Excellent meal that meets all the criteria for a proper lunch before heading back to work. The only slight improvement would be the variety of cold appetizers on the buffet. I'll definitely be back as soon as I have the chance!

25/02/2026: Hello, I recommend this restaurant in Bléré. The food is excellent, with a view of the Cher River. The owners, Marie and Nico, are very welcoming and pleasant. The prices are reasonable, there's a buffet of appetizers and desserts, and the food is good. We always have a great time there. Thank you, Marie and Nico. I highly recommend it! And I wanted to mention that the restaurant was taken over two years ago because before, the food wasn't great! Now, there's no doubt about it; the food and the restaurant are perfect, and the owners are very pleasant.

30/10/2025: Choralies every three years and we're always warmly welcomed. If we lived in Vaison, we'd be regular customers for the friendly service, the quality of the food, and the overall atmosphere of the establishment.

01/02/2026: We booked the entire restaurant for a birthday celebration and we were delighted. The buffet was delicious, the staff were incredibly attentive, and the dining room was perfect for the occasion! I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the excellent service and warm welcome.

01/03/2026: Dinner at the restaurant in the evening, seats very close together. Our opinion of the meal is very mixed. The seafood platter was acceptable. The main courses: the scallops were borderline and could have been frozen, given their size (4 scallops, but they were no more than 2). The seafood sauerkraut was very dry (probably reheated for too long under a chafing dish). The dessert: the profiteroles were a complete disaster (frozen, industrially produced choux pastries, waterlogged and undercooked, with transparent vanilla ice cream). In short, don't rely on the rating given, because this restaurant was really not worth it. We do not recommend it.

27/02/2026: No room, but we've been regulars at Le Querrien for four years, and unfortunately, the quality has declined significantly. A quick dusting to remove the thick layer on the oars and the hanging cobwebs wouldn't go amiss. The service was okay, although it's not the same standard as before. As for the food, the fish and chips was just cheap, breaded fish, the beurre blanc sauce wasn't thickened, and the vegetables were probably frozen. It's a shame because it's a very nice establishment that deserves to return to the level it was at two years ago.

05/03/2026: March 2026: Disrespectful and Completely Inappropriate Behavior I returned to Le Bateau d’Émile for lunch with several colleagues to mark a departure. To our great surprise, the chef took it upon himself to tell me, with rare nonchalance and insolence, that he “didn’t think he’d see me again,” that he “didn’t care if I didn’t come back,” and that I could “go eat across the street.” This type of remark is simply unacceptable in an establishment open to the public. Beyond the complete lack of business sense, it is above all the disrespect in tone and attitude that is shocking. My colleagues, who witnessed the scene, were just as stunned as I was by this behavior. As a result, not only will I not return, but they have also decided to no longer frequent this establishment. It's true that you can sometimes get away with this kind of attitude when you have a location with little competition… but that in no way excuses such a lack of respect for customers. Clearly, this doesn't seem to bother the owner. November 2025: I've been a regular customer of the restaurant since it opened… I negotiated with the owner to skip dessert and get a free beer instead (€5 a pint)… in the end, she changed her mind and offered me a free coffee… not very honest and especially not very customer-friendly when you know the markups on food versus alcohol… so I'll pass… giving my money to such unscrupulous people? No thanks. I'll go across the street!

A big thank you to Louis and Andy for their attentiveness, recommendations, and kindness, which made each visit even more enjoyable. 27/02/2026: This is our favourite restaurant in Le Tréport, the food is always superb, staff friendly and the decoration is refined. What we really love is that they accept well behaved dogs and our 2 get treated so well there. We’d booked a table yesterday and when we arrived the manager shows us to a quiet table where the dogs can relax whilst we ate. This is much appreciated. Food yesterday was divine. The 27€ menu didn’t disappoint, seafood starter, fish soup then fresh cod and a fish pie both of which were delicious followed by a superb crème brûlée and a homemade chocolate mousse. It’s not a rushed meal, some might describe the service as slow but for us the pace was perfect, I hate it when a course is cleared away and the next course arrives immediately.
