20/10/2025: While passing through Saumur, we happened to have lunch there and it was a "good choice." Pleasant setting, attentive service, even if there was a bit of a delay between the starter and main course, but everything was well served and excellent for a €30 menu (starter, main course, dessert). An address to keep in my favorite restaurants.

We had anticipated our 30-minute delay, and they were very understanding. We highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area!

07/12/2025: A splendid place, after several visits to the bar with its sea view. One drawback: the waitress lacks patience. Customers are barely seated before she pounces to take their order and rushes to ask for payment. It's a shame about her lack of courtesy.

09/07/2025: This typical southwestern restaurant is excellent! The dishes are truly delicious; I've never been disappointed. We dined with a large group, and they managed without any waiting between courses! The service is impeccable; the servers are typical of their region: welcoming and friendly! The dishes are succulent, and their cassoulet is simply the best I've ever tasted. If you're looking for regional specialties, don't hesitate; you won't be disappointed.

The setting was nice, the staff were also friendly, but just be careful because the service is not professional, it's almost as if they snatch your plate from your hands before you've even finished it... or ask you to send the next course before you've even finished the starter.

05/04/2025: Good mussels, fries of some sort. Very friendly service despite errors and a little long, but there were people. Uninteresting lemon crepe. Fair prices.

10/07/2025: The food is good, refined and original. The only downside is the wait between each course and to get the bill, we felt forgotten at times... and the fact that we could hear the neighboring tables talking, so we didn't dare to talk too much among ourselves.

15/12/2024: No trip to Megève is complete for us without an evening at the Refuge du Calvaire. This is our ‘go to’ place for fondue and raclette. On our recent visit however we chose to have steaks and both the Chateaubriand filet and the Argentine Angus were superb. Desserts were delicious, especially the Crepe Suzette which was prepared at the table with all due drama. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and the welcome is genuine. A firm favourite of visitors and locals alike.

(Our fellow diners consisted of a large table of local mountain guides on a ‘works’ night out!) The fondue, raclette and other local dishes are delicious. Last evening, however, we chose to have steaks and both the ‘Chateaubriand’ filet and Argentine Angus were excellent. Desserts were amazing especially the Crèpe Suzette which was prepared with all due drama at the table. We eat at this restaurant regularly and recommend it highly.
