The owner himself does the cooking and knows how to delight his guests. The service is both efficient and friendly, and the bill is very reasonable for the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

17/04/2026: A very pleasant dinner. The dishes were delicious and very generous. The wines by the glass were also excellent (from Portugal). The owners were extremely friendly. We will definitely return as soon as we have the chance!

11/05/2026: We discovered this tea room yesterday and it was a wonderful find. A warm and welcoming place, the owner is very kind. The pastries are excellent, made by her husband who is a pastry chef. The wild blueberry tart was delicious, and the strawberry cake was very good. We loved it and will definitely be back. A must-visit if you're in Bagnères (next to Aquensis).

Here, there are no pretenses, just genuine warmth, conviviality, and sharing. For lovers of local products: The wine selection is carefully curated, naturally showcasing the gems of the Jura region (Arbois, Pupillin, etc.). Pair it with a platter of local products (Comté cheese, charcuterie), and you'll be in paradise. The staff's welcome: Relaxed, straightforward service with always helpful advice. You immediately feel at ease, whether you're a local or just passing through after a visit to the Grandes Salines. The decor has been completely redone, adding a touch of modernity while preserving the rustic and unique charm of the place. This Jura restaurant is a real gem, ideal for both tourists and locals! 11/03/2026: It was our first time here (my son invited me for my birthday) and we were delighted to discover your restaurant. The buffet isn't huge (which is just as well) so that the food is fresh and prepared daily, but it's well-stocked enough to enjoy trying the different dishes. The plates are regularly replenished so you don't feel like there's a shortage or a lack of choice. The portions are modest, allowing you to order different things or go back for seconds. The food was simple and good. The dishes are classic; for something more original, you'll need to check out the magazine buffet or the desserts. One small suggestion for improvement (but this is very personal): I would have liked a second choice of vegetables (in addition to the zucchini gratin, which was very good), but my son was thrilled that there were several starch options (the mashed potatoes were delicious, by the way!). The dessert buffet was fantastic for those of us with a sweet tooth: cakes, fresh fruit salad, biscuits for coffee, creams... Everything is designed to make ending the meal a truly enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this establishment for a simple, tasty, and generous meal!

25/04/2026: Tourist trap. Overcooked mussels, tiny bull steak, extra charge if you order fougasse for dessert... The Roquefort sauce on the mussels is watered down.

08/05/2026: Our French friends introduced us to this little restaurant with its typical Lyonnais menu, in a lovely atmosphere. The staff was very friendly, and my partner and I were eager to discover Lyonnaise cuisine: mission accomplished, we were delighted! The St-Marcellin crisp was good and flavorful, although I've had better elsewhere. The pike quenelle was excellent, but served with simple white rice… a somewhat disappointing side dish. On the other hand, the pork belly on cervelle de canut… wow! Absolutely delicious! We loved it! A must-try! The Lyonnaise sausage was a little less impressive: the sausage was a bit stiff, and the side dish was ordinary. As for desserts, we were particularly impressed: the crème caramel and the praline tart were delicious! The chocolate fondant was a real treat! The menu is a bit pricey. We realize that restaurant prices in France have increased a lot compared to before… unfortunately!

18/03/2026: Located in the Vaugueux district, a tourist magnet, this establishment is a little haven that escaped bombing in 1944. The houses are very typical of what existed before '44. And to my great surprise, I really enjoyed this restaurant; I'd even say it reconciled me with this neighborhood, which, as I mentioned, is a tourist trap. The service is truly impeccable, the waiters are friendly, and it's a really nice, quiet, yet welcoming place to relax. The place is beautifully decorated and quite spacious, remaining very calm even when busy. Parking is rather difficult, but since it's a touristy area, it's always a pleasant place to stroll and end up at this restaurant. It's located at the foot of the castle, on a pedestrian street.
