27/07/2026: We were hoping to have a pleasant family outing at this establishment, but the experience was very disappointing. The owner's welcome was cold and unpleasant, to the point that we felt mistreated. Her attitude clearly lacked professionalism and courtesy. Furthermore, there was a mistake with our order: the ice cream flavor served was not the one we ordered. Given these issues, we do not recommend this place.

07/07/2026: I was called a "pain in the ass" because I changed my mind about my order and the waiter had already put the ice cubes in the glass.

21/06/2026: One word for it: RUN AWAY. The hotel is poorly maintained. The lawn isn't mowed. The shrubs aren't trimmed. Objects are lying around. We were told upon arrival that dinner couldn't be served because the cook had resigned... a few months ago. We were forced to eat at the pizzeria 200 meters away! Breakfast on Saturday morning: insects, large and small, were flying over the food... great. And then, on Sunday morning, incredibly, the cleaning lady told us it was impossible to have breakfast. Get this: her colleague hadn't come in and she couldn't reach her... so reception was closed and there was no breakfast. We had to go to the bakery 500 meters away. Which was actually quite good; at least we didn't eat any flying insects. A blessing in disguise, in the end. Booking.com obviously didn't warn us, and if you see customer reviews with 4 or 5 stars for the weekend of June 20th and 21st, they are fake and the reviews are lies. We will obviously be filing a complaint with Booking.com and the Campanile hotel.

20/04/2026: The hotel is old and unwelcoming, but the room is dark. The furniture is outdated. Breakfast is overpriced for a meager continental breakfast and a gloomy room. Once is enough. Two days there was too much for such a high price. Campanile has lost its luster. Good luck. We do not recommend it.

11/07/2026: Loved the vibe here! Amazing service - the waiter was so prompt even with the amount of tables he was managing. Would come back just for him! And the amazing food and drinks as well!

14/06/2026: A very pleasant terrace for enjoying a drink and a snack in the lively atmosphere of the Bastille district. The service was impeccable and the prices were attractive during happy hour.

10/03/2026: Tourist trap: They only serve mediocre frozen fries, and there are no water pitchers (as far as I know, they're connected to the drinking water supply). Even at the top of the slopes, they serve tap water. And to top it all off, the waiter "Chris" is extremely unpleasant.

07/03/2026: The whole area outside was empty. My friends and I were just there to sit. And their rude waitress told us to go somewhere else. People have totally lost their morals.

13/04/2026: We visited the Auberge restaurant twice. While the first evening was a success (warm welcome and quality products), the second experience was quite different. The welcome was considerably less cordial. Even worse, and echoing other reviews, we ordered a 1 kg rib of beef for three people. Imagine our surprise when the waitress presented us with a 1.9 kg piece of meat, billed at €150! At no point did the waitress or the owner inform us of this additional charge, and, not having witnessed the weighing, we don't know if it was done before or after trimming. This is regrettable, because while the meat was excellent, this business practice is unacceptable. Hearing the owner then boast to other customers about "making a killing" thanks to a "packed" inn was the final straw. A little reminder: According to the article. Article L111-1 of the French Consumer Code: Restaurants are required to inform consumers clearly and comprehensibly about the price and essential characteristics of the food or drink. According to Article L121-2 of the French Consumer Code: Charging for a quantity that is almost double the original price without warning may constitute a misleading commercial practice, either by omission or by action. Restaurants are therefore subject to administrative and criminal penalties: Administrative fines of up to €3,000 for individuals and €15,000 for legal entities for failure to display prices or for providing misleading information. Criminal penalties: In cases of proven fraud, penalties can reach up to two years' imprisonment and a €300,000 fine.

12/04/2026: Serving over 2kg of ribeye steak when the customer orders half that amount is shameful. According to previous reviews, this is a common practice at this establishment. Avoid it at all costs.

19/07/2026: A very warm welcome and a menu that smells of homemade goodness. The polenta, the blueberry tart, the small glass of génépi, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff... Pure bliss!

09/08/2026: ⭐️ A phantom order 👻 I placed an order around 8:30 pm for a simple crepe… and guess what? I'm still waiting for it! 😂 The most incredible thing is that during this time, other customers were served normally. My order simply vanished into thin air. Yet, it had definitely been taken by Tony. Well done, Tony! 👏🏼 I can understand that there might be a wait or an oversight, but in that case, the least you could do is let the customer know or apologize. Here, nothing. I just waited and never received my order. Serving other customers while leaving someone waiting without explanation is a rather strange way to treat your clientele.

12/04/2026: Our room was dirty (the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and the bed frame was torn on one side, see photos). They kindly changed it for us (the manager was friendly), but the bad impression remained, and we were left with doubts. For those who enjoy dilapidation and questionable cleanliness, this is the perfect place. Breakfast, however, served in the only modern area of ​​the hotel, was plentiful and good. But otherwise, avoid this place!

29/05/2026: Does not deserve three stars. Unpleasant welcome, made us feel like we were bothering them. Dinner buffet was dirty. Tables weren't cleared, and the food was dry and had been reheated for several hours. The air conditioning in the room was broken, and it was 27 degrees Celsius until morning. At breakfast, there was no coffee, no clean cups, and the tables weren't cleared. I deserved a refund.

23/05/2026: The air conditioning isn't working, it's 32 degrees in the room! Management can't do anything.

01/08/2026: We wanted to sit outside but at first there wasn’t a table but they told us when one was free. We ordered the classique and we got breadcrumbs a piece of baguette and a boiled egg but it wasn’t fully boiled the first time. Everywhere in the store are tables with leftover food from people that already left. So overall it was fine but for not the price. The staff was very friendly but not very active.

29/07/2026: What a disappointment! A completely stale apple and cinnamon tartlet and a detox juice that tasted like store-bought juice. Not fresh at all!
