28/07/2026: Stopped here for lunch while mooching around Nancy. What a little gem we stumbled upon. The staff were so friendly, asked us if we wanted some colouring things for our toddler and some small toys, very thoughtful. The menu was small but quality which we will take anyday. We had the melon gaspacho to start (our three year old demolished it!!) then my husband had the beef tartare, delicious but slightly on the spicy side and I had the pasta with pesto, ham and burrata salad. All ingredients were incredibly fresh & tasty. We asked for an extra plate for our son to share my dish and it wasn't a problem. There were some banging tunes also coming from the kitchen which made us smile because they clearly enjoying their craft. Lovely lovely place.

03/08/2026: We ordered the whole menu here and it was perfect! The roast chicken was so juicy and delicious. I did not know asparagus could be as delicious as they are here. Their service was also amazing!!!! 100% returning here

17/05/2026: A very pleasant little getaway. The receptionist was very friendly, and the hotel is located near the pedestrian street, 100 meters from the beach casino. The hotel is in a charming building.

21/02/2026: We arrived a little late for lunch at 9 am. The welcome was incredible, the service very pleasant. Thank you for all the smiles. We enjoyed some delicious food while watching the Olympics... We would have loved to stay longer, but the holidays are over! See you soon.

15/02/2026: The Hôtel des Evettes is a place you'd almost want to keep secret, as Pierre's kindness, his team's helpfulness, and the charm of the hotel and Bonneval make every stay exceptional and unforgettable. But it would be unfair if this recognition weren't shared, even if Pierre humbly doesn't seek it. 👍👌😎

20/07/2026: I must be feeling nostalgic 😅 I loved this restaurant for its charmingly rustic 80s vibe, so simple and welcoming. But also for the quality of the food and the chef's smile. You can actually see the chef at work because everything is in full view of the customers on some tables. Not even a microwave there, so forget about frozen food... I thought back to my grandfather when we used to prepare snails (called "cagouilles" here) or the eels he'd caught together, and it brought tears to my eyes... One more thing, it seems to be the local favorite, and when you keep coming back, it's because you're well received 😘 In short, I loved it! I can't wait to go back to La Rochelle.

29/07/2026: After staying at the Cabanes du Lac, we discovered the Courbet restaurant, which we highly recommend. Whether you choose the daily menu or the à la carte options, our taste buds will remember it. Remember to book! 😉
