29/08/2025: We ate there on a Friday lunchtime at the end of August. Super friendly staff, hearty, quality meal at a more than reasonable price (unlike the restaurants on the main street). I recommend it.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and Amar and Karim are truly hospitable. The dishes are homemade, high-quality, and beautifully presented—you'll want to come back again and again!

04/08/2024: Very good restaurant. Ideally located at the foot of Puy de Dôme. The busy road next door cannot be heard at all, even on the terrace. The dishes are very good and plentiful. Very good value for money too.

06/09/2024: Sono venuto a pranzo con due colleghi di lavoro. Ci siamo seduti nella sala appena all'interno perché fuori faceva caldo. Abbiamo preso due ottime uova tartufate e un piatto di fois gras. Il piatto forte è il polpo! Morbido, croccante, ben accompagnato. Per finire una deliziosa mousse al cioccolato. Veramente un ristorante in cui tornare.

20/09/2024: What a disappointment we experienced at this establishment a few years ago, and nothing compares. Everything has become very average: the service, the quality of the food, the price of the wines... As part of a gift (€150 box), only 1 starter, 1 main course, and 1 dessert imposed by the management! We've never seen anything like that, and the icing on the cake is that they charge €1 per person for parking without asking if we came by car, not to mention the management's enormous dog that wanders around the reception area. Value for money well below the bill.

17/09/2024: For my parents' wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate this special moment at the Écu de France, and what a wonderful choice! The establishment exceeded all our expectations: the food was exceptional, the interactions with the managers warm, the service impeccable, not to mention the enchanting setting that completely transported us. We had a fantastic time, and the dishes delighted all palates. A huge congratulations to the entire team!

25/08/2024: Je modifie mon précédent avis car depuis et je remercie Mr Simon, on nous a contacté pour s'excuser de l'oublie du gâteau d'anniversaire. Au final, les plats sont toujours bons, le service (en semaine) pauvre mais nous y retournerons pour donner une autre chance à cet établissement qui, je pense, le mérite.

24/09/2024: Hervorragendes Essen: einfache Zutaten einfallsreich kombiniert, perfekt abgeschmeckt und angerichtet. Dazu gute Weine und ein zuvorkommender Service der Gastgeberin. Alles zu sehr (zu) moderaten Preisen.
