28/08/2026: We arrived in Ollioules around 1:30 pm, just as several restaurants had already closed… and what a delightful surprise it was to walk through the door of Le Papillon! 🦋 Behind the unassuming exterior of a small neighborhood bar lies absolutely delicious home-style cooking. The chef works wonders: butcher's carpaccio, homemade lasagna, a superb composed salad with fried zucchini blossoms… Everything was fresh, generous, and bursting with flavor. 😍 And then there's her famous chocolate fondant, the chef's signature dish, which everyone asks for! She's given it a twist with "Fonckie," an incredible combination of chocolate fondant and cookie dough… a real treat. 🍫🍪 From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, with the added bonus of lovely servers and a truly warm welcome. A place we discovered completely by chance… but one we'll definitely be returning to! ❤️

23/10/2026: I went to the café with a friend one Saturday afternoon, and it was far from full. So we went straight in and sat down, opening our laptops. A waitress came and took our orders. While another friend joined us, she brought our orders and took the order of the newcomer, who had also started working on his laptop in the meantime. All three of us were duly served when another waiter informed us that we couldn't work in the café on weekends, and that, in short, we either had to close our laptops or leave. It's truly regrettable that such dishonesty still exists to encourage spending. The waitress came to our table three times (and I'll spare you the details of bringing the menus), and each time she confirmed that we had our laptops and were working on them. Let's assume she wasn't aware either; after all, no one was forcing her to read the small sign upon entering (which we obviously hadn't read, too eager to take advantage of the limited time we had to appreciate every element of the decor, which, while tasteful, was nonetheless rather cluttered). The second waiter, on the other hand, was clearly well-informed and perfectly capable of warning us before we ordered anything, since he was present in the café. It would have been appropriate to give us a free warning for the future, or at least offer some kind of discount, since he hadn't politely informed us from the outset that our devices weren't welcome, with the petty aim of tricking us into buying something.

15/09/2026: Lunch was the perfect blend of late summer and early autumn. I ordered the scallop rillettes and the pork loin. Everything was absolutely perfect for me; in fact, it was incredible because I ate the pork loin with my hands, like a wild animal. Everything was homemade, and what a house it was!

15/08/2026: An excellent restaurant in the charming village of Chantelles, where we return with great pleasure every year. The cuisine is delicious, incorporating high-quality local produce; there's a real focus on flavor, and the dishes are always beautifully presented. The welcome and service provided by the owner are very warm and always with a smile. The restaurant's dining room, completely renovated this winter, contributes to a high-quality customer experience. We will gladly return next summer!

16/07/2026: I was craving a burger. I dropped by during the lunch rush, without warning, to place a takeaway order. It took 10 minutes. And as a result, I stuffed myself silly. One of the best burgers I've ever had, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The chef and his daughter are very friendly. In short, the best restaurant in the area, by a long shot…

28/05/2026: Air conditioning was broken, but the breakfast was decent. My stay here was a bit disappointing. The air conditioning in the room was completely broken and didn't work at all, which made for a rather uncomfortable night's sleep. While the AC issue was a major letdown, the breakfast the next morning was decent—the variety and taste met basic expectations. I hope the hotel will actively inspect and repair their AC units, as a comfortable sleeping environment is the most essential part of a hotel stay.

07/06/2026: Dining A wonderful discovery! The setting is truly delightful, both chic and welcoming, making for a truly excellent experience. We each ordered the butcher's cut and a dessert, and everything was delicious. A special mention goes to the homemade fries, which were superb! The blonde lady at the reception was particularly friendly, warm, and cheerful. It was a pleasure to be greeted with such kindness. The service was also quick and efficient. We were so pleased with our meal that we booked again for Sunday lunch, and once again, we thoroughly enjoyed it! I highly recommend it. 😊🍽️

01/06/2026: We stopped at Le Point Bar on May 21st after visiting Les Machines de l'île, which unfortunately had already closed at 5:00 PM. The bar is in a lively area: lots of young people outside enjoying beers, spritzes, and cocktails, and the great atmosphere encouraged us to go in. We took the opportunity to escape the afternoon heat and ordered a couple of perfectly poured pints. The music was just right—lively but not too loud for conversation—and the service was very attentive. An ideal place to take a break after Les Machines or to start your night out on the island. Highly recommended.

16/06/2026: A very warm welcome, excellent restaurant, well located (maximum half an hour from Puy du Fou, which was our main destination). The room had everything we needed and was air-conditioned.

31/05/2026: A hotel with very good service. Excellent cleanliness and bedding, and the breakfast was plentiful and well-presented. The owners were welcoming and offered helpful advice. If we have the opportunity to return to this hotel, we will. We recommend it.
