02/10/2024: The young man at the reception of our hotel recommended the restaurants of the pretty Place des Esclafidous with its small central fountain.
The Magnolias restaurant was the first that we tried the evening of our arrival in Nîmes.
The young waitress who welcomed us was efficient and very pleasant.
We chose the starter + main course + dessert menu at €39.
The dishes served were quite good and well presented but we were surprised to have to pay €1 extra per carafe of filtered water.
During our stay in Nîmes, it was the only establishment that we saw practicing this not very commercial measure.
23/09/2024: Very nice, small and personal restaurant with delicious food. When the weather is nice, there is an outdoor area protected from the wind and sun. The service was very attentive, super friendly and advised us on our selection. Menu available in French, English and Spanish.

19/10/2024: Nice and friendly place. The food is delicious. Impeccable service. And the atmosphere is good. I was passing through and if I'm passing through again, I'll make a stop. For dessert, I had a chocolate cake, a marvel.

17/09/2024: The fish and the cuisine are great. The chef is very nice and he cooks before your eyes! The only downside for me is too much light inside, I would have preferred a more subdued atmosphere for dinner with my other half. We had a great time though.
14/09/2024: The sellers were lovely, especially the man at the stall who gave good advice and prepared a seafood platter for us in 10 minutes.
It was excellent!

Le repas était vraiment délicieux. Le ceviche de poisson est une merveille et le poulpe caramélisé cuit à la perfection. Bravo le chef !
Tout était parfait dans ce repas de midi y compris le service ! Personnel attentionné et souriant. Nous y reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Very good (country) bistro for lunch, you can also buy a scratch ticket or even your cigarettes because the place is also a tobacco bar.
Catherine the boss welcomes you warmly, she is attentive to her customers, she loves her job, and it shows!
The food is very good, the plates are generous and the value for money is unbeatable.
The dishes are homemade, with seasonal products and especially local products such as the beaten maroilles cake which is a treat.
You can go there with your eyes closed. Thank you again for this delicious moment at your home!

Warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere.
And a very big positive point for adapting dishes to food intolerances. “I took that away from you, but I added this and that.” An attention that one would expect to have during a family meal.
We can only recommend the place.
