01/03/2026: The service was pleasant, but we were unfortunately disappointed by the food. The starters were good and fresh. Then, the main courses were a letdown: the meat was tough and the fish wasn't particularly to our liking. Furthermore, the portions were rather small. The dessert improved things somewhat, but it wasn't anything special either. So, in our opinion, the value for money was disappointing.

A minor complaint: the meat advertised as tournedos was actually chuck roast, the kind used for pot-au-feu, and of course, it was very fatty. I find that unacceptable. The price was excessive, and the fries weren't crispy, which is also unacceptable. Disappointed.

21/03/2026: We went to this restaurant today as a family of seven. The place was not full, but we were told to wait for an hour. We kindly offered a simple solution by splitting into two tables (3 and 4 people), yet the manager responded in an extremely rude and dismissive way. Instead of trying to help, his attitude made us feel like we were being pushed out simply because of our group size. This was very disappointing, especially as a family with children. A restaurant should be welcoming and flexible, but unfortunately, this was the opposite. I would not recommend this place to families or tourists looking for a pleasant dining experience.

23/03/2026: Nice stop, beautiful village, the food was tasty. The only thing that bothered me a bit was how the waiter handled the kitchen door; I think the chef got a huge fright every time.

27/02/2026: Wednesday, February 18. It was a rainy day, but that just made it all the more special. I met some wonderful new people, and it was such a great way to spend the day! And just an amazing evening before departure! 9:00 p.m. - 10:40 p.m. I really wish we had left a bigger tip! When we asked about the specials, the waiter kindly brought the chalkboard with the specials written on it to our table. He could have sent us over to it. And I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to this man for being so kind, for joking with us, and for being so friendly. And it was the best risotto I've ever tasted. I'm sorry if I seemed a bit doubtful about my friends' choice. I'm usually used to something a bit more... well, dry. It was just what we needed after a long, rainy day of walking. It was just what we needed. I'm already looking forward to going back and doing it again. And the beer selection is pretty good, too.

15/03/2026: We came in February for a relaxing break with a one-hour spa treatment and a one-hour massage. We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely setting, the remarkable kindness of the two estheticians who looked after us, and the perfect massage they gave us—one of the best we've ever had. Highly recommended.

12/03/2026: We didn't try the hotel as we live nearby. However, I really love the spa; it's large, clean, and offers a truly relaxing and restful experience. Sauna, hammam, showers, and a swimming pool are all there. The staff is always smiling and helpful. The relaxation room is superb, with armchairs, water, herbal tea, and lemonade. I'm going to try the treatments soon... Furthermore, the La Garenne restaurant is equally fabulous, with a simple menu, flavorful dishes, and beautiful presentation. The menu features the entire team, which I really appreciate. It's a recognition of those who work there and a testament to their human touch. Thank you for delighting us every time with your thoughtful gestures, warm welcome, and smiles.
