13/09/2026: A fantastic place we discovered last year and returned to this summer with just as much pleasure! The quality of the ingredients is impeccable, and the care put into the cooking is evident in every dish: the combinations of ingredients and the cooking techniques are perfect and expertly executed. Add to that a very pleasant setting and a warm welcome that makes you want to come back. A sure bet in Arles!

11/09/2026: Disastrous experience. I expressed my doubts to the owner about my lasagna. Barely 15 minutes after finishing my meal, I started feeling unwell, with symptoms of severe gastroenteritis. It's impossible to imagine that this wasn't related to the questionable quality of what I ate. I strongly advise against going to this place.

26/08/2026: Lovely cafe!! Service is great - very friendly, patient and helpful. Good selection of wines and draft beers. On a great little corner for people watching and relaxing. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather. We got the fries and the basque pate - both were excellent. Prices are very reasonable.

17/07/2026: A cuisine with character, daily specials, a warm welcome, and service provided by the chef—we didn't expect to find a gourmet restaurant...a real gem. Almost impossible to get a table without a reservation; there were many regulars when we were there. Only local products are used.

14/07/2026: A wonderful romantic dinner on the terrace. The set menu features seven courses, which can be shared or enjoyed individually. The culinary standard is high, and the chef, who personally oversees the service, adds a personal touch that completes a rare and unexpected experience in the Chartreuse region.

16/09/2026: I feel like I always have to repeat this but four stars is a great restaurant. Three stars is a good restaurant. On Google reviews people seems to be go for one star or five star as an option! I don’t know if it’s an up market take on bistro food; it tasted like very well prepared bistro food. I very much enjoyed my meal and the service was excellent. Probably like most people who aren’t from Paris I discovered it through the Michelin guide. Very good wine selection that leans towards the higher end on price. However, the price-value ratio for the wine is very good. i.e. you get what you pay for. I loved the Armagnac Prunes for desert. There aren’t many great options in the neighbourhood, although maybe I didn’t look hard enough. If you’re staying in the neighbourhood I would definitely recommend this one.

14/09/2026: A wonderful discovery at Bacav! A warm and elegant setting, with a particularly friendly welcome from Gilles Choukroun, a passionate and generous chef who shares his culinary world with great simplicity. A truly beautiful dish, precise, flavorful, and full of character. The menu is very appealing and makes you want to return to try other offerings. Also worth mentioning is a superb wine list, with an interesting selection and some delightful discoveries. An excellent lunch, a truly enjoyable experience. Bravo Gilles and the entire Bacav team, and see you very soon!

13/09/2026: We've been to Chiquito several times over the past 10 years. On our last visit, we were surprised, not to say disappointed. We chose the three-course menu, but in our opinion, the portions were more like a five-course menu. It's a real shame because the dishes were good and refined, but leaving a fine-dining restaurant still hungry is quite unusual. I completely understand that restaurateurs need to make a living, but they need to find the right balance so that everyone is satisfied and enjoys their meal.

13/09/2026: A delightful Sunday lunch in a magnificent, picturesque setting with trendy interior decor featuring wood, iron, and stone. I adore this place and return without hesitation. The cuisine is subtle and unpretentious, the atmosphere warm and discreet, and the reasonably priced wines offer hidden gems, like today's Cahors white from Cosse et Maisonneuve - Cheval en tête 2025. This restaurant is a must-try, though you might be tempted to keep this address a secret.

30/08/2026: Run by a humorous Englishman, the cuisine is refined, the scallops are perfectly seared, the menu is minimalist but everything is homemade, no frozen ingredients, and the "Sang de la Terre" (a local wine) is incredibly smooth and drinkable! The desserts are to die for. Excellent value for money.

17/09/2026: On our way to the Pays d'Auge, we loved stopping at the Brasserie de l'Hôtel de Ville Chez Audric et Aurore. A friendly atmosphere with the waitresses Alyson, very pleasant, and Aurore, always ready to take care of her customers with a good sense of humor. The menus were very tasty. A great place to eat. Enjoy your meal!

10/09/2026: Don't forget it's a simple restaurant, so don't be in a rush. The owner is lovely, and there are many local retirees. Take your time and chat with the people at the next tables. It's an unusual establishment, just like the price: 16 euros for a starter, main course, cheese, dessert, a small carafe of red wine, and a coffee. Thank you, owner!

27/07/2026: It was absolutely fabulous! For almost 30 years we've celebrated our family holidays there, and it's always a delight! The food is delicious, prepared with quality ingredients, the service is always outstanding, all in a friendly, family atmosphere. You can tell the team is passionate and very attentive to their customers. Children are treated like royalty. Thank you again for the wonderful feast yesterday.
