07/08/2026: One star. A very disappointing and unfair experience. We ordered the €21 set menu with dessert, then were charged an extra €15 because the dessert served was apparently not the "dessert of the day." No one had informed us that it wasn't included in the set menu or that there would be an extra charge. If this had been made clear, we would have simply chosen the included dessert. The service was opaque and very disappointing.

16/07/2026: Invited as part of a "My Free Restaurant" promotion. Excellent and generous portions, as usual. However, when I got to the till to pay for the coffees, the employee tried to charge me for the meals because she wasn't aware they were included in the "My Free Restaurant" offer. She had already charged other customers and had to call them back! Then, she asked me for €12 for three coffees! When I told her that was expensive, she replied, "Uh, €6," in an annoyed and unfriendly tone. In short, incompetent and unpleasant. Frankly, you should retrain your staff because this is quite deplorable.

06/08/2026: A truly beautiful place! Whether under the large interior glass roof (very cool, even in the middle of summer) or on the terrace, which offers a real escape from the city, the setting is extremely pleasant. The selection of starters is excellent, and the main courses are just as good and very generous. The table service is top-notch, with friendly, responsive waiters and minimal waiting. The only downside was the welcome. It was the complete opposite of the rest of the experience: cold and unfriendly. The person at the entrance, seated at the counter, preferred to finish what she was doing on her phone before attending to us, then continued checking her messages while escorting us to our table. A real disconnect from the rest of the meal.

09/08/2026: A wonderful discovery at L’O à la Bouche in Le Cheylard! A lovely little terrace, peaceful and surrounded by greenery, a truly pleasant place to enjoy a delicious meal. The meal was excellent, with flavorful and well-prepared dishes. The service was also impeccable: welcoming, friendly, and professional. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. We highly recommend this place!

09/08/2026: We came on Sunday at lunchtime and tried the Ardèche menu. The dishes were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the 8-hour braised beef chuck; it's truly exquisite, the meat is incredibly tender, and you can tell the chef knows his stuff. The desserts are also fantastic, and we even got a birthday candle on my wife's dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant; the waitresses are very friendly.

04/07/2026: I arrived at the parking lot on Saturday at 1:00 PM. It was closed, without any warning. I don't know, maybe it's open on weekdays.

03/07/2026: A great lunch stop on our recent bike tour. Fabulous buffet followed by hearty plats du hour and desserts. Recommended if you're passing.

27/07/2026: Very good service. They were busy but attentive. Food was pretty good and recently while priced. Beautiful setting sitting outside the Château and right next to the gardens. Very well shaded. A really enjoyable lunch after the tour.

25/07/2026: Disastrous. Besides being bad, I was able to eat my meal 20 minutes later than my husband. Three times the food was sent back to the kitchen for cooking issues (the duck was served rare), with no apology... no seasoning, in short, far too expensive for what it was! Since the change of ownership, it's been a freefall... and a little smile would be appreciated.

20/08/2026: The bar closes at 1:30 a.m. It's 3:50 a.m., and for the last two hours I've been unable to sleep because of what I presume to be the staff who stayed in the bar after closing time. They are making a mess like a bunch of screeching animals, playing loud music, singing and drunkenly yelling. Absolutely unbothered by the fact that the bar is situated in a densely inhabited area, during hot weather when everyone has to sleep with their windows open. I understand that I live in the centre of Strasbourg and above a bar, but this is simply unacceptable. The police are apparently unbothered, and I don't feel particularly positive about going downstairs to talk to a bunch of drunk guys in the middle of the night.

14/08/2026: We recovered after a long day of walking with two excellent beers. Recommended.
