Friendly staff and an authentic Parisian atmosphere made the experience even better. A lovely local spot we’d happily visit again!

09/07/2026: Tonight, for my birthday, I had the pleasure of discovering L’Escapade des Sens in Thiviers. The setting is magnificent, the welcome warm, and the service impeccable. We enjoyed a five-course menu, accompanied by three amuse-bouches, and everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The servers were incredibly attentive, smiling, and very pleasant, and the pace between courses was perfectly controlled. A truly wonderful discovery, which I wholeheartedly recommend to all lovers of fine cuisine. A must-try!

04/07/2026: Re-tested and approved in July. Slightly too generous a portion, but absolutely top-notch from start to finish—a feast for the senses. The wine pairing was interesting; luckily, we only ordered one bottle for two people. Congratulations and best of luck!

03/10/2026: All-you-can-eat mussels evening was a chaotic affair for my colleagues and me. We had a reservation for 8 pm, arrived at 7:50 pm, and were seated. We ordered drinks and mussels after a considerable wait. The drinks arrived quickly, but the mussels didn't arrive until almost 9 pm. We were starving, so we ate our mussels and waited for the rest of our meal. The waitress came over and asked if she could clear our plates and if we were finished. We wanted to move on to dessert, but we told her no, it was our first round and we wanted to continue. We ordered three more large pots of balls, but instead, we received small ones... which, incidentally, also took almost 30 minutes to arrive. The servers apologized both times for the wait, but by 10 pm, we still hadn't eaten. We finished our small pot of mussels, and the head chef came out, greeted all the tables, and announced that she had actually turned off the stoves, even though none of the servers had mentioned it 😤. She offered to turn them back on, but knowing it was already past 10 pm, my colleagues and I were completely fed up with it. We only accepted dessert and left. My colleagues didn't want to discuss the service, but I did. We are extremely disappointed and won't be back. We felt ripped off; you don't close the kitchen when there are still people who want to eat. Personally, I went home and had to make myself a snack. The only positive point was that the mussels were good.

15/09/2026: A perfect christening thanks to Mylène and Victor! We chose this restaurant for Tara's christening and we don't regret it at all. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, from the main course to the dessert, with dishes that were a hit with all our guests. The service was impeccable from beginning to end: attentive, friendly, and professional. Mylène and Victor took over the establishment at the beginning of the year and they have risen to the challenge brilliantly! We received nothing but compliments from our family and friends. A huge thank you to them for their warm welcome. We wish them every success and all the best for the future! We will definitely be back.

31/08/2026: The best cafe with extremely tasty coffee. The atmosphere is unmatched, music is excellent and I enjoyed every second I spent in this bar. I can't possibly describe how wonderful and kind the staff is. We visited this cafe every day of our stay in Bordeaux and met both the owner and waiter who also works here. Both were incredible; a joyful waiter gave us many recommendations which were truly worth a visit, shared some wonderful music recommendations with us and was overall so extremely welcoming and kind, such a great man. The owner was also the kindest and most welcoming man, who even played a chess game with us (and won, he is really good!). We were truly sad we had to leave and would come back to Bordeaux (all the way from Slovenia) just to experience a morning coffee in this outstanding bar again. Thank you so much for this experience, hands down best bar in the world.

An elegant and welcoming setting From the moment you step through the door, you are enveloped in an atmosphere that is at once contemporary, intimate, and profoundly warm. The decor is refined and minimalist, perfectly showcasing the dishes without ever distracting from them. You immediately feel privileged. Top-notch cuisine On the plate, it's a veritable festival of flavors and emotions. The chef elevates the Breton terroir with rare creativity and audacity. Each dish is a visual work of art, where the precision of the cooking rivals the perfect balance of seasonings. The interplay of textures, the surprising combinations (including magnificent surf-and-turf pairings), and the exceptional quality of the local produce all testify to a very high level of expertise. It's refined, delicate, and incredibly delicious. Impeccable service The excellence of the cuisine is perfectly complemented by exemplary service. The team is professional, friendly, and attentive without ever being stuffy. The explanations provided for each dish demonstrate a genuine passion and a love of sharing. 31/08/2026: Great restaurant, a wonderful discovery. We were just passing through and Tortoni was highly recommended to us. Beautiful decor, comfortable, and welcoming. The duck confit with fries and salad was absolutely delicious. I would have loved to have seconds, but the kitchen had closed by then… If I were ever in the area again, I would definitely go back. The only problem? I couldn't decide what to order from the menu 🥵😭 everything looked amazing for food lovers. I'm giving it 3 stars for the service simply because we were served dessert before our main course, and the smiles disappeared during the meal. But otherwise, everyone was very attentive and helpful. Thank you.

26/05/2026: This hotel is a full of charm and character the fireplace in the restaurant is amazing. The bar area is warm and inviting, with a great choice of beers, and the restaurant is absolutely outstanding. The food was exceptional fresh, full of flavour and clearly made with high-quality locally sourced ingredients, which really made a difference. Olliver is an exceptional host and genuinely makes the whole experience memorable. Friendly, welcoming and incredibly engaging. After dinner, he even joined us with a bottle of wine, which created such a relaxed and personal atmosphere and really summed up the hospitality of the hotel. His excellent English also makes everything effortless. Great value for money is superb, we will defiantly be staying there again next year choice without hesitation.
