20/02/2026: A spot on the banks of the Allier River. Very pleasant and welcoming, thanks to the numerous fire pits and the view. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, however, there are few options for vegetarians (only one fish dish and a Savoyard fondue). We loved the setting, the extensive wine list, the open kitchen, and the blankets on the chairs to keep us nice and warm!

09/12/2025: Two-night stay in one of the hotel suites. A very warm welcome from all the staff, whether at reception, the bar, or housekeeping. The rooms are very clean and modern, equipped with a smart TV. The breakfast is very good and classic: I recommend it. The dinner menu is also excellent, perfect for a rainy evening. The hotel is close to the center of Concarneau and is located right on the oceanfront.

03/01/2025: The service is top-notch; you feel right at home. The chef is incredibly attentive, and the dishes are beautifully presented, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. There's love in every bite. We're eager to return to enjoy the signature seasonal dishes again: the burratina with truffle, the scallops, and the crème brûlée.

20/02/2026: A very comfortable mountain refuge that has retained its authentic charm. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The owner is passionate and enthusiastically shares the history of the refuge. Excellent fondue. Good value for money. Perfect conditions with over 2 meters of snow outside. Magical!

18/02/2026: We had booked a meal and night toboggan run package at the Refuge du Tornieux, but unfortunately, the experience turned dangerous. The information we received by email indicated the existence of a groomed track. Upon arriving at the parking lot, we saw no clear signs and only a hiking trail to the left. We followed it, thinking we would eventually reach the groomed track, especially since there were tracks in the snow. After several minutes, we realized it wasn't the right path, but the signs still pointed to the refuge, so we continued. With the amount of snow, the trails were no longer visible, and we simply followed the path through the snow. The refuge signs disappeared, and we came across a sign indicating "Plaine des Mayères." We then called the refuge to ask whether we should continue or turn back. We were told that many people make the same mistake but that we could follow the sign. The situation quickly became extremely dangerous: waist-deep snow, repeated falls, pitch-black night, and no way to see the trail. After wandering for over two hours, we called again. Two women tried to help us, but in the background, we could clearly hear the person in charge saying, "I worked all day to welcome them; they're on their own." We were even told that some had managed to find their way back... in four hours. Faced with the danger and the lack of any real assistance, we turned back. The result: nearly three hours of wandering in the middle of the night in extremely risky conditions. The most shocking thing was the lack of safety measures and clear signage, even though it's acknowledged that "many people get lost." A simple, small sign, visible from the start, at the barrier leading to the trail, clearly indicating that it wasn't the right path, would have been enough to avoid this situation. At no point did anyone check that we had made it back safely. We are extremely disappointed and especially shocked by the lack of prevention and consideration of the danger.

18/01/2026: I hadn't booked, but they still welcomed me and found me a quiet little spot. The "Thunderous Platter of Brest" was delicious!! Thank you so much for the warm welcome! So I walked 20km on the GR 34 and immediately replenished the calories I'd burned! That's Brittany for you!

26/01/2026: We had a wonderful family meal at La Truite, l'Illhausern. It was a fantastic discovery! The lunch menu is simply incredible: very generous portions, beautifully presented, and excellent value for money (around €19 for a starter, main course, and dessert). The food is delicious, plentiful, and prepared with care—you can tell the ingredients are fresh and expertly handled. The service is impeccable: warm, attentive, and quick without being rushed. A special mention goes to the lovely terrace, which offers a superb view of the surrounding countryside—a truly relaxing experience. It's a place where you feel comfortable, where the food is excellent, and where you'll want to return. I highly recommend it, especially for the lunch menu, which is a great deal. Well done to the whole team for this wonderful experience!

10/03/2026: Great little restaurant, we had a delicious meal made with excellent local produce. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Good value for money. If you're visiting the medical town of Pérouges, don't hesitate to eat there. In the summer, there's a lovely terrace; a tip: say thank you if you want to sit on the terrace.
