22/12/2025: A huge thank you to the team for accommodating 20 people at the last minute. The meal and service were excellent.

10/11/2025: Astounding, in the worst possible way. A "Master Restaurateur" plaque for dishes containing frozen ingredients is a disgrace, a disgrace to the profession. As for the food, we ordered fish dishes with vegetables, none of which tasted as expected since they were frozen. The fish was salty, the skin was limp, and the flesh was mushy (QED for frozen). The fries, advertised as "homemade," were pale, all the same size and color, and mushy—they didn't lie! The only positive thing about the dish was the mashed potatoes. This establishment clearly doesn't hide the fact that its dishes are overpriced for the quality served… No, I'm not paying €24 for a dish where two-thirds of my plate comes straight from the freezer; otherwise, I'd stay home. The service was fine… apparently, having menus with the desserts is too complicated. A poster at the end of the room (an A4 sheet in 15-point font) lists the desserts, which the waitress asked us to read with a "good luck," half the table having their backs to the poster. This isn't even something you should offer customers… especially since, after seeing our faces, she suggested moving the menu closer. When paying, we shared our comments and our disappointment. They replied that they were surprised we thought they were serving frozen food and that the information would be passed on to the chef. Let's be clear, let's be honest, this reaction doesn't deny they use frozen food. Good luck.

25/10/2025: The food was very good and the service impeccable. The crepe menu offers inexpensive options alongside traditional dishes. There's a lack of classic desserts beyond crepes and ice cream. We'll be back.

12/10/2025: We had a wonderful, fun, and incredibly delicious evening. Thank you so much. A wonderful, rustic atmosphere, delicious food, and first-class service. The staff is very attentive, helpful, funny, and friendly. The chef even went so far as to bring home my requested digestif from his own private stock – AWESOME! The whole package is highly recommended.

10/03/2026: A delightful surprise! The Mercure Hotel recommended this restaurant to me during a business trip. The Bistrot Basque in Caen is well worth a visit: generous portions, flavorful ingredients, beautifully presented. My fellow diners seemed to be enjoying themselves just as much. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without being noisy. The wine list features several wines from the Southwest (the Madiran lives up to expectations). Special mention goes to the servers, and especially to the young woman who looked after my table—discreet, smiling, and efficient.

08/03/2026: A casual, friendly restaurant! Enjoy a basket of chips and peanuts as an appetizer, an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet, a homemade main course, cheese, and dessert. Unlimited red and white wine is included, along with jokes and anecdotes from the waiter. Reservations are required, and don't forget to knock on the window to be let in!

20/03/2026: A spectacular place. The food was delicious and of very high quality. We were very impressed with the wine tasting by the glass system, and if we return to Bordeaux, it will definitely be a place we visit again.

01/02/2026: A superb welcome. We were tired after a long day and stumbled upon this brasserie quite by chance. We weren't disappointed at all. We felt like we weren't at the foot of Montmartre, far from being a tourist trap; it felt like being with friends 😊.

The Auberge du Mehrbächel offered us an authentic and welcoming setting for one of the most beautiful days of our lives. Thanks to meticulous planning, we were able to fully enjoy every moment without the slightest stress. The preparation beforehand was exemplary: professionalism, attention to detail, and a caring team that perfectly adapted to our wishes. The dinner will remain etched in our memories and those of our guests: farm-fresh products, refined and generous local cuisine, enhanced by the chef's expertise. The flavors, presentation, and quality were impeccable and contributed to making our evening a true feast. A huge thank you to the entire team and the Kornacker family: you were the cornerstone of this wonderful wedding weekend. We wholeheartedly recommend the Auberge du Mehrbächel: this place is a gem, and we will happily return to relive some of this magic!

09/07/2025: This is the best restaurant in Belleville. In fact I don't think I have ever visited a better one anywhere. Yes, there are more sophisticated, more expensive, more polished places here. But nothing this good. The food is simple, honest, wonderfully cooked, and very reasonably priced. The team, front and back of house, are friendly and welcoming. The clientele is principally local, and loyal.

05/03/2026: My usual crêperie was full, and I stumbled upon this timeless restaurant tucked away in a courtyard near the Quimper train station. Everything seems frozen in the 80s/90s: spacious tables, period decor, a welcoming waiter with his lanyard draped over his arm, a wine list binder with photos and descriptions of the wines and their producing regions, Tavel served in an ice bucket with glasses regularly refilled 😳 The food is simple, homemade, and delicious. Wines are reasonably priced and mostly available by the half-bottle. A very pleasant surprise that I will gladly return to.

16/01/2026: Le Patio is a restaurant that deserves to be better known. Almost invisible from the main avenue near the train station, it's tucked away in a small courtyard (hence the name "Patio") and you have to pass under an archway to reach it. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and inviting, thanks in large part to the yellow color scheme and the wooden furniture. We were greeted by a gentleman, a most charming and pleasant man. His attire was impeccable: black trousers, a white shirt, a black waistcoat, and a bow tie. You'd think you were in a grand Parisian or Lyonnaise brasserie. I complimented him on that! As for the food, it's all fresh and prepared on-site, with about five or six appetizers to choose from, two daily specials: one fish of the day, one meat of the day, and about five or six desserts, including a cheese plate. The prices for the meal, aperitifs, and wine list are very reasonable... Don't go there to show off; you won't be seen from the station avenue. Go there to enjoy a pleasant time around a lovely, home-style table, in a warm and peaceful setting, with impeccable service. I absolutely recommend it and will return on my next trip to Quimper.

The decor is striking, both simple and rustic, yet colorful; it's the perfect place to put the world to rights with colleagues, friends, or family! The welcome is warm and friendly! In short, you'll feel right at home and eat wonderfully! Be sure to book ahead, as this place is very popular!
