12/09/2026: We had a wonderful lunch at Bistronome on the terrace; the local beers were excellent, the market menu was fantastic, with daily specials not to be missed! The staff were incredibly friendly.

06/09/2026: This restaurant has an original concept: you sit on the terrace but no one will come to see you; you go to the bar, no one acknowledges you; you enter the dining room, and they tell you that someone will come by... we didn't know that you actually had to bring your own drinks and snacks...

18/07/2026: Absolutely top-notch! My favorite restaurant when I'm in Balaruc-les-Bains. The food is excellent, congratulations to the chef, they are welcoming, the homemade pastries are a delight, and the homemade sangria is the best I've ever had. Congratulations to all!

18/06/2026: Family run, rooms are very clean, the way they restored the room is delightful, the fixtures are high end, bed is very comfortable, food and wine excellent, try the local craft beer, lots of parking and the young lady managing everything is passionate and friendly. Good find in an otherwise slightly barren but bucolic area!

04/06/2026: The most helpful and wonderful people we met during our journey in France. Long story short: I injured my leg, and while driving back home, our car broke down near Ussel. As we urgently searched for a place to stay, we ended up at the Grand Hôtel—and it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. François helped us with absolutely everything: communicating with the workshop, finding local services, and, most importantly, providing us with a charming and comfortable place to stay. His kindness and support helped us cope with all the unexpected problems that suddenly came our way. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, the rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. To my mind this hotel could be a perfect base for exploring the beautiful surrounding region. A million thanks to François and the entire team for their hospitality, professionalism, and genuine care. We will never forget your help during a very difficult moment of our trip. Highly recommended!

03/10/2026: We had a family celebration, and the Auberge du Pont proved to be the perfect place, offering exceptional value for money. For €73 per person, we were all delighted with the "From Here and Elsewhere" menu, which included exquisite dishes interspersed with appetizers and other exquisite pre-desserts. Everything was served by an impeccable team in a refined and modern atmosphere. It rivals any 2- or even 3-star establishment.

17/09/2026: It's a privilege to be served by Daniela! Seated inside where the atmosphere is romantic with live singing heard over the speakers. Food was esthetic too! We had the seabream cappacio and duck breast to share. Maybe I should have reserved a table at the terrace to enjoy the live singing!

11/09/2026: We came here to try the local delicacy andouillette sausage. Not for the faint hearted, it’s pungent but yet chewy - probably a bit of mustard works to musk away the smell and digestive after. I’m happy to try but don’t think I will have this again.

26/08/2026: Lemon-flavored syrup served with something that wasn't lemon-flavored, made with bleached water, for €2.75. How do you expect to attract customers? I threw it away; it was undrinkable. It should be passed on to the other side; simpler, certainly, but honest.

22/08/2026: A place that feels a bit out of time, perfect for a relaxing break! Enjoyable tastings with delicious sweet and savory treats… Everything seems to be homemade with passion. We sampled some pastries (pictured) and left with chocolates. A very pleasant place. Courteous service.
