08/09/2026: Great atmosphere, beautiful decor, and an original sandbox concept! The service was welcoming, although a little slow. The food was good without being exceptional, and the poke bowl was a bit small. A special mention for the Kontiki Passion cocktail!

07/09/2026: For the past four years, we have been loyal customers of this restaurant, partly because of the quality of the food, but honestly because of the kindness of our head waiter, who delights us every year with his warm welcome and smile. We even asked if we could watch our team's rugby match, and he did everything he could to make it happen. Thank you again for everything, and see you next year!

29/08/2026: A very pleasant terrace overlooking the Sarthe river, quick service, and delicious crêpes and galettes at a reasonable price. Plus, the waiter was friendly and welcoming, which is becoming rare these days. 😉

03/10/2026: We came back because the food last year was amazing, but sadly this time it was a completely different experience. The food didn’t taste fresh and none of us could finish our meals. Even the kids were served almost black, burnt fries — our child actually asked how anyone could serve fries like that. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, with just one person serving and one cook, and the service really suffered. When we mentioned our disappointment, it unfortunately wasn’t taken very seriously. Such a shame after the wonderful experience we had last year.

06/09/2026: Huge disappointment. I came in July and everything was very good. But last night... a disaster! The Caesar salad was just a pile of lettuce thrown onto the plate, surrounded by bits of chicken, eight shavings of Parmesan (yes, I counted them!), and a completely uninteresting dressing. The Landes salad wasn't any better. The roasted Camembert was completely lumpy and thick, and my partner was sick all night. The children's menu was good. We stopped there and didn't even try the desserts. Too bad, I'm not sure I'll go back.

02/08/2026: At the suggestion of the funeral home, we came to the golf course bistro for a buffet lunch following my mother's funeral on July 31, 2026, to gather our loved ones. I organized it beforehand, remotely (as I was on vacation in the southeast at the time), with Charly, who offered me a private room for 40 people (rental €150). We reviewed the buffet details together, and I asked if it would be possible to have dessert. He suggested some petits fours to complement the meal (€20 per person in total). He was incredibly helpful, impeccably professional, and showed great care during this difficult time. I am very grateful to him—even though I went to do it in person at the end of the afternoon. I also really appreciated being relieved of this task, since once the venue was paid for, I didn't have to call or worry about anything else. Everything was ready and beautifully arranged on serving carts (mixed platters, bread, pastries, various wines, water, and fruit juice). We were able to enjoy the venue from noon to 4 p.m. in complete privacy. The staff at the bar and outside the venue were truly very friendly. We know we can count on a warm welcome at this venue, whatever the event. Thank you again 😊

15/09/2026: I've been coming to La Joue for a long time and had never tried the food at this restaurant. I only ever got pizzas to go. I was first charmed by the warm welcome I received. Then, once I got home, we were able to enjoy the pizzas. And we thoroughly enjoyed them, thank you so much, absolutely perfect! 👍

26/08/2026: While passing through the area, we had the pleasure of discovering this restaurant this evening, and what a delightful surprise! Everything was excellent, from the Savoyard fondue with porcini mushrooms—a real discovery for us—to the delicious chocolate mousse. The service was also impeccable, welcoming, and attentive. A truly wonderful experience that we recommend without hesitation!

27/08/2026: A lovely little spot, a welcome respite from the heatwave... Simple, local cuisine prepared by the chef... Just for the taste alone, I suggest you try the ham and cheese omelet to see for yourself what a great place it is: Fabien is a "perfect omelet expert" and the menu is very reasonably priced. It's a fantastic spot in Old Nice. 😜👍😊
