26/09/2026: A pretty nice restaurant, first time I went, there was a fairly wide selection of dishes, honestly worth trying, especially since the setting on Rue de la Maix is ​​lovely, with many restaurants on that street.

The service was impeccable, and there was very little wait, even though it was opening day. And it might just be the best pizza I've ever had!

22/09/2026: Risky exploration of the menu: - Squid risotto: a lot of rice for maybe 50 grams of squid and chunks of chorizo ​​that set the palate on fire. Is it good? Hold the 🔥 - Ravioli from Romans: probably a portion of ravioli drowned in an avalanche of vegetables and beans swimming in lukewarm liquid, and the taste buds are still wondering where this improbable invention came from? No miracle with two glasses of wine, obviously. Cost of ingredients/price: 1/61. Quality/price: 1/61 euros. Friendly welcome, but that wasn't the purpose of the visit. Not sure the person in charge of the kitchen is responsible; "no one is obligated to do the impossible."

20/09/2026: I usually go to this restaurant, but generally in the evening and on weekdays. I went there yesterday at lunchtime (a Saturday), and while the food was still excellent, the extremely slow service ruined the experience. I won't be going back. A simple apology or a small gesture would have made the experience less unpleasant.

23/08/2026: The coffee gave us terrible stomach aches and tasted awful. After we sent the syrup back with water because it had feathers in it, they brought it back to us in a horribly disgusting glass (see photo, very, very, very dirty).

06/08/2026: Very disappointed compared to the good reviews I read on Google... One Americano and one pain au chocolat for €5, which seems excessive given the quality of the pastry. The pain au chocolat was on par with a mass-produced one from Carrefour. What's more, it didn't seem to be freshly baked... And we looked for the chocolate inside... there were only traces of chocolate... Gone are the "chocolate bars" that used to be found in good artisanal pain au chocolat... There's no point in "deceiving" customers by offering pain au chocolat covered in sugar syrup that adds nothing to the pastry except making it sticky! An experience not to be repeated.

08/06/2026: We had drinks here several times in our recent stay in JOnzac. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The wine was delicious and sitting outside, opposite the chateau was brilliant. Would highly recommend.

The meals are high-quality and very generous. In short, at Roger's, you feel right at home. A quick note for motorcyclists: this establishment isn't listed in any motorcycle guides, but you can go there with complete confidence; there's ample parking for motorcycles.

30/09/2026: Hello, I'm making this post because I'm quite unhappy with the staff at Ange in the early morning. You should know that I go there between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. And frankly, I find their way of working very unpleasant; it's not at all customer-focused. There are always several people at the counter, but at that hour, all that matters is not serving customers but simply restocking the shelves. As soon as someone comes in for breakfast, it's a disaster. The person serving spends 10 minutes making coffee, hot chocolate, and preparing the tray, and the person restocking the shelves doesn't have the presence of mind to take over and serve the waiting customers. They just look at you and continue restocking their shelves, and you're left waiting. And when you have three people ahead of you who come in for breakfast, well, I won't even go there. And it's been like this for weeks. Furthermore, Ange has gone up to the prices of traditional bakeries, even more expensive on some pastries, even though we know the quality isn't the same! In short, I'm slightly unhappy with the chain and I think it's getting worse and worse. So, I know you attract customers with your 3+1 free offer, but I think a little more respect for the customer would be a real plus.

The welcome was warm, the rooms comfortable and quiet, and the surroundings of this beautiful estate peaceful. The meals were delicious, and thanks to Pierre's kindness and helpful advice, we had a fantastic time. We would love to return for another special occasion. We highly recommend it.

15/10/2026: After a very good experience at the farm in Dede near the train station, this was not the case here. The steak was overcooked, the sauce was extremely salty, the morels were rubbery, and the gratin dauphinois was really not creamy at all. The service was impeccable.
