20/10/2026: I just saw the review photos and the Loc lac seems appetising. Went there to give it a try, the restaurant looks empty for I don’t know why, but THE FOOD IS 5 🌟 !!! Hands down the best Beef loc lac I have ever tried. So tender and succulent!! The staff are so polite and sweet. Service is the best! The food feels like a hug! Please give it a try and definitely try the BEEF LOC LAC. 💓💓💓 I ate it almost everyday as I was staying nearby.

18/10/2026: The rice at the Loclac was inedible and tasted moldy. The saucy dishes were soggy and therefore tasteless, and if there was any flavor at all, it was moldy. Special mention goes to the gas-powered scooter that was in the kitchen.

06/09/2026: The loaves of bread have shrunk... The pastry portions are smaller, and there are fewer staff serving: there are clearly cost-cutting measures in place.

31/08/2026: I ordered a salad as part of a set menu for over €13, including dessert. The avocado was practically nonexistent! At that price, there should at least be half an avocado! On the other hand, there was toast! The container looked large, but that's just an illusion. I'm extremely disappointed! I think it's far too expensive for what it is! However, the food was good and the service was excellent.

19/10/2026: Very relaxed, stress free pocket of space. Two sandwiches with two coffees and a tart was 20 EUR. After spending couple days in Paris, its very reasonable price

19/10/2026: The food is delicious, but they required us to eat upstairs within 20 minutes. When we arrived, we noticed that the French weren't required to eat within that time, which annoyed us a lot.

02/11/2026: It's not enough to take 1 bottle of water to use the bathroom, you have to take 1 per person. If 5 of you go to the bathroom, it costs the same as lunch!!

01/11/2026: The new owner is super friendly: we had major train problems, he gave us a very warm welcome and offered to help us with our bikes. A great experience!

19/09/2026: Disappointed with the meal. I received the mustard at the end of the meal. I also received the drink at the end of the meal. The leg of lamb was very fatty. Furthermore, the owner's smile was missing. The staff were very smiley. No, I will not be returning. Mr. Dupuis.

03/09/2026: Delicious and generous portions. Very friendly service. Restaurant at the Best Western hotel, excellent hotel location. Unfortunately, while everything else was perfect, my dish was lukewarm/cold, even though the ingredients were perfectly cooked.

06/09/2026: We ate there on a Saturday at lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed our meal 😋 The servers were very friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I highly recommend this place; you won't be disappointed 👍

01/09/2026: I don't know where to begin, there's so much to say. Regarding the food, you could make the effort to source your ingredients from METRO in Alès, or at least use local products instead of your inedible, low-priced items. It's a disgrace for a restaurant like this. In 2022, you had a turnover of €621,800, and you're not capable of providing good products to your customers? It's an absolute disgrace. Your daily special is awful. You cook food with shabby, dirty utensils; it's disastrous. Seating for lunch is fairly quick, as is taking orders. The servers are very pleasant, which is what saves the restaurant. I don't know how they manage to stay open; I take my hat off to them for not giving up. The music wasn't up to par, but thankfully the servers were very friendly, making it easy to chat. Children running around the restaurant at lunchtime was overwhelming. Perhaps someone should tell the person in charge that children shouldn't be in the workplace? Sir/Madam, I urge you to reconsider the state of your restaurant. Sincerely,

16/09/2026: We don't understand the negative comments. It was great – the service, the food, everything. Dogs are very welcome and receive a warm welcome. We'd love to come back.

16/09/2026: A very welcoming place. We ate very well; the portions were quite generous, and the staff were absolutely lovely. I highly recommend it – excellent value for money.

25/09/2026: No. Run away. The salmon Paris-Brest has a frozen base. And the sides? Green as Scotch-Brite, or the eggplant watery. The owner comes into the dining room dressed in dirty, ripped clothes. Customers wander into the kitchen without a care. Where is the hygiene?

03/10/2026: So far this has been my absolute best meal in France. I absolutely loved it! It was so good I paused and savored every bite. prices are great compared to so many other places we have been. appetizer plus main plate for 22 to 25 euros. I had the filet mignon. My wife had the wild boar with gnocchi. Absolutely delicious. I wish I could go back right now

25/09/2026: We arrived as a couple for drinks, and the terrace was practically empty, yet it was impossible to order. After a 20-minute wait, a server finally came over. We told him we still hadn't been able to order, and he curtly replied, "I don't take orders." A simple "hello" was also optional. We figured another server would eventually come, but after another 10 minutes of waiting, still no one. We were very disappointed with our experience. A little tip: go to the bar across the street instead. They'll take your order in 5 minutes flat, and the servers are polite and welcoming.
