03/05/2026: So, I was very disappointed with my first time trying to eat a traditional Lyonnais snack (machon). The prices were outrageous, ridiculously expensive for dishes presented in a very casual, unpretentious way. We didn't even have dessert. The starter, a lentil salad with snouts, had absolutely no flavor, as the vinaigrette dressing completely overpowered everything. And the carafe of wine was even worse... the main course was incredibly dry ham hock served without any sauce. In short, a final bill of €50 per person for barely any food.

02/05/2026: Anyone who doesn't eat a mâchon isn't from Lyon! The food is good, but there's nothing truly Lyonnais about this mâchon. It's more of a menu for "hipsters or tourists." Don't go there for the waitress's smile either. Very pleasant atmosphere.

The friendly, warm, and professional welcome; the precise yet relaxed service; the extraordinarily inventive cuisine, both in textures and flavors; and the wine pairings that enhance both. The only slight drawback (which doesn't deduct a star) is the slightly too loud music.

01/05/2026: It was an absolutely delightful experience. We opted for the €39 set menu: soup, starter, main course, cheese, and dessert. The duck was of exceptional quality, the potatoes were succulent, the service very pleasant… a warm and welcoming place, full of character, flair, and charm. A place to taste France. Come with excitement and anticipation!

02/03/2026: This is a restaurant! Homemade products, a rare find, very rare indeed, quality meat – you can immediately tell this isn't some cheap, local bargain! In short, if you want to eat well at a reasonable price, you have to go there!

27/04/2026: I'm changing my review because arriving at 1 p.m. on a Sunday at the beginning of the season and hearing (the manager, that's what we called him) tell us, "Whoa, you didn't book, it's packed today with this sun, I won't have a table before 2 p.m., and even then, maybe next time." The problem is that the season is just starting, so if the manager is already fed up, he's in for a long haul. And no next time either.

01/05/2026: We went there on May 1st. We had a wonderful meal; the plates were generous with quality ingredients and the food was excellent, not to mention the warm welcome from the staff and the top-notch service. A very pleasant restaurant. We will definitely be back.

26/04/2026: Arrived this Sunday, April 26th, at 4:40 PM. Friendly welcome. Upon checking into the room, there was a musty smell. Very hot. I turned on the air conditioning, nothing. Just hot air. I complained to reception, and the response was: "It's only hot, the air conditioning is broken! But it will be cooler tomorrow." Really? But the credit card terminal is working fine. I filled the bathtub to cool off. After 10 minutes, half the water was gone. The plug is completely worn out. The credit card terminal is still working. Three stars? Probably just for show. Once bitten, twice shy. Goodbye Campanile. A review is coming soon, given my profession.

23/04/2026: We had an excellent birthday party: excellent meal, very friendly atmosphere, and very professional staff.

22/04/2026: A perfect experience! The starter was delicious (a succulent and very flavorful pumpkin soup!), followed by grilled baby squid, also very tasty and all-you-can-eat!! So, a big thank you to the chef 😊. And for the service, a big thank you to the waitress who was very pleasant! So, in short, I highly recommend it!
