24/02/2026: While staying in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, I was simply looking for somewhere close to eat and decided on an Italian restaurant without overthinking it. No reviews checked, no comparisons made, just one of those moments when you’re tired, hungry, and walk into the first place that feels right. From the outside, Chez Arnaud doesn’t seem very large, at least on the side I initially saw. Later, I realized they also have another space across the street where their pizza oven is located. The décor is bold and distinctive, with red tones dominating the space and movie posters covering the walls. It’s the kind of atmosphere you either love or dislike, but it certainly gives the restaurant personality. For me, it felt different and memorable. I ordered a salad and a pasta dish. The salad arrived quickly, nicely presented and fresh. The pasta with Alfredo sauce was cooked perfectly al dente, creamy without being heavy, and served in a very generous portion, more than enough to satisfy a big appetite. Overall, the service was warm and efficient, and the prices were reasonable for Paris. A spontaneous stop that turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

21/03/2026: We came to eat at this traditional Lyonnais bistro with friends, and it was a very pleasant surprise. The place is very cozy and quite unique, without the kitschy decor of typical bistros. There's only one woman serving, one person in the kitchen, and a clear passion for gastronomy. The waitress was very helpful and pleasant; it was a real pleasure to be served in such a way. I only ate dishes that I haven't usually liked since childhood, and yet I had a very good time. The black pudding was excellent, the andouillette very good, but above all, the mustard sauce deserves legendary status. The dessert was slightly less impressive than the rest, but still good. The €37 set menu is definitely worth the price; I highly recommend it.

28/02/2026: I come to this café regularly, often in the morning when I have things to do in the neighborhood. The coffee and pastries are very good, and the service is both quick and friendly. I particularly love the warm colors of the woodwork and armchairs. I feel right at home there. In short, it's the perfect place to start the day off right 💕

10/03/2026: We ate at this restaurant recently. The experience was generally okay, but several things could be improved. The service still lacks experience. The manager seemed a bit overwhelmed and didn't always appear to be in control of the situation, which led to several mistakes (problems with order slips, confusion with reservations due to incorrect dates, etc.). This is all the more surprising given that the restaurant wasn't full when we visited. Some kitchen errors were also very noticeable to everyone in the dining room—for example, when a piece of meat was forgotten—which suggests a lack of discretion and coordination between the front of house and the kitchen. As for the food, the dishes are decent and quite tasty, but the overall impression is sometimes one of using rather processed ingredients. A bit more fresh produce would certainly make a difference. On the other hand, I want to highlight the excellent work of the young waitress. She was very versatile: managing drinks, serving main courses and desserts, all while taking the time to keep her workspace clean. His professionalism and efficiency deserve to be mentioned. Finally, we had already visited once under the previous owners and everything went very well. We therefore hope that the restaurant will be able to regain that level of quality over time. In summary, a restaurant with potential, but which would benefit from improving the organization of the service and the quality of the food.

30/12/2025: A disappointing experience in a place that presents itself as a tea room. First of all, the welcome was rather cold and didn't exactly put us at ease. When ordering, an inappropriate remark was made about my teenage son ordering a cappuccino—a pointless and unprofessional judgment. The cappuccino served wasn't one: an espresso with a very light, thin layer of foam, without any real textured milk. When I pointed this out, the response was curt: "otherwise it would be a latte." As a barista myself and the manager of a coffee shop, I'd like to offer a brief reminder of the basics: => Cappuccino: • 1 espresso (~25–30 ml) • ~60 ml of hot milk • ~60 ml of dense and creamy milk foam: which, by the way, is perfect for practicing your latte art. (With slightly less milk foam and a double espresso, you can even make a flat white) => Latte: • 1 espresso (~25–30 ml) • ~200 ml of hot milk • thin layer of foam (a few millimeters) => Viennese coffee: Double espresso + whipped cream An espresso topped with a little foam is neither a cappuccino nor a latte. Beyond the drink itself, the lack of attention and willingness to learn is regrettable. When you claim expertise, a minimum of professionalism and consideration is expected. Several locals advised me against going there, but I like to form my own opinion. I should have listened. I'm giving it 2 stars because the espresso itself is good... but that's not enough in a place like this.

02/01/2026: A low-end "Parisian" brasserie. They sell frozen snails for €13 and don't even bother to heat them properly; we ended up with snails that were burning hot on the outside but cold on the inside… The bread for dipping seemed stale from the day before. Small glasses of Chardonnay for €6… Very disappointing.

12/02/2026: The dessert option is fine, but it would be good to make it taller and bigger so everyone can see it... also, the desserts don't look homemade like the appetizers...

In times of crisis, the managers understood everything, simplicity with fresh products, very well prepared with taste and flavor, family cooking, with dishes in the French brasserie tradition and of course very reasonable prices, like their menus where nothing is to be criticized, without forgetting a very kind staff, so in a single word, BRAVO, and see you very soon.
