This year again, we made the traditional detour to Château-Chinon and Le Montana for lunch and to say hello to the owners!

20/07/2026: The welcome was a disaster. The waitress was clearly passive-aggressive when we ordered. I've rarely been treated like that. We'd barely ordered when they took away our table, leaving us four crammed onto a tiny round table. Our order was served in dribs and drabs. The first person had already finished their ice cream sundae long before the rest of ours were even served. My advice: avoid this place. Walk a few steps further (there are other bars/restaurants) to enjoy your drink in decent conditions.

27/07/2026: Disappointed with this bakery, which has been declining in its pastries lately. The pastry section is much smaller and of far lower quality than before. One wonders if the pastry chef has changed. The worst part was the strawberry on the cake, which was damaged. The "Grandma's tart" no longer tasted like a Grandma's tart at all, and the mille-feuille had very thick cream. Very disappointed. I will no longer shop there.

26/07/2026: Appalling service, no more bread at 12:30, and when we asked when it would be available again we were given the cold shoulder.

24/05/2026: A very bad experience. The service was extremely slow and unpleasant, and there was an error in the order. When we asked to order, we were told to wait four times. It took over 20 minutes to finally get a drink, at 3:30 pm on a Sunday… A genuine service problem, tinged with bad faith, with three errors in the order, supposedly due to the customer… In short, given the location, there's no need to make an effort! Parisian customers are extremely disappointed.

23/05/2026: Rude staff, overpriced menu, plenty of opening seating outside but they said we had to sit inside if we didn’t order a full lunch, even though it was at 3pm. The gentlemen who handled seating when we walked in was clearly annoyed we just wanted to have a drink, and was short and rude. We’ve been to much nicer restaurants in Paris that let us sit outside for just a drink even during the dinner rush. Plenty of better spots nearby, don’t waste your time or money here.

03/04/2026: Hello, Le César has had several owners, three or four in total. I only knew the last two! So… Claire! Who was quite nice, but who probably had some personal issues that affected his professional life. It was a fun, well-run nightclub, always packed. There was a great atmosphere! Superb New Year's Eve parties! Carnival nights where laughter was guaranteed…. The security service was very professional. When Paulo Rosa was part of it, we felt safe with his colleagues. But lately, sometimes the DJ wasn't at his best! And his playlist had become a bit repetitive recently. On the smaller side, they played excellent reggae music, etc… It's a shame that, according to the rumors, this club is going to close! Because it's really very beautiful! They took too many years to include a drink with the entrance fee. If it does close, I hope someone will take it over! Because this company is part of the Agen region. Best of luck to the former owner or, if applicable, the new owners!

27/07/2026: The shower is not free, you have to take food to shower. I drank 3 beers, and they still wouldn't let me shower because I didn't eat at their place.

26/04/2026: A warm welcome. Friendly help carrying the large bags of kibble to the car. Perfect.

13/01/2026: Things have gone completely wrong at Marcel Bio Plan de Campagne, apart from the sincerity of the staff, who do what they can (poor things...) and are unfortunately under the thumb of their despotic manager. He didn't even deign to see me because he was with the health inspector (who I hope gave him a good telling-off...). I simply had one question: Why is a food product (semolina), expired since September 2025, still on the shelves with only a 20% discount? Without any mention of it anywhere???... Seriously, is this madness??? After asking several salespeople to meet with the manager, and being refused every time, I told them I was going elsewhere. I've been a customer for 15 years, once a week. You've lost a customer. Signed, Frank Zappa (my customer account with them).

09/02/2026: Nothing in the pastry shop seems homemade, and the tea room area doesn't feel very welcoming. The service is really mediocre... keep walking.

28/12/2025: Absolutely no taste, bland even sickening for a blueberry tart and a brookie. Expensive products, unprofessional seller who doesn't know how long it will take for his bread to bake 🤔

24/04/2026: This is an excellent brasserie with lots of charm. The staff are pleasant and professional. I highly recommend this establishment!

15/04/2026: We only ate, but everything was great and they were very friendly.

27/03/2026: The state of the outdoor toilets is deplorable. Chico always introduces his fabulous flautist. He's always there at every performance. But he's presented as a new addition, there only for this evening. Perhaps you should stop buying cheap cheese from Lidl. You could do better with the desserts. And this time the paella was just okay. It would be nice to vary the music a bit instead of always playing the same thing. In the summer there's a lack of heating, in the winter there's a lack of air conditioning.

12/03/2026: I'll be going back soon, it's really lovely, but the gypsy band needs to be there in full force. I recommend it for couples who enjoy good food and especially appreciate these wonderful musical experiences.

11/07/2026: The welcome was pleasant and the food was excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The beef tartare was perfect and the fresh fruit salad was a refreshing treat in this weather.

01/07/2026: The first time in my life I've been refused entry for not having lunch, even though the place was empty. Just so you know, it's a café, not a restaurant. And then they complain about closing because they're not making enough money!

18/05/2026: Not great despite the servers' dedication. Very basic cuisine.

20/04/2026: The place is filthy, the thigh is in a deplorable state, and on top of that, they make racist and discriminatory remarks when you point them out, and they dare to call themselves the Route du Rhum! Avoid at all costs!!!

22/06/2026: We originally came here just for a drink. A middle-aged waiter mocked us and told us that if we did not order food, we would have to compensate him for the complimentary water he had already poured and also pay a seating charge. Although we eventually ordered food as well, we still did not receive the level of service that should be expected. To make matters worse, staff members spoke loudly about us in French, apparently assuming we would not understand. Unfortunately for them, one of our friends speaks French and understood the comments. The food was good but nothing exceptional. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

14/06/2026: Horrible, inedible desserts and frankly the worst service I've ever experienced in Paris.

21/07/2026: Even for a simple coffee, it's nice to feel welcomed. Slow and easy in the morning and not too rushed in the evening, as they say. I won't be spending another euro in this establishment.

19/07/2026: I often come to the room in the morning to work on my computer. It's nice and there are 3-4 electric coffee machines. Just drinks, usually coffee.
