18/04/2026: I found the starter relatively good, although the cucumber ice cream was bland. The main course was truly tasteless, and the meat was rubbery and inedible. It was kindly replaced, but the replacement tasted like cardboard and had no flavor at all. The dishes could have been better seasoned. For dessert, the ice cream was unfortunately also tasteless... and I don't even have a cold! The price wasn't cheap! 73 euros for two...

03/05/2026: Everything was perfect, from the welcome to breakfast. The room with the large bed was very comfortable, and the evening meal was delicious (I thoroughly enjoyed the wild boar). The owner, who served us, was very friendly; it was a pleasure chatting with her. Excellent value for money.

14/04/2026: Excellent restaurant. I can confirm. Having been a regular for several years, I can attest that the ingredients are fresh and expertly prepared by Loïc (the chef), and the service is always impeccable thanks to Isabelle. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I recommend it 100%.

30/12/2025: Dinner on December 20, 2025. The welcome and service were excellent. The decor alone is an invitation to escape, with a special mention for the restrooms. The cuisine is inspired by travels, featuring flavors and aromas from outside France, but also distinctly French ingredients in a surprising and delicious contrast. Four of us at the table on a Saturday night, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lovers of classic cuisine: look elsewhere. Lovers of surprises, come on in, you won't be disappointed. For those who consider this restaurant mediocre, go to McDonald's and expect to be treated like you are.

05/10/2025: What a surprise awaited us behind this little cellar door... We entered by chance (but was it really a chance?) and were welcomed by a friendly and unusually kind woman. We tasted and then bought some liqueurs, and then left. We were so impressed by this encounter with Marie-Dominique that we returned at noon to eat a charcuterie board and spend some time with this extraordinary woman. Three hours and a few drinks later, we resigned ourselves to leaving this place with a heavy heart, but as we strolled around, we were eager to return...

We received a very warm welcome despite our late arrival (we arrived at 1:45 pm, even though service ended at 2 pm). The pizzas are excellent and generously topped, and the desserts are a real treat. The service was perfect: friendly, efficient, thank you for a wonderful experience. And the prices are very reasonable.

31/03/2026: A pleasant restaurant with a warm, very local atmosphere. You feel right at home enjoying the chef's delicious dishes. A splendid rib of beef to share with the family, served with homemade fries and peppercorn and béarnaise sauces. The portions were generous, but our sweet tooth led us to order dessert, the Picardy-style rabotte. A great choice—it was delicious! The service was quick and efficient; La Fontaine St Jean is a great place, and word gets around. Reservations are recommended.

18/04/2026: A bit disappointed by this restaurant, which was recommended to us by locals. The welcome was friendly, but the guacamole was leftover, the spritz very weak, and the sea bass delicious, but served with reheated rice. The high prices should reflect the quality, but that wasn't the case. The view is beautiful. Be aware that the terrace is sunny and there are no parasols at this time of year, making it very hot at midday. The complimentary limoncello helped to soften the blow of the bill and the disappointment.

17/04/2026: Wonderful relaxed dining, beautiful location, atmospheric decor with great food! Tasty starter with homemade tapenade. Slightly understaffed for busy periods, but if you're not in a rush, it's a great place to go out for dinner!

12/04/2026: A tasting of three different champagnes is highly recommended. The staff are welcoming, and the overall experience—on a calm Friday in April—feels pleasantly intimate. It should be noted that the wines served here do not originate from the village itself, but from a champagne house a few kilometres away. Nevertheless, the Blanc de Blancs is delightful and certainly worth recommending.
