19/03/2026: La Pergola is the casino where my wife and I first played, brought by our friends Norbert and Elisabeth, who lived on Rue de la République at the time. For a first try, it was a resounding success. Furious at having lost, I threw my last few coins into a machine. I won enough to buy my wife a superb pair of handmade red espadrilles, which she had been wanting, and I treated everyone to the restaurant "La Banquise," if I'm not mistaken, where the four of us shared a delicious and generous seafood platter. 19/05/2026: Even though it was almost 2 PM and the Auberge closes at 3 PM, we were warmly welcomed, along with our dog. We felt truly welcome; the service was very good and very kind. She took the time to explain exactly what each dish was. The food was delicious (we had filet mignon and a truffade). Nothing but good things. We enjoyed ourselves.

12/04/2026: A tasting of three different champagnes is highly recommended. The staff are welcoming, and the overall experience—on a calm Friday in April—feels pleasantly intimate. It should be noted that the wines served here do not originate from the village itself, but from a champagne house a few kilometres away. Nevertheless, the Blanc de Blancs is delightful and certainly worth recommending.

25/05/2026: Great brasserie! The menu is always very tempting, even though I haven't had the chance to try the food yet. However, I have tried their cocktails and they are excellent! The setting is pleasant and the atmosphere very friendly. I will gladly return to discover the rest of the menu.

18/05/2026: A very good restaurant: quality ingredients, original dishes in a lovely setting. The only downside was the much-touted terrace, which meant we had to eat in the cold despite the blankets kindly provided. Remember to ask when you make your reservation whether your table is inside or outside so you can dress accordingly 😉

01/04/2026: An island of great charm, made magical by the tides

29/03/2026: The afternoon spent on that island proved to be a thoroughly unpleasant and exhausting experience: the wind whipped our faces and chilled us to the bone, and there wasn't a single place open to get a hot drink to warm up. I will never go back, even though I live nearby. It's like a Moine Island, only uglier, sadder, windier, and inhabited by a few odious people. A cursed place to be avoided at all costs.

12/06/2026: A mixed experience. The service was very slow, with a long wait for the main courses and over 20 minutes for dessert. Furthermore, the Thai salad was very bland and lacked flavor. Fortunately, the staff acknowledged these shortcomings and kindly offered us some complimentary drinks as a gesture of goodwill, which was appreciated. Despite this attention, the overall experience remains disappointing.

10/06/2026: We went there tonight for my son's birthday. The tuna was delicious, the beef perfect, and the crepes for dessert were wonderful. To top it all off, the service was impeccable and the waiter was fantastic. Thank you for the candle! 😉

10/05/2026: My husband and I stopped here on our honeymoon. We were happy to find such a pleasant little spot to have a glass of wine. The owners are so lovely and kind, and gave great wine suggestions. It's a warm and friendly place to stop, and we hope to return soon :)

26/05/2025: Passing through St. Omer around 1 p.m. and feeling a bit peckish, I decided to stop by the warehouse. I ordered a bacon burger and an American fricadelle to eat in. Served in less than 5 minutes ⏲️ What generosity, the fries, and the two sandwiches were really very good. The products are of good quality (faluche and Bacon Burger ingredients 🍔 👍). Salt and vinegar were available to season the fries as we wished. In the dining room, there was no music, just the sound of vehicles passing by the chip shop. It remained relatively quiet for a quiet meal. The price was very reasonable. The staff was helpful and attentive. I recommend it and will definitely come back if I'm in St. Omer again.
