25/07/2026: A wonderful discovery in the 15th arrondissement! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great kindness and good cheer. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and unpretentious, exactly as you'd hope for in a true neighborhood bistro. You quickly feel at ease, almost like you're at home. The buffet-style menu is generous and allows you to sample several appetizers, main courses, cheeses, and desserts. The cuisine is home-style, flavorful, and prepared with fresh ingredients. Everything was delicious, well-cooked, and generously portioned. Special mention goes to the homemade dishes, which are reminiscent of good meals prepared with love and care. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The value for money is also excellent, especially in Paris, considering the variety offered and the generous portions. I had a wonderful time at La Cantine des Tontons and left satisfied and delighted. This is an authentic, friendly, and delicious place that I wholeheartedly recommend for sharing a great meal with friends, family, or colleagues. An experience that truly deserves its 5 stars! I will definitely be back.

08/06/2026: Excellent restaurant, in a quiet setting. Very good food. Generous dessert coffee. I highly recommend it. The chef comes to check on you to make sure everything is alright, which is worth mentioning because it's not common practice anymore. Be aware that you need to book in advance, otherwise it's full on the spot.

25/07/2026: The welcome was unusual but friendly if you're not too rough around the edges! The food was good and the place very welcoming. However, the charcuterie/cheese sharing platter was a bit of a letdown. There were four of us, and not enough slices for four people, which was a shame as we had to go without to leave some for the others. And considering the price, I think they could easily have added more...

25/07/2026: We visited here for lunch while exploring Annecy. The staff spoke mostly French, which was perfectly fine because we were able to get by in French, but I imagine it could be a little more challenging if you only speak English. The food was good, although the portions were a bit small for the price. That said, I think that's fairly typical for restaurants along the main tourist streets. We ordered two open-faced sandwiches, and both were very good. As we were finishing our meal, we noticed other tables ordering charcuterie boards, and they looked incredible. In retrospect, I think we would have enjoyed ordering one of those instead. The restaurant is located right beside the market, and they also have affiliated stalls out front selling what appeared to be their own cheeses and meats. Overall, it was a good experience. I just wish we had ordered something different.

30/07/2026: What a wonderful discovery this bistro was! It has a lovely terrace on a quiet street. I've never had such a delicious veal rump! They also have a great selection of wines from different regions and countries. Kudos to the staff for their kindness and professionalism, and to the chef as well. I'll be back!

25/07/2026: Excellent restaurant. The food is impeccable, especially the vegetarian dishes. The genuine generosity of an Italian restaurant is evident in both the food and the service; unpretentious yet everything is exceptionally well prepared.

24/07/2026: Kitchen-focused cuisine with a team that seems to truly enjoy serving delicious, inventive dishes in an approachable environment. French-Italian chef and pastry chef that perfectly combine fresh, ingredient focused cuisine with complex sauces. Renault and the service team were attentive without being stuffy, knowing exactly when to reappear to fill a glass or take away dishes. Highly recommended!
