19/04/2026: Probably the best meal I have ever had. Wonderful service and atmosphere

18/04/2026: I Came back to this small family restaurant 4 years later. Menu changes often to the fresh products that are up to the season. Selection of dishes is limited and we hoped for a fish dish, but there were many with meat and luckily one with scallops. Ordered foie gras as a starter and it was divine! For the main I took scallops which were very good with a veggie side. My mom had veal with potatoes gratin. The veal was way too chewy for her, I finished it for her. I liked it but would prefer it was more tender as well. Potatoes gratin was super though. For desert we had apple crumble and it was delicious! I would add a scoop of ice cream to compliment it. One sediment of the evening was the price of the wine which we saw on the bill only. 14€ per glass of white wine! We didn’t choose it through menu. At the beginning of the evening the owner asked which wine we would like and we sad white and dry. And 3 glasses later we saw the price for it. Learning for me - to always ask the price from now on. And I would suggest to let customers know ahead what are the options of wines with prices. I am not an expert so i couldn’t appreciate it if the wine was some exquisite one for such a price. Other than that I would love to come back and taste future menus.

11/03/2026: Pleasant welcome and service. If you like tartare, this is the perfect place. This brasserie specializes in beef tartare. Very good wines. A wonderful discovery and a great time on the sunny terrace.

23/04/2026: Extremely unpleasant waitress!!!! From the moment we arrived, she gave us a very poor welcome, making inappropriate remarks about our stroller, which she clearly found bothersome. Her colleague was welcoming and tried to offer us tables so we could be comfortably seated with the stroller. But she intervened to say it wasn't possible, in a rather unpleasant manner 🤷🏻‍♀️… we decided to leave because of this reception! It's a shame because the food is good, but this waitress is driving customers away!!

26/04/2026: My first experience at this café was mixed. A very long wait for a very basic order… the coffee was mediocre and the matcha was undrinkable, over-concentrated, and far too bitter. A real shame.

21/04/2026: The terrace is sunny, right by the road, but that's not a big deal because the view is lovely. The coffee is very good and the welcome is friendly. Right next door there's a small secondhand shop whose profits go to animal welfare organizations.

17/04/2026: A fantastic experience at La Taverne Alsacienne! We went as a family with our daughter Lou, and everything went perfectly. She had ham and fries and loved it, which is always a good sign 😄 My wife chose a veal escalope with cream sauce, and I had a baeckeoffe: a real treat! The dishes were generous and delicious, with typical Alsatian flavors. Special mention for the service, which was impeccable: quick, friendly, and professional. We highly recommend it 👍

12/04/2026: The setting is really nice and the service very good. As for the food, the foie gras was a great success. The poultry and sauce were very good, but the side dishes—simple crunchy vegetables, not even steamed—are very average for a meal at this price. The desserts were expensive and nothing special, lacking in flavor. In short, we ate well, but not worth €180 for two (including aperitifs and glasses of wine).

24/04/2026: Passing through the area, we stopped at this very quiet little bar/restaurant. In the shade of the trees, we enjoyed a delicious meal accompanied by the friendly owners. They offer only one set menu, a guarantee of fresh, local produce. Don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.

21/02/2026: Excellent meal from start to finish, very warm welcome and impeccable service throughout, minimal waiting time between courses, and live piano music creating an incredible atmosphere. One of the best restaurant experiences of my life!
