09/02/2026: It just goes to show, everyone has different tastes: My husband and I sampled five pastries from Mr. Chereau this past Sunday, the 8th. And frankly, we weren't impressed. Only one really appealed to us: the iceberg. Otherwise, everything was too sweet, too many different flavors, just too much of everything. We're used to fine dining, but we were disappointed. I don't doubt his skill at all, but for us, it wasn't to our liking. However, the trompe-l'oeil effects were well done; there's no denying that.

09/02/2026: While in La Rochelle, we tried Theo Chereau's pastries and it was a truly wonderful discovery! There were four of us, and we sat in the tea room. We received a very warm welcome, and the service from the sales team was impeccable and professional. We sampled five pastries and a flaky brioche. The presentation was flawless, with meticulous attention to detail, excellent balance of sweetness, and pronounced flavors. In short, top-notch! Congratulations to your entire team!

Every bite was a delight; you could taste the quality of the ingredients and the culinary expertise. The servers were lovely, always smiling, attentive, and caring throughout the meal. Their kindness and professionalism really made a difference! A warm atmosphere, impeccable service, and excellent cuisine… everything came together for a truly wonderful evening. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

The dishes were beautifully presented and served, the waitresses were very pleasant, and above all, there was very little waiting between courses. It was a pleasure to be welcomed in such a way.

11/02/2026: I had dinner at Le Bouchon des Cordeliers on Friday, February 6, 2026. I had booked a table well in advance, of course. It was my first experience at a true "bouchon lyonnais" and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was informal and friendly. The food was exquisite. The wine was excellent. The place was cozy. The service was attentive. I chose the Menu des Canuts: For a starter, Terrine du Chef: Foie gras, suckling pig, veal, and scallops, onion and pickle compote. For the main course, quenelle Lyonnaise au Brochet, Homardine sauce, and rice pilaf. For dessert, baba au Vieux Rhum Arrangé à la Vanille. To drink, I ordered a pot of Mâcon Villages white wine. Bread and water were complimentary throughout the meal. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend it. Quality and generous portions in every dish. Congratulations to the restaurant management and all the staff. If I return to Lyon, I will definitely go back. Hugs from Spain. 🇪🇸💙💛🤍❤️🇨🇵
