17/02/2026: This restaurant was the highlight of our holiday. They really know how to cook! We arrived without a reservation for the Valentine's Day menu. The lady gave us a very warm welcome, and despite our limited French, we managed just fine. The wine was delicious, and the beer was great too. The food was fantastic! The croustillon was especially amazing. I found the restaurant through Google and would have easily driven past it otherwise. You shouldn't have! We would have loved to go back, but unfortunately, they were closed the next day. This restaurant is definitely one of the reasons we'll be returning to the region. Thank you!

18/02/2026: The restaurant owners are very welcoming; you can really taste the North in the food and the friendliness of the waitress. My only complaint is that it's a shame this place is a bit removed from the center of Ambrières, or even the Mayenne region. But I highly recommend you go and try their simple, efficient, and family-style menu, which is typically Northern French. Reservations for Sunday are essential... The price-quality ratio (€20-€30 for a starter, main course, and dessert) is very good, and everything is homemade... Go and discover this charming little place!

03/03/2026: A restaurant just the way I like them: authentic, very generous lunches, unpretentious home-style cooking. This is my second visit and I hope it won't be my last. Reservations are recommended.

24/02/2026: The interior is rather cute, but the exterior is borderline unsanitary. Frozen fries, canned green beans, processed desserts... a waitress who doesn't listen when you speak to her and doesn't even respond, while the gentleman is very pleasant. In short, it's not worth the detour. What a shame.

10/12/2025: The two stars are only for the waiter, who was friendly. But for the rest... The food was tasteless, and the service was appalling. We had to wait an hour and a half between the appetizer and the main course. They had forgotten about us... And they were unable to rectify the situation (there were only two of us). The manager was unpleasant and brought us the dish while grumbling, simply because he was, and I quote, "unhappy with the service"... It's definitely not worth the exorbitant price!

10/02/2026: Coffee was €3.50, while our meal (set menu plus wine) cost €617.50 for 10 people. In other restaurants, it's free or at least €2.40 maximum. And here they offer us free brandy or génépi!

25/02/2026: We only tried the restaurant. It had a lovely, old-fashioned, family atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive, the menu was generous and appetizing, featuring quality ingredients. Children are welcome and can enjoy the outdoor area. Parking is easy. We'll be back this summer to enjoy the terrace and the pool.

You don't expect to find cuisine of this caliber when you walk through the door… The menu was absolutely divine: flavorful, perfectly balanced dishes, beautifully presented and prepared with high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a delight. You can taste the passion and expertise in the kitchen. The service was equally remarkable: warm, friendly, and attentive… You truly feel welcomed with kindness. And the value for money is simply incredible for such an experience. An address I wholeheartedly recommend—we'll be back very soon!
