18/01/2026: My partner and Mother went to reserve beds on the beach whilst I wasn't there (I was the only French speaker of our party). The female staff once she discovered we were not sure if we were eating (as we were going to decide later) was so rude to my boyfriend and yelled at him saying he was rude because he didn't say hello and they were asked to leave. So we went next door where the staff were much nicer and we bought many drinks from them.

06/11/2025: A perfectly fresh sea bream, cooked on the griddle and filleted. Simple and delicious, which is often the best part. Enjoying the view of the sea from the lovely terrace. Attentive and friendly service.

28/02/2026: St Agnès is a charming village to visit, and a good place to stop for lunch is St Yves, where the welcome is warm and the homemade cuisine is very good and plentiful.

16/02/2026: If you take the time to look around, this establishment possesses a number of charms that inevitably draw me in once I've spotted it. It can be described as "charming" with its elegant facade, spacious dining room, and well-spaced tables with white tablecloths and napkins. And when the service is attentive and refined, and the dishes are delicious, with a particularly decadent dessert, you almost leave your table with regret, promising yourself to introduce this delightful restaurant to a friend.

09/03/2026: The meat wasn't cooked properly; I asked for it medium-rare and received it rare, almost blue.

04/03/2026: First visit to Main 2023 Restaurant in Plobsheim. Parking is easy. The building is clean and well-maintained on the outside. The interior is just as welcoming. It's clean, well laid out, and nicely decorated. Friendly service. The tarte flambée oven is in the dining room, so you can see how the tartes are prepared and baked. The menu features typical Alsatian dishes. The half tarte flambée is excellent. It's generously filled, the cheese is perfectly seasoned, and above all, it's cooked to perfection. The soft-boiled egg with sautéed mushrooms, marinated Alsatian poultry, poultry jus, and bacon crisps is also excellent. The bread is fresh. The Dame Blanche (vanilla ice cream sundae) for €7.70 is a real treat. It's enormous and delicious. An excellent place for tarte flambée. Second visit in February 2026 We were given two menus, and the two menus didn't have the same prices (for beer). The tarte flambée is still just as good, although the bacon could have been distributed a little better on the tart. The Dame Blanche isn't as big anymore; it's gone from €7.70 to €9.50, and it's still missing the chocolate sauce. The quality is still there, even if the prices have increased significantly in two years.

19/02/2026: An incredible experience at Le Petit Verdot for a dinner with friends in July. Hidé's welcome was exceptional, the meal a delight, and the wine selection outstanding. An address to keep secret, but not too secret.

03/02/2026: A triumphant return to this exceptional restaurant and to what used to be my neighborhood, just a stone's throw from the private mansion of the legendary Gérard Depardieu. Hide Ishizuka is a quintessential Japanese man, with an added bonus in my eyes: he was born in Hokkaido, a land of snow and fire. You either love it or you don't (some Americans who left a review were less enthusiastic: "Why am I not surprised?"). Personally, I love it. As a ceramicist, he transports me back to those small villages of the archipelago where genuine modesty and the truth of a millennia-old civilization are embodied in unforgettable people, people of great worth, poets and artists whose legacy is truly enduring. The dishes we tasted were flawless, especially the sweetbreads and the chestnut cream. And then, as always, we discovered a wine we hadn't yet encountered, such as this "southern" Syrah from the Roc des Anges estate. Rue du Cherche-midi remains highly safe to visit!

20/02/2026: A small wine bar where you can also, and especially, buy a bottle to take away; a wonderful little charcuterie and cheese platter, a super friendly welcome, and very helpful advice. A very pleasant little stop.

13/02/2026: A lovely glass of wine accompanied by fine charcuterie, but not only that. Extra virgin olive oil complemented some of the dishes. Thank you to the two young people who welcomed us so kindly.

01/03/2026: A truly wonderful discovery! Beautiful setting, excellent food, a great wine list, and very friendly service. The portions were finally reasonable for an Alsatian restaurant, allowing you to comfortably plan on having a starter, main course, and dessert.
