff, generous meals. It's a shame that under-18s aren't allowed in.

02/04/2026: We reserved a table by phone on Wed, 1.4.26 for Thu, 2.4.26 - and then on Thursday evening we found ourselves standing in front of a locked door!

20/03/2026: A very aggressive waitress with no smile. Plus, she didn't ask how we wanted our meat (duck) cooked. The menu was written on a large board: we didn't appreciate it at all because you had to get up to choose, which was very inconvenient. The chef who cooked the meat was very friendly and pleasant, and I thank him for cooking our meat exactly as we requested! The duck was absolutely delicious! Well done to him! And thank you to the other waitress who was much more welcoming.

06/06/2026: Charming! The saleswoman was very friendly and the baked goods were incredibly delicious! The bread, croissants, and pastries were heavenly, and the little cake was a dream! It's definitely worth a visit!

15/05/2026: Hello, I tried the strawberry and raspberry cakes, they were as pretty as they were delicious, the flavors were really present, very well balanced in sugar, a real treat, the breads and pastries are also successful with a wide choice 👌.

01/07/2026: Reading the various reviews of this student cafeteria, I noticed that some seemed sarcastic. Please know that mine is sincere and written from the heart. I ate lunch here, and sometimes dinner, for seven years, and I was rarely disappointed. The food is good, the portions generous, and the menu is regularly updated. I want to highlight the initiative of adding a soup option as a starter, often made with leftovers from the previous day's meal. These soups are truly delicious and help reduce food waste. I would also like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. Most of them have been there for a while, and it's a pleasure to thank them when they bring us our plates or wish them a good day after we've paid. And the price? Until recently, it was €3.30 for non-scholarship students, and now it's €1 for everyone—unbeatable for a meal of this quality! After seven long years of studying here, it's the end of an era for me. I will cherish the memory of this place where I grew up, where I relaxed after exams, grabbed a quick bite between study sessions, or simply shared a full and inexpensive meal with friends when times were tougher. I will remember the people who work here, whose names I don't know and who don't know mine, but who have always been kind and smiling. Thank you, student union, for these wonderful memories!

For five years now, the Mascaret student restaurant has welcomed my classmates and me every day, allowing us to enjoy a satisfying meal, savoring something other than the three pebbles left in our respective fridges. For the past five years, since we've been attending the Carreire campus, we've seen the CROUS (student services organization) evolve, innovate, try new things, sometimes fail, always get back up, but never, ever disappoint us. Redoubling their efforts to satisfy our hunger with a variety of dishes day after day, the CROUS Carreire team, made up of wonderful and creative people, is overflowing with imagination when it comes to preparing meals that are more delicious than the last. Indeed, what a joy it was to peruse that tempting menu around 11 a.m. at the Josy Reiffers University Library, when our stomachs suddenly rumbled, pulling us from the torpor into which item 234 had plunged us… There are little pleasures in life that must be savored (and speaking of flavor, did I mention the Lebanese maffé or moudjarabah? Pure gastronomy!) Furthermore, there's no waste here! Between the vegetarian dishes transformed into soups the next day and the carafes of water banished from the tables, the Mascaret University Restaurant distinguishes itself through its ecological values, which have become fundamental these days. One more reason to support this exceptional establishment! Moreover, I haven't yet mentioned the atmosphere; Indeed, a constant joie de vivre reigns at the Mascaret student restaurant, fueled by the friendliness and smiles of the staff every time we go through the checkout or the service. Between themed meals and upbeat playlists, the team knows how to keep students motivated even in the most challenging moments. In short, in addition to delighting our taste buds for years, the Crous at the Carreire Campus has watched us grow up and warmed our hearts when we needed it most. This team is certainly partly responsible for our success as students, and I would even say as young adults. We will long remember our lunches and dinners shared around our green trays (or was it yellow?), interspersed with quirky anecdotes and fits of laughter. I hope you all have the opportunity to benefit from such a collective catering service, and I warmly thank the entire team at the RU and the Crous of the Carreire campus for supporting us in this way on a daily basis!

29/05/2026: OUTRAGEOUS!!! I've never stayed at this hotel and I certainly won't!! They accept dogs, but at €15 per dog per day! We wanted to book for 4 days with our two dogs; do the math, it's more expensive than the price of a room!!! This is a blatant refusal to allow dogs!!!

22/06/2026: Booked a room, and haven't noticed that there is no air conditioning. My mistake... But come on, how can you propose rooms without air conditioning, when it is literally +40 outside? That's disrespectful to your guests. Install air conditioning, or block the rooms for booking, when the temperature outside is 30+... Best regards.

09/06/2026: The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean and well laid out. However, the walls are paper-thin! The room was adjoining another room separated only by an uninsulated door, so daylight streamed in underneath, and the room was cleaned very early… whether you were in the adjoining room or not. The noise level in the common areas inevitably affected the rooms from 7:30 am onwards…

19/04/2026: We had booked online and once we arrived, we realized the restaurant was closed. However, there was no notice on the door, and the Google page doesn't reflect the restaurant's closure.
